He and his friend, Chris, were on the beach when his gold chain was accidentally pulled from his neck. The gold cross went flying somewhere into the sand. Will and Chris met me at the site and gave me some more information. I turned on my metal detector and began the search. The cross was found toward the end of the grid line. Lost wedding ring in sand, Daytona Beach, Florida….Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Vincent and his wife Liz were here in Daytona Beach, Florida celebrating a special anniversary and enjoying a warm summer day at the beach. They decided to rent an umbrella, a beach chair and a small table from Glenn and Robin at Doc’s Beach Rental! Before going into the water Liz took her three rings off and put them in a small side pocket of her backpack and set it down on the sand next to the lawn chair. As they swam and enjoyed the water the tide was slowly coming up and getting close to Liz’s backpack so she decided to set the backpack on its side up on the small table. Of course not realizing that one of her precious rings had fallen out onto the wet sand. They swam awhile longer and then grabbed their towels, sandals and backpack and headed for their room to shower, change and get to the airport to catch their plane for home. After cleaning up and getting dressed Liz went to put her rings on and realized one of her rings was missing. They hurried down onto the beach and desperately searched for her ring and it was nowhere to be found. They asked the kind couple at Doc’s Beach Rentals to keep their eyes open just in case and with deep sadness in their hearts they headed to the airport! Later that day Vincent found theringfinders.com website and gave me a call. Again I always ask allot of questions to help me narrow down as close as possible where the missing ring is hiding. (And I always warn people to NOT post information about their lost item and its location on Facebook or Craigslist…UNTIL I have a chance to figure out all the details and have the opportunity to thoroughly search the area.).

The following day I made plans to search at low tide and I hoped to be able to meet the friendly couple who run Doc’s Beach Rentals and gather what information I could about the exact location and where they normally put out their beach chairs and umbrellas. Upon my arrival at the location I saw there were a few people swinging metal detectors right in the area where Vincent and Liz indicated she had lost her ring! I was stunned and soon learned that Liz had actually posted on Facebook what she had lost and where she lost it!!! I desperately hoped I was not too late and after talking to the rental personnel I decided to conduct my own search. As I walked towards the main target area I could see the drag marks and obvious indications that someone had searched this area already. So I went as close as possible to the first beach chair and umbrella and began my grid search and I had not walked 20 feet and BAM! A sharp, solid, shallow signal indicated a good target and as I slowly pushed the wet sand away I could see a beautiful white gold rim of a ring with little diamonds along the one side and there was Liz’s lost ring! Another miracle of how God allows a lost ring to be found and returned to its rightful owner!

Thank you Vincent and Liz for trusting me to search for, to find and to return to you what you thought was lost forever!

Mellisa contacted me for help to locate three of her rings which she lost in the sand at Huntington Beach’s Davenport Beach. She was very distraught and her husband was not to happy either.

Mellisa said the rings were on a towel and when she picked it up the rings were lost. I searched the immediate area of concern but couldn’t find them. I moved towards the water and found the one ring with the bigger diamond.

Just about two feet to the right I located the other two rings one at a time. Every time I handed Mellisa a ring her spirts picked up immensely. They packed up and went home relieved that I was able to find her beautiful set of rings

LOST – LSU GRADUATION RING – FOUND ON LSU CAMPUS

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

Carrie and Sid received a call from William’s friend, Cambell. William and he were walking home after watching LSU win the first game of the College World Series finals. William was standing on a ledge on LSU campus when he slipped and fell into some shrubs. He realized his recently earned graduation ring had slipped off his finger. This was the ring his proud grandparents had given him. He and Cambell searched late that night and early the next morning without success. That’s when they found the Ringfinders site. After the call, we headed out to the location. Thick with bushes, metallic confetti and some beer cans we ended up primarily crawling and using pin pointers. Carrie found the ring within 15 minutes.  The guys were jubilant as were we.

Thank you for your generous reward!  GO TIGERS!!

Ring lost in Coronado found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Michael was at the beach tossing a ball around when his yellow gold wedding ring flew off into the dry sand and disappeared. Having lost his ring before, and with a good outcome by contacting TheRingFinders.com, he knew just who to call this time. I headed over quickly and met Michael at a pre-arranged spot. He escorted me to the search area and explained the circumstances on how the ring was lost. Not a big area, maybe 20 foot square, and after a minute or so, I got the signal I was expecting. A probe with my pin pointer zeroed in on the target and I plucked his ring from the sand. Michael was a happy repeat customer. Thank you for the reward.

Lost Gold Engagement Ring Found and Returned, in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with a Metal Detector

  • from Old Orchard Beach (Maine, United States)

Hello, my name is Dennis Boothby and this is my 1st blog a a member of The Ring Finders. I have been an avid Metal Detectorist since 2001, almost 22 years. I retired in July 2021 and now have more time to devote to the hobby that I love, Metal Detecting. I find extreme pleasure, joy and personal satisfaction from returning lost rings, jewelry, phones, key fobs or any other metallic objects, to their rightful owners.   I am now a member of the The Ring Finders, a World Wide metal detecting organization whose sole purpose is to return lost items to the owner. How wonderful is that?.  Over the years I have found many rings, phones, jewelry keys, key fobs, etc and have been so fortunate to have returned many of those items to the rightful owners. Most days I can be found metal detecting on the beaches, parks, woods and fields,  in Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Pine Point and Kennebunkport , Maine.  I would consider it an honor to look for lost jewelry or other items that you may have lost. I will hunt beaches, parks, farms, RV parks, yards and other places, as long as permission is granted and it is safe to detect. I can also metal detect in Saltwater and Fresh water, waist to chest deep, as long as I can safely detect the body of water.  If you lost your item where the use of metal detectors is restricted, you would have to gain permission for someone to look for your item with a metal detector and transfer that permission to me.  While I usually metal detect in the Southern Maine counties of York and Cumberland,  I occasionally will travel further.  You may call me to discuss your location.   I charge a $25.00 call out, trip fee to cover travel expenses (fuel, parking, tolls, etc.). Requesting I travel outside my local area would likely increase the trip fee, usually .50 cents per mile over 30 miles from my home,  but that will be discussed at our initial contact.  I work on a ”Reward Basis Only”… that means you pay what it’s worth to you and what you can afford to have me find your lost item.  I am a member of The Ring Finders and you may find out more about this organization on their website.  You can also search  on YouTube for “The Ring Finders” to see many videos of successful recoveries of lost items.  If you have lost a treasured keepsake or other types of valuable items, please call or text me today, to see if I might be able to help recover it. Why rent a metal detector when a professional from The Ring Finders can help you ?

Thank you and I am looking forward to helping reunite you with  lost item.

Barnegat NJ Lost Wedding Ring in the Yard recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Samantha messaged me last night about her ring that flew off her daughter, Johanna’s finger while she was playing in the front yard. It was her grandmothers ring and had great sentimental value to her. I had already went to bed, but my auto message prompted her to call. After getting the details it was pretty apparent the ring had slid off her daughters finger when she threw her hands in the air. We didn’t know how far it flew, but knew positively, it was in the grass, someplace in the front yard. I met her right after she got off work to start the search. When I pulled up I didn’t like what I saw. It was an underground electric transformer box right on the corner of the property. If you know metal detectors the EMI interference from them can sometimes make the search impossible. I didn’t let her know this, and adjusted my machine to the conditions. Not 10 minutes later the machine gave the sweet sound of a platinum ring under the coil. I felt around with my pin pointer, as the grass was deep, and it was pushed into the dirt a bit from the family searching the day before. When I spotted the ring, I held the pointer on it to let it keep screaming, and looked over to her with a big smile on my face. She ran over in total amazement, with a priceless look on her face. The next 15 minutes are what makes this hobby so special, it was very sentimental moment.#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lostringlavallettenj,#lostringortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj,#lostringlongbranchnj,#lostringbradleybeachnj,

Brant Beach(LBI) NJ Lost Cartier Bangle Bracelet recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Got a call from Camille Saturday evening. She had lost her bangle bracelet, but wasn’t sure where. She did have a picture from the night before, which was taken on Brant Beach (LBI) NJ. We figured that was a good place to start. They marked the location in google maps and sent it to me. I arrived at the beach ASAP and after about 1 1/2 hrs. I had no luck finding it. She came down to look where I had been, and we made a few adjustments to the search location. Within 15 min. I had one half of this beautiful Cartier love bracelet in my scoop, and about 10 min later both half’s were safely in my pouch. I walked up to the house to meet her, and told her she wasn’t in the spot she believed she was. With that said, Camille looked down and said, « I guess you had no luck ». I replied, « you were 10′ over » and handed her the bracelet. What a weekend, her birthday was Saturday, her lost bracelet was found, and today her grandson is expected to arrive!!!!!!!!!.

Forked River NJ Necklace lost at the Lake recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder august 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Aubreigh. She was at the lake on Wednesday and somehow she lost her extremely sentimental necklace that was given to her by her late mother. The area where their blanket was is where she felt it was definitely lost. Sure enough, within 30 seconds if got a scratchy tone, moved the sand with my foot, and there it was. The look on her face was priceless. She was by far the youngest person I have had call, and my gosh, so professional, and determined.
