Newlywed’s Wedding Band is Lost in Rough Currents And Found With Metal Detector

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Noah’s wife reached out to me saying her husband « had lost his ring at Emerald Isle and was very upset ». After getting a few details, I headed over as quickly as I could to the public access they were visiting.  When I arrived at the beach, strong waves were driving a powerful current along the sloped shoreline, and high tides were breaking over the slope, making the search tough. After a few passes in the water with no luck, I spotted Noah farther west in the water. He waved for me to try where he was, and just after he moved to shore, BAM! My XP Deus II gave a loud, clear 76 signal. The current was so strong that when I pulled my scoop from the sandy bottom, all the sand washed away, leaving only Noah’s large gold wedding band.

Lost Heirloom Gold Necklace Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders Metal Detector Service – Emerald Isle, NC

Morgan was spending time with his family in Emerald Isle.  While on the beach, Morgan decided to go surfing with his brother and removed his necklace before heading out into the surf.  Upon returning, he had forgot about the necklace and packed up quickly and left the beach.  Morgan stated he and 12 other people searched for 3 hours that same evening and he came back the following morning to search for 2 additional hours and could not find his lost heirloom necklace.  Morgan reached out to me later that morning and I arrived shortly afterwards to meet Morgan’s father.  Morgan needed to get back home (out of town) and his father showed me the search area on the beach.  It took me less than 30 minutes to pull Morgan’s lost necklace from the high tide line of the beach.  This was a very memorable recovery and everyone involved was so thankful.  (Morgan’s father in the recovery photo)

Gold Wedding Band Disappears Into Emerald Isle Beach Sand, Recovered

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Johnny’s family was enjoying their annual visit to Emerald Isle, NC.  A family tradition for many years. Johnny placed his wedding band in the chair before getting in the water and the chair was folded up. His ring was now missing.  After scouring the area in search for the lost ring,  lines were drawn in the sand to mark the area and Crystal Coast Ring Finders were called to assist in the recovery.  I arrived shortly afterwards and all metal objects were placed out of the way and the quick search began.  My first target seem suspicious and my pinpointer confirmed it was too deep to be the recently lost wedding band.  The second target was a strong positive signal and I told them I think I found it.  I placed my hand into the sand and pulled Johnny’s ring back to the surface.

Johnny told me they took a similar ring and dropped it into the sand to see what would happen and it buried itself with loose sand.

A metal detector made a huge difference but if you don’t know how to operate it, it’s best to save time and money hiring an expert.
