Wedding Ring Found!

“I highly recommend Rob Ellis. Most importantly, he found my wife’s missing wedding ring which she accidentally tossed off our deck when throwing out feed for animals. But the recommendation goes far beyond that. He behaved in the manner that I wish all vendors would:

He was quick to respond to my initial query & maintained good communication throughout the process.

Very thorough in understanding the details and circumstances pertaining to the missing item.

He kept his appointment and even though his arrival was delayed, he kept me abreast of the delay and I never had to « chase. »

He was also an absolute gentleman.

Cheer and God Bless!

Matt”

Thank you, Matt. It was a pleasure!!

Sentimental Charm Necklace Found in Ocean City NJ Beach Sand by Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano

Lost a ring in Ocean City NJ?
Call 215-850-0188
Visitors come to Ocean City to relax and create memories, but sometimes valuable jewelry disappears unexpectedly in the sand. That happened to Jim after spending time on the beach with family and friends. The next morning, he contacted ringfinderssouthjersey.com about a sentimental chain and charm he believed had fallen off during the previous day’s beach trip.
The necklace carried tremendous sentimental value because it had been given to him 10 years earlier. After returning home that evening, Jim noticed the necklace was no longer around his neck. He searched everywhere he could think of before realizing the beach was likely where it had been lost.
Time matters during beach recoveries. Ocean tides, beach cleaning equipment, and heavy foot traffic can all make locating jewelry increasingly difficult. After speaking with Jim and getting a detailed description of the area, I headed out with my metal detecting equipment to begin the search.
When searching for lost jewelry in beach sand, staying methodical is important. I carefully worked the target area using overlapping search patterns to ensure nothing would be missed. After a short time, my detector alerted me to a solid target beneath the sand.
Within moments, the sentimental necklace and charm were safely recovered.
Recoveries like this highlight why experience and quick response matter when searching for lost jewelry on New Jersey beaches. Thin chains and smaller charms can easily disappear beneath the sand and become impossible to spot visually. Professional metal detecting equipment greatly improves the chances of recovery.
Thankfully, Jim’s cherished necklace was returned safely, turning a stressful situation into a happy ending.

Fortunately, a prompt call to RingFindersSouthJersey.com, the trusted jewelry recovery service in South Jersey, led to a fast and successful recovery.

A Panicked Call from a Stone Harbor Visitor

I received an urgent call from a visitor enjoying the beautiful beaches of Stone Harbor. She explained that while relaxing near the ocean, they had placed both rings inside a beach chair for safekeeping. When the chair shifted, the rings slipped unnoticed into the soft sand below. After a frantic but unsuccessful search on their own, they contacted a professional metal detecting specialist.

Why Fast Response Matters in Lost Ring Recovery

After gathering the details over the phone, I arrived at the beach within 15 minutes. Quick response is critical during any lost ring recovery in Stone Harbor, NJ. Busy beach traffic, shifting sand, and nearby beach equipment can quickly bury or move jewelry further underground, making professional intervention essential.

Professional Recovery with Precision

Upon arrival, I carefully listened to the couple’s account and identified the most likely search area. Using professional metal detecting equipment specifically designed for beach recoveries, I conducted a precise grid search around the chair location.

Within 10 minutes, a strong signal appeared. Seconds later, the engagement ring was safely recovered from the sand. A short distance away, the wedding band was also located. The relief and excitement on their faces replaced the earlier panic almost instantly.

Gold Wedding Ring Found by Rob Ellis in Herndon, VA.

I Can’t Believe It!

Mike was handling his dog when his precious wedding band flew off. He believed it was near the front step but couldn’t find it. He called me and I was able to conduct a search right away.

Mike’s Ring

Mike thought his gentle arm movement would result in his ring landing in the flower bed near the walkway. I thoroughly searched in the mulched flower bed with my Equinox 900 and the small coil. I then switched to a large coil to search the yard. Mike’s ring must have bounced off the concrete walkway and landed about twelve feet into the yard.

I took a photo of the spot and asked Mike to pick up his very sentimental ring. As you can see from his expression, he was shocked and happy at the same time!!

Brigantine NJ Lost Wedding Band Found by Ring Finders South Jersey

Lost a ring in Brigantine NJ?

Call 215-850-0188

Losing a wedding band in the ocean can feel final. The waves, currents, and constantly shifting sand make recovery seem nearly impossible. But a recent recovery in Brigantine, NJ proves that with experience and persistence, even a ring lost in the surf can be found.

The client was enjoying a swim in the ocean in Brigantine when he suddenly realized his wedding band had slipped off his finger. Cold water and wave action often cause fingers to shrink, making rings easier to lose. Within seconds, the ring disappeared beneath the surface.

A professional search was conducted shortly after the loss. The initial search focused on the area where the ring was believed to have come off. Despite a careful and methodical grid search using specialized metal detecting equipment designed for ocean conditions, the ring was not located. This is not uncommon, as tides and wave movement can quickly shift objects away from their original location.

Rather than giving up, a second search was scheduled the following day. This time, the strategy changed. By evaluating tide patterns, wave direction, and how heavier objects settle in the sand, the search area was adjusted beyond the original drop zone.

During the second search, after expanding and repositioning the grid, a strong signal was detected beneath the sand. Within moments, the lost wedding band was recovered.

This recovery highlights an important lesson: rings lost in the ocean are often moved by natural forces, and a second search with an adjusted approach can make all the difference.

At Ring Finders South Jersey, each recovery is handled with experience, the right equipment, and a commitment to finding what others might consider lost for good.

If you’ve lost a ring in the ocean or on the beach, don’t assume it’s gone forever. A professional search even a second one can lead to a successful recovery when you least expect it.

Lost Gold Wedding Band Recovered in Homeland Baltimore, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

I received a text message 2 days ago from Nick who lost his wedding band while gardening a few days prior. Not only was Nick confident that he lost it in his yard, he informed me that there were certain areas of the yard that he was concentrated in. We made plans to meet the very next day.

When I arrived, Nick greeted me and immediately showed me around his yard and where he felt were the highest probability areas. He then excused himself and went back inside his residence and I got to work, starting with the first high probability area. The good news is not only was I able to locate the ring, I set a new personal record of less than 2 minutes doing so! Keep in mind that this record was set not only due to my detecting skill, but to Nick’s guidance and recollection of where he was when he first realized the ring was no longer on his finger. The ring was only about 1/2″ below the surface of the recently disrupted soil, but that was deep enough to hide it completely from sight. As a side note, this is a perfect example as to why I do NOT charge an hourly rate for my service! With that said, I’ve recovered rings in the past that have taken may hours to locate, with the extreme being 3 location returns over a week period with a total of about 10 hours of searching! As you can see, working on a reward type basis makes sense for both parties involved. I digress! The good news is the ring that Nick’s grandfather gave him is now safely back where it belongs!!

Diamond Ring Found Underwater by Rob Ellis and Ray Jones, Lake Anna, Virginia

  • from Fairfax (Virginia, United States)

Rob and Christina Smiles!

Christina asked my help to find her lost engagement ring. While staying at a rental house on Lake Anna, she was with her sister in waist deep water and thought she felt the ring slip off her finger. Everyone at the house searched for the ring before she called me.

Christina’s beautiful diamond ring

She obtained the property manager’s permission to search, so I loaded up my SCUBA gear and made the hour and 45-minute drive to the site. Christina walked into the waist-deep, cool water, demonstrating how she thought her ring came off her finger. I carefully searched the area using jack stays and my circular search device. After a thorough hunt, I asked Christine if her ring could have slipped off somewhere else. She showed me where she had jumped off the dock and swam over to the beach.  After 4 and 1/2 hours, I was cold, exhausted, and disappointed. But I was not ready to give up!

I explained to Christina that I would return. I obtained permission from the rental manager and was back in the water in 4 days. I invited my friend Ray Jones to join me. Ray and I often team up, especially for water searches. Ray had decided to search in the shallow water using my Equinox 800.

I had just set up my search pattern near the dock when I heard Ray exclaim, he found Christina’s ring. He had started his search straight from the beach to where Christina thought she lost the ring. As he was walking in about 12 inches of water, he started using the detector. Surprisingly he heard a signal in the correct target tone on the third swing of the coil!

Ray and I met a couple of the neighbors, and one gave up permission to search in the private community dock area. We found some change, fishing rods, and a $10 bill! It was another great day with my friend Ray!

Christina and I met so I could return her beautiful engagement ring. Metal detecting underwater is a big investment in time and resources. After our combined thirteen hours of driving, SCUBA gear maintenance, use of high-quality metal detectors, and five hours search time, it doesn’t seem worth it. But, when I gave Christina her ring, the look on her face was priceless!!
