Tyler reached out explaining that he lost his wedding band while enjoying some family time on the beach. Tyler had placed his ring in the compartment of his beach chair while apllying sunscreen. Later in the day another family member began “packing up” to head home from the beach and folded the chair causing the ring to fall into the sand. While walking back from the beach Tyler realized what had happened and the group returned to where they were sitting and began searching for the ring with no success. They had charter boat reservations BUT Tyler and I communicated before he left for his reservation and he was able to send me the coordinates to where they were sitting. Received a call from Amber. Amber explained that her husband lost his wedding ring while playing in the surf and getting “rolled” by a wave. Amber said she had someone else out to look for it and he could not locate the ring. After gathering details and checking tide and surf data I decided that Tuesday afternoons low tide would be a good time to try for the ring. Shortly after arriving at the beach I began a “meticulous” search grid from the wet sand down into the surf. About 45 minutes later I had the ring in my scoop. The waves were pretty rough and I myself got “washed” a few times but still managed a successful recovery. Another happy couple!
