Alex called and said that he had lost his platinum wedding ring earlier in the day playing volleyball at the beach. It was night now, but I wanted to assure him I would come out immediately and do a search.

I arrived, and we found each other. Alex then walked me over to the volleyball courts, and showed me where he believed the ring came off. I got ready, and then began my grid of the area. I made about 6 passes, and then heard a good signal through the head phones. I dug with my scoop, shook the sand out, and there was Alex’s ring. I gave it back to a very happy man.

David called me regarding the loss of a ring in a volleyball court at a park. His wife had been there with her child, and somehow lost her ring in the sand at the court. I was available to go, so he informed his wife, who would meet me there.

When I got to the park, I was able to find the volleyball court, and then David’s wife. We discussed the loss, and where in the court she felt it had come off. I began my search, and it wasn’t very long before I had her ring in my scoop. She was very happy to have it back again, and it made for a great day.

Scott called letting me know he had lost something very important to him. He was at a volleyball tournament, so I wanted to be sure I could do the search right away.

When I got there He told me that it was a pendant that had been in his family for over 60 years, so it had a great amount of sentimentality for him. He showed me the court, which I had to wait for the competition to end before I could search. I went over the court, but it wasn’t there. He showed me where he also walked after he left the court, and after finding many pieces of trash metal, I got a faint signal which turned out to be Scott’s pendant. He was very happy to have it back. Making people happy is what it is all about.

I received a call from Dinair who had lost her key at Redondo Beach. I let her know I could come right away to help her, and left shortly after.

I got to the beach, and found her. She showed me where she had been, and where she had walked, and I began my search. I began a grid to make sure I covered the area well, finding numerous bits of metal here and there. After about 15 minutes I had Dinair’s key in my scoop. She was happy to have them back so she could drive back home.

Jason called me about his lost ring. He had been working in his yard when he then noticed it was gone from his finger. We arranged a time for me to come out and do the search, and I was on my way.

When I got there Jason showed me the area of the loss, and it wasn’t large. There was also a pile of dirt that he believed the ring could be in. I began looking all around the area he showed me, and then began to look on the dirt pile. As I was swinging my coil over the dirt pile I got a good signal, looked down, and there it was right on top of the dirt. He was surprised it had made it over that far, but was very happy to have it back.

Bradley lost an anchor cross that had been given to him by his grandmother, in the sand at the beach. This was very sentimental to him, and I let him know I was available to come immediately to do a search.

When I arrived Bradley explained to me what he believed happened to cause the loss, and showed me the area. I began the search, and worked in a tight grid, finding a few pieces of trash metal. Then on one pass, I got a very strong signal, dug, and had this beautiful piece of jewelry in my scoop. I held it up for him wherein he became very emotional because of how much it meant to him. I was happy to make his day. It is very satisfying seeing people go from sad to happy in an instant.

Lew lost his wedding ring at the beach, and called for help. I was available, and let him know I would get there as quick as was possible. The ring had his wedding date engraved inside, so it meant a lot to him.

I got there and met Lew, and he took me over to the spot of the loss. He explained how the loss occurred, and I began my search. Finding trash metal items always excites the person I am searching for, yet ending in a let down when I show them a bottle cap or tin foil, but I try to calm them so they don’t lose hope, and keep plodding on in my search. It was dark already when Rahm called about his lost phone. He and some friends when running around in the sand when he noticed that his phone had come out of his coat pocket. They looked all around for it, but were unable to find it. I let him know I would leave as soon as possible to help him find it.

When I got to the beach, it was very dark, and it took me a while to find Rahm. When I finally did, he took me out to the area where they had been running, and explained what he did to possibly lose the phone. I then turned on my detector, swung about 3 times, and found his phone! He had put me almost right on top of it! It was a quick find, which made for a happy recovery.

*** Mark lost his wedding ring at Newport Beach,CA. He had put his ring in the cupholder of his beach chair while he wet swimming in the ocean. After spending several hours enjoying the sun with his family, he returned to their summer vacation cottage. That’s when he realized he had not put his ring back on his finger and it wasn’t in the beach chair.

Mark contacted me after finding me on a search for metal detecting service.

Most the time the ring falls out of the cupholder when the chair was picked up. Getting back to the general location is not always easy. (all sand looks the same after everyone leaves the beach) .. I usually ask the person who lost the item if they remember any holes or trash that they remember might be still,in the area.

This time the ring was recovered 50’to 60’ from the area where he had picked up the chair. Mark was very happy to get his wedding ring back where it belongs.

*** I was metal detecting at Huntington State Beach when I was approached by Cindy. She had dropped her silver ring in the sand and wanted to know if I could help her find it.

The loss happened just minutes before she saw me on the beach. These are the most successful types of searches. I was able to find Cindy’s ring minutes after scanning the area where she marked a circle in the sand.
