Lost engagement ring, Casselberry, Florida….Found and Returned!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Michael, a newlywed of two months, emailed me asking about theringfinders service and if I would be available anytime soon to help look for his wife’s lost diamond engagement ring! I assured Michael that if he was confident about the area where she lost it then there would be a very good chance of finding it. Often people think they’ve lost something in more than one location and that usually means allot more work trying to locate the missing item. And thankfully in this case there were only two locations that they felt very confident about.

Gaby, Michael’s dear wife, had put her ring in her pants pocket along with her ear bud cord and she remembered pulling the cord from her pocket a couple of times while they were out taking some photos around a small pond in their neighborhood. And as with many ponds and water ways here in Florida come the usual wildlife that make themselves at home. And in this case there are allot of ducks…and Gaby was sure one of them had picked it up and possibly ate it!

I met Michael and Gaby the next morning bright and early and followed them to the first location where Gaby had posed for some photos. And after a 20 minute search of all the possible areas that she had walked the previous day…NO RING! So we walked along the sidewalk to the other side of the lake where more photos were taken. They again explained where Michael stood with the camera and the two places where Gaby had posed. So I set out a few marker flags and again got to work grid searching the final area. All along while searching I would get various sounding signals and when looking for a lost ladies wedding ring it is best to double check all the small foil like signals to be sure it is not the ring. Plus when looking for a recent drop it is almost sure to be just down in the grass and not buried in the dirt. And sure enough just as I was finishing up the final corner of the search area I got a loud signal reading of « 44 » on my Garrett ATMax metal detector and showing it was down two inches. I checked the target with my Garrett pin pointer and there hiding under the grass was Gaby’s lost engagement ring! So I laid the pin pointer on the ground with the ring laying just off the end and motioned to Michael and Gaby to come over and look at what I had just found. As she picked up her precious ring I said a heart felt thank you to God for allowing me to find her lost treasure.

Maybe you’ve lost something recently and would like some help. Call, text or email me ASAP and I will do my very best to help you recover your lost item.

Lost Gold Ring Found In Yard In Schwartz Creek Michigan

A Mother’s Day Surprise!

With a 50 yr. wedding anniversary closing in and today being Mother’s day the pictured gentleman has often wondered where his wedding ring was lost 3 years ago. Over the years many thoughts crossed his mind, was it lost on vacation?, in the yard?, in the car that’s now sold?, a public place?, ect.
Researching metal detectors left him uncertain as to how to operate the machine, leading to more frustration. Reaching out for help I talked with him Saturday and we decided to meet today to search the yard for starters. We picked several areas to search based on his recollection of the routine during the time of year he remembered the ring vanishing, which was late summer/early autumn mowing grass and dumping leaves, ect.
Knowing the type, size and karat of the ring, I knew from past searches the number that I was looking for was approx. +14/+16 on my MXT. I also knew that it would not be a surface find laying flat but rather could be vertically oriented and 2″-3″ or more under the surface. Gridding very carefully and checking for signals in that meter number range we worked our way back into a part of the yard where grass/leaves were dumped then roto-tilled for a garden. So after 3 yrs. if the ring was here, it could be deep. But no luck. Thinking we had ran out of luck, He went into the house to get some warm drinks. I decided to grid search back in the other direction from where we came, the 6 sq. ft. area which I hadn’t searched I got a very narrow but solid signal and a +16 on the meter, 2″ depth, sweeping 90 deg. I got a bit wider signal with same depth. Cutting a plug around the signal I heard my steel digger meet another metal object! Prying gently upward out popped this very stunning white 14k gold ring with an awesome custom engraving that was oriented 45 deg. just under the grass root base! While I was waiting for him I took a few pics and when he arrived I pointed down and asked him if that metal object looked familiar. He leaned over, and reaching down pulled the shiny ring from the dirt, holding it up and smiling I said who is this happy man? Your not the person who I met at the door! Taking a few more pics and chatting, he was anticipating the wife returning home to present this surprise, and share the story of the recovery with her and family for years to come!

I woke up to an email today from a young lady who said she lost her grandmother’s ring that was gifted to her from her mother. I saw the email came in around 11:30 PM last night, I emailed her back at 6 AM asking if she could call me as soon as she got up. I know it’s very important to act quickly due to the fact it was lost as a local park.

I received a call from the young lady at 8:07 AM and we arrange to meet at the park after she did a search herself for the ring. Twenty minutes later she phoned me back to ask for my help, Beverley and I loaded the car with our detectors and headed out to the park in Vancouver about 40 minutes away. When we got there we met Chloe and she showed us the areas she believe the ring may have come off her finger, even though she found it to be quite odd as the ring fit tightly. We asked Chloe to take the cones and put out a grid for us to search in.

Beverley and I started at the far end of our grid and work towards each other, within a couple of minutes I got a nice loud signal so I bent down with my pin pointer and saw her gorgeous ring. Because of the coronavirus I have to figure out a way to surprise people on my video now because we are not allowed to get close to someone, it’s hard to get the true reactions of the find. I will work on this and make it better as time goes on, so thanks for your patience.

Chloe Beverley and myself were very happy to see the ring back where it belongs, her grandmother doesn’t even have to know that her granddaughter lost it. The best part of what we do is seeing the smiles it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old everyone’s ring has a beautiful story attached to it and we are so happy to be able to continue that story for Chloe.

Lost Ring Found in Burlington VT

I got an email yesterday from a woman who lost a ring a week ago. She and her boyfriend looked for it all week with no luck, and were about to go buy a detector to find it. The ring hadn’t come from an expensive jewelry store, but was special to her because her boyfriend had made it for her, and it is a very cool ring!

I went over and she showed me the search area. It included the backyard where they had planted clover over a large area and flower bulbs along a fence. She had also possibly lost it on a 100 yard sidewalk.

I started where the bulbs were, got lots of nail and scrap signals. This property had been lived and worked on for probably the last 200 years! Then we went down the sidewalk with no luck. Lastly, I figured the best thing to do was a grid search of the back lawn where they had just tilled and planted clover. Lots of signals!! On the third pass, I got a signal with numbers all over the scale, but dug it anyway. There it was! I got cheers from her and her boyfriend who were with me and cheers came out if the house windows, too! I didn’t realize there was such a big audience!

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Re-recovered Vienna, VA

  • from Fairfax (Virginia, United States)

March 30th, 2020. Matt again called to report he’s lost his ring. He was doing some habitual, unplanned weeding in the yard when he realized too late that he forgot to remove the ring. After searching for about 30 minutes I found the ring at the base of some liriope grass. It was barely visible in the dry mulch, but un-findable without a detector. Go ahead and enlarge the photo…you really can see it!

It’s Right There

I received an email early in the morning from Mischa. He reports that he lost his wedding ring the day before while adding new mulch to his flower beds. We made arrangements for me to search after work.

I met Mischa and asked him several questions. He showed me the search area. All of the flower beds are up against a chain-link fence. I started to search with the smallest coil I have.

I searched all of the beds with no luck. I moved to another detector to search his travel paths to see if it fell off out of the beds. No luck. Mischa was thanking me for looking. I told him I wasn’t done yet.

I went back to the beds, on my hands & knees, pulled all of the mulch away from the fence and searched with my pin-pointer. Next to the last bed, I found it. The chain-link fence was too big for my metal detector to find the smaller ring. He was so happy. We maintained social distancing, no hand shakes or bro hugs. The search took a little over an hour.

Lost Wedding Ring in West Chester PA Found By Dave Milsted During Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19)

April 25th, 2020 was going to be the most beautiful day of the week. So I had made arrangements to meet Mark at his parent’s house. This is where his wife lost her wedding ring a week ago playing field hockey in the backyard.

The area was beautiful, foggy, and a nice wet lawn, easier to track where I have been detecting, so I don’t miss anywhere. Mark wasn’t there yet, so I met his dad, Dennis. We did the whole social distancing thing.

He showed me a vast backyard, where they played field hockey last weekend. I asked if they were in any particular area, and he pointed to more then half of the yard. Oh boy, this could take a while. I went back to my SUV and got my detector.

I just started to search, and I heard someone say hello, I had headphones on, so I began to look around. It was Mark. I asked him a few questions. He was able to narrow the search area down a little. I was going to start my search at the swing set.

I started to search, and I got a good signal. I couldn’t see anything because the grass was so thick. I used my pin-pointer and spread open the grass, and there was a beautiful white gold wedding ring with several small diamonds. Less than 2 minutes of searching, it was in my hand. I needed that. I took a few pictures.

Mark was up on the deck. I started walking towards him and asked is there any area that his wife was in the most. I said that I didn’t want to be here all day. I said I had another question that might help. Does her ring look like this? And I opened my hand. The look on his face was priceless. No hugs or handshakes. Just smiles.

I asked for his wife’s cell number and sent her a few pictures. Within 30 seconds she called Mark in total disbelief. She worried all night that I wasn’t going to find it. I had told Mark when he contacted me earlier in the week that if it were in the yard, I would find it. He believed me until his wife changed his mind overnight. I love my hobby!!

Joy,happiness and a returned diamond engagement ring during Covid chaos in Media, PA

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Kelsey found me in the online directory and contacted me to see if I could help her locate her beautiful white gold and diamond engagement ring. Her and her fiancee, Sasha’s, wedding plans are on hold due to this Covid chaos but they are so happy and looking forward to their future together. Understandably, Kelsey was quite upset about her lost ring. She had been beating a dirty mat over the edge of a 2nd story deck of her home when she felt her ring slip off and fall into a large flower bed underneath the deck. She spent several hours digging through the leaves and dirt before contacting me. When I arrived she walked through exactly what  happened by re-enacting the incident. The area where lost was a small area but overgrown with healthy rhododendron bushes and lots of leaves. As I always do…I demonstrated how my equipment works to both of them so they could have confidence in my competence and provide some optimism. I spent about 10-15 minutes working the area right below where she was standing on the deck as they stood behind me(social distance!) watching. After a few false signals due to trash and nails I got a good « gold » signal on my machine….my pinpointer zeroed right in on the lost ring. I live for the rush of watching the overwhelming joy and relief on the face of the people I am able to return rings to. Kelsey was no exception…I was so happy to reunite her with her ring and bring joy to her in this time of stress, anxiety and uncertainty.

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring in a Laguna Beach House.. Found in Sofa

Call… Stan The Metal Detector Man to help you find your sentimental keepsake… Available Now ..  949-500-2136

***  Darin’s fiancé lost her diamond engagement ring in their Laguna Beach house. She last remembered setting it on the table next to her laptop computer while she types.  Darin made the call asking for assistance. I said, I would need to be able to talk to his fiancé when I get to the home.

We met shortly after the phone call. Calle showed me the table where she uses her computer. She was sure that the ring was on the table the last she remembered. I asked if it was loose fitting and if she had left the house. Also, when did she realize the ring was missing.

Often rings left on tables, counters, etc. get knocked off into drawers, shoes, anything that maybe on the floor. Sometimes that box, piece of clothing, etc. may get moved to another location or kicked under the stove / refrigerator. Calle did say the ring was loose needing to be resized. That could mean it could have fallen of when putting things in boxes, drawers or trash.

She was in the car when realizing that her ring was missing. We eliminated the car then went through the trash. Even taking a few seconds to passing my pinpointer over their dog’s stomach. Most the in house search was done using the handheld pinpointer detector. There were no places for the ring to hide near the computer table.  We finally located the beautiful diamond engagement ring in a fold of the sofa that drapes down the front of the sofa.

It had been torn loose by the dog and Calle often tucks it in place. She was embarrassed that she hadn’t remembered that action.

I was glad for the ring was found because the next place to search was a two block area street search where Calle had walked the dog. Darin and Calle were very happy and surprised to have the original symbol of a special day in their lives back where it belongs. It was an honor and a pleasure to help them.

Lost Ring Perdido Beach – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Well this is a ring return I won’t ever forget. Even Covid-19 couldn’t stop this nice lady from getting her ring back on her finger. Two days ago, Tyler and her family were in Perdido Beach and on the way back to the car she had her engagement ring on her child’s stroller. As you can imagine, she hit a bumpy patch and by the time she got back to the car her ring was gone on the beach. Yesterday she posted all over social media in hopes that someone may have found it. This is usually a really bad idea because with that much info, someone that is not interested in returning it can find it and move along. Luckily a few people recommended my services (thank you!) and she sent me an email. She didn’t provide any information and didn’t even give me a phone number. Even though I sent her a few emails back she didn’t reply or call. This is totally normal because she was so shocked, I know she was probably trying to make sure she didn’t get scammed with promises of help and she was overwhelmed with the prospect of losing her ring forever. I felt bad for her and I knew that the longer all of the information stayed on the internet, the higher the chance she would never get it back. My friend Charlie and I had the chance to get out today and I talked him into heading to the area. Once there we were very lucky to find it pretty quickly based on our experience with where she may have lost it. I finally posted on Explore Pensacola and she called within the hour. I invited Tyler and her husband to my home and did my first ever social distancing ring return. 😃. I think they were both shocked that a total stranger would just go get her ring for her. I’m very glad to be able to do it. Thanks for the assist today Charlie!  God bless you all!!! 💍
