It was dark already when I received the call from Haithum about a lost ring in the sand at the beach. Knowing that beach, and how it is cleaned all the time with machines, I let him know I would come right away.

He let me know that there was a run going on at the moment, and I thought it should not be a big deal until got to the area, and found it was a Nike After Dark run with thousands of ladies participating. Because of the limited beach parking, and sheer number of the crowds, I ended up having to park about 3 miles from the area of the loss. I got there a bit later than I thought I would because it was up and down coastal hills all the way to the beach, and found Haithum and his fiance Kalyn. They showed me where she had been sitting and what she did to lose the ring as well as where they believed it went. I began my search, and covered all that area, and then began to search out of the box. I found the ring behind where she thought it would have been. Funny how those rings never go where you think they went. The two had only been engaged for one month, so getting that beautiful ring back on Kalyn’s finger was special,

Avenal contacted me about his lost wedding ring. He and friends were playing volleyball, when in the process of hitting the ball, his ring came off and disappeared in the sand. After much looking he got with me, and I let him know I would be coming to help soon.

I got to the beach, and Avenal showed me the area, and what he had done when the ring came off. I began my search, looking in the most obvious area, but I needed to expand out in order to find it. Hunter contacted me after he lost his ring in a volleyball court at the beach. I was able to go when he called, so I left to help him right away.

Hunter met me as soon as I got to the beach, and took me over to the court to explain the loss to me. We went over what happened, and where he believed the ended up. It took just a few minutes to recover his ring, and get it back to him. He was glad and relieved to have it back.

Conner contacted me about a ring lost in the sand at the beach. His fiance lost her engagement ring in a volleyball court they were playing in, and they needed help. I left right away to help them.

Emile called about The Ringfinders service wondering if I would be able to help him find a gold dog tag that was originally his mothers, so it was very sentimental to him. I was able to do the search, so I left right away.

When I got there Emile led me over to the area he believed the tag came off, and explained what happened to cause the loss. I began my grid, and made pass after pass while finding a bit of trash metal. Then there was a good strong signal, and I dug, bringing up this nice looking dog tag. Emile was very happy to have it back, because it meant so much to him.

I got a text from Milissa at about 11:00 PM stating she had been at the beach earlier in the day and lost her bracelet. I knew this beach is machine cleaned daily, so getting there for the search was important. She was not going to be able to meet me there to show me where to look, so I needed pictures, and coordinates to know where the loss occurred. I received from her what I believed was enough information, and left for the search.

It was around 12:00 AM when I arrived at the beach. There was no where to park, so I had to find a side street, but everything was « No Parking Any Time ». I won’t tell where I parked, but I did find a place where I believed my car would not be bothered, and had to walk about a mile to the beach. When I got to the spot I commenced my search, and after almost 2 hours I found her bracelet. I sent Milissa a picture to be sure. She was still awake to confirm that what I found was hers. We arranged the next day to meet so I could return her bracelet. When she got it back, she told me that it had been her Great Grandmother’s bracelet, so it had great sentimental value.

Alex called and said that he had lost his platinum wedding ring earlier in the day playing volleyball at the beach. It was night now, but I wanted to assure him I would come out immediately and do a search.

I arrived, and we found each other. Alex then walked me over to the volleyball courts, and showed me where he believed the ring came off. I got ready, and then began my grid of the area. I made about 6 passes, and then heard a good signal through the head phones. I dug with my scoop, shook the sand out, and there was Alex’s ring. I gave it back to a very happy man.

Scott called letting me know he had lost something very important to him. He was at a volleyball tournament, so I wanted to be sure I could do the search right away.

When I got there He told me that it was a pendant that had been in his family for over 60 years, so it had a great amount of sentimentality for him. He showed me the court, which I had to wait for the competition to end before I could search. I went over the court, but it wasn’t there. He showed me where he also walked after he left the court, and after finding many pieces of trash metal, I got a faint signal which turned out to be Scott’s pendant. He was very happy to have it back. Making people happy is what it is all about.

I received a call from Dinair who had lost her key at Redondo Beach. I let her know I could come right away to help her, and left shortly after.

I got to the beach, and found her. She showed me where she had been, and where she had walked, and I began my search. I began a grid to make sure I covered the area well, finding numerous bits of metal here and there. After about 15 minutes I had Dinair’s key in my scoop. She was happy to have them back so she could drive back home.

Ellana lost her wedding ring while working in her back yard. It fell off her finger and fell between the slats of wood making up her deck into the yard below. I was available, and left right away to help her.

When I got there Ellana led me to the back yard deck which was out over a hillside of grass and other cover. I began by crawling up under the deck before working the hillside. Fortunately I was able to find the ring under the deck, thankful it hadn’t rolled down the hill. I brought it back up to Ellana, and she expressed a lot of joy to have it back. She told me she had worn her wedding ring  for over 60 years, so the sentimental value was priceless.
