I got a text from Milissa at about 11:00 PM stating she had been at the beach earlier in the day and lost her bracelet. I knew this beach is machine cleaned daily, so getting there for the search was important. She was not going to be able to meet me there to show me where to look, so I needed pictures, and coordinates to know where the loss occurred. I received from her what I believed was enough information, and left for the search.

It was around 12:00 AM when I arrived at the beach. There was no where to park, so I had to find a side street, but everything was « No Parking Any Time ». I won’t tell where I parked, but I did find a place where I believed my car would not be bothered, and had to walk about a mile to the beach. When I got to the spot I commenced my search, and after almost 2 hours I found her bracelet. I sent Milissa a picture to be sure. She was still awake to confirm that what I found was hers. We arranged the next day to meet so I could return her bracelet. When she got it back, she told me that it had been her Great Grandmother’s bracelet, so it had great sentimental value.

Aron called after he lost his wedding ring at the beach. I was ready to go, and left right away to help him find it.

When I got there, it took a few minutes to find the area where he was. Aron had to leave before I arrived per a business schedule, but his friends were still there to show me where to search. It took only a few minutes to find the ring, but had to include my picture with it because his friends got it back to him.

I received a call from Lucas letting me know that he had lost a pendant in a sand volleyball court at Hermosa Beach, and wondered if I would be able to help him. I let him know I would leave immediately, and come to search for his pendant.

When I arrived we found each other, and Lucas showed me the area he believed the pendant was lost. I got the equipment together, and within minutes, I was able to hand it back to him. He told me how it had been given him by a close relative, so it meant a lot to get it back. I was happy to have made his day.

Brandon called having lost his car key while working out at the beach. It was a rather large key, but somehow was forced beneath the sand,, where he was unable to find it. I was available, and left to meet him there right away.

When I got there, I could see where he had been searching, and began my search in that area. It took only about 5 minutes before I was able to hand Brandon his key back for which he was very thankful.

Scott called letting me know he had lost something very important to him. He was at a volleyball tournament, so I wanted to be sure I could do the search right away.

When I got there He told me that it was a pendant that had been in his family for over 60 years, so it had a great amount of sentimentality for him. He showed me the court, which I had to wait for the competition to end before I could search. I went over the court, but it wasn’t there. He showed me where he also walked after he left the court, and after finding many pieces of trash metal, I got a faint signal which turned out to be Scott’s pendant. He was very happy to have it back. Making people happy is what it is all about.

Ellana lost her wedding ring while working in her back yard. It fell off her finger and fell between the slats of wood making up her deck into the yard below. I was available, and left right away to help her.

When I got there Ellana led me to the back yard deck which was out over a hillside of grass and other cover. I began by crawling up under the deck before working the hillside. Fortunately I was able to find the ring under the deck, thankful it hadn’t rolled down the hill. I brought it back up to Ellana, and she expressed a lot of joy to have it back. She told me she had worn her wedding ring for over 60 years, so the sentimental value was priceless.

I got a text yesterday afternoon from Denise. She was in a bit of a panic because she had just lost her wedding ring of 40 years at Mondos while she was swimming in the ocean. She was able to give me the exact time of 1:20pm because in her words, she just felt it slip right off in about 6 feet of water while she was swimming. The tide at that time was around a 2.5 so I checked the tides and I had one chance to recover the ring if I could get far enough out in the water and that was at 3:45am the next day.

There were several things stacked against me. She didn’t know exactly how far out she was, there was absolutely no moonlight whatsoever and the beach at Mondo’s has been inundated with seaweed both in the water and on the sand so this was going to be a miracle. So I prayed and got to Mondo’s at 3:30 this morning. With the tide being a -1.3 I was able to get pretty far out but unfortunately not far enough as the ring was further out than I had hoped. I slowly started working my way out and when I was nearly waste deep I finally got a target that made sense. In between waves I positioned my scoop behind my Minelab manticore and dug. Instead of getting it though the waves had caused me to push the target away rather than in my scoop. I steadied myself again, waited for the wave to pass and scooped and this time I had Denise’s ring! Dave The RingFinder with another ring recovery this time in the ocean!

Yesterday afternoon I got call from Ross explaining that his wife had lost her wedding ring at the beach in the Pierpont area of Ventura. She had been brushing off some sand and in doing so her ring flew off to an unknown stretch of sand. I was out of town at that moment so I told Ross I would get out there at sun up Monday morning and recover the ring for them. He sent me a pin of the general location and I assured him that if it was there I would find the ring.

As stated I got out there just before the sunrise and started working the area gridding and expanding as I went. Jen met me out there and we determined that I should move a bit south and grid there. After several passes we expanded the zone and then on the next pass I got a sweet tone on my Minelab Manticore that told me a ring recovery was imminent and sure enough in the scoop was Jen’s wedding ring!
