Lost Rose Gold Men’s Ring Found in Fenton Michigan

Rockin’ The Pink….

….is what Nick chose to do not so much for the fashion trend or statement but to match his wife’s rose gold wedding ring. Alloying copper to the gold and silver gives the pink gold, rose gold and red gold rings just enough « pop » to be bold. Pictures don’t do them justice, you have to see them with your own eyes to experience the fire and brilliance they reflect. Just as there are many color variations with rose flowers, there are more than 10 color choices available for gold rings. While doing some yard work just before he was gonna stop to smell the roses he realized his ring was missing. Turning on and go with my MXT metal detector had me searching quickly on the small piece of property. No signals came thru until I got near the rose bushes near the patio then the MXT gave out a great tone. Reaching down into the new mulch revealed his rose gold ring! I waved for him to come over and see where it was. He reached down and lifted it into the air with excitement admiring the soft, fiery color tones in the sunlight. Enjoying the bliss of the recovery, the beauty of the roses will eventually fade, but Nick’s rosie was made to last forever.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found In Canton Michigan

A Newlywed’s Nightmare…..

….wasn’t happening because Travis and his wife of 3 weeks marriage was breaking down, but rather because as they were playing their favorite sport of soccer yesterday evening his ring fell off. The short practice session led into the darkness as they traded being goalie and kicker. As they were getting into their vehicle Travis noticed his ring missing and no telling where it could be. On site I turned my MXT metal detector’s lighted meter on and started to search the path they walked to no avail, then started to grid search the soccer field area. A few short passes of scanning I got a nice signal where the ring should be on the detector meter. Pinpointing it at 0 depth on the metal detector meter confirmed it….. as I reached into the grass there was his ring! The couple was thrilled at scoring big time with the recovery and can now relax with the excitement to move forward in their marriage goals.

Lost Property Irons, Property Markers, Property Pins Found in Rochester Hills Michigan

The Ulti-Mutt Experience….

…. Is what Sam the dog was looking to have. As he explored the yard, the chasing of squirrels and opossums off the property started to get old, he was occasionally caught red pawed where the grass was greener. Leashing him to the yard limits didn’t solve the problem as his ruff neighbor dog pals remained at a distance howling with laughter tempting him to cross the boundry, leading to many bark-b-ques. Deciding that this was not just another day at the paw-ffice and trying to stay paw-sitive, Sam’s masters decided to make the decision to put up a fence. But first they needed the property irons located. Upon arrival, even tho I’m not much of a dog-tor, I was greeted excitedly by Sam and patting him on the head followed by a wagging tail assured I had permission to enter his territory, and all would be ok. Scanning the property ground with my Tesoro Sidewinder metal detector gave quick results as the property irons were revealed. Sam’s owners were thrilled that soon they could paws and relax a bit while he safely roamed the whole yard. Giving him a treat and shaking his paw I asked if this was a promise to behave going forward….as I feel he has great pet-tential ….

….Well, anything is paw-sible!

I was contacted by Mike who told me his wife had lost her ring at a friend’s house while shaking water off of her hands. She had received the ring just two days before for her birthday, so the loss was heartbreaking. We arranged a time to do the search when they had access to the house again.

I got to the house early, and it turned out to be a really special looking home, somewhat castle-like, so I waited for Mike to come. When Mike showed up his wife Nancy was with him, and they took me to the back yard where they showed me the area of the loss. It was a very steep hillside covered with ground cover and bushes. I asked how the loss occurred, and Nancy showed me that she had shaken her hands over the wall that separated the walkway from the hillside, and made a flicking movement away from her body. As I began my search Mike explained that the house was designed and owned by Walt Disney back in the 1930’s.

I started searching near the top, but began to concentrate on the middle and lower part of the hillside because of the motion she had made when she showed me at first. I went up and down (sliding a lot as well) going over the hillside with a larger coil to penetrate the ground cover. I also used my pin pointer in and around the bushes to insure that I did not miss anything. After about an hour of searching Mike and Nancy told me they had to leave because of a previously scheduled appointment, but introduced me to the house’s owner who said that I could remain and continue my search. Before they left I asked if Nancy could show me again how she shook off her hands, but this time wetting them first so I could see exactly how it happened. To my surprise the shaking when wet was more of a straight down action, so I decided to concentrate on the upper part of the hillside. She had tried to explain what the ring looked like so I was looking for what I thought was a medium sized woman’s ring. I continued my search going over the upper part of the hill with a « fine toothed comb ». The dirt was somewhat soft also, but I was expecting a surface recovery, or one that wasn’t too deep. I got to this one bush about 30 minutes later, and using my pin pointer I began poking around and into the dirt. Then right next to the stalk of the bush I got a slight signal, so I began to dig, and right next to the stalk down about 1 1/2 inches in the dirt was the ring. Here I was at Walt Disney’s house, and with all the magic what did I see; a very large heavy princess’s gold and emerald ring. The ring had a faceted crystal bubble filled with small jeweled emeralds, something a princess would wear. Because of the weight of the ring it penetrated the dirt and completely disappeared almost 2 inches into the dirt. We later arranged for me to deliver the ring to Nancy at their home, and was able to give the princess back her ring. What a special day for sure.

Wedding ring lost while gardening, found in Port Orchard!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

I was contacted by Andrew in regards to his wife Amanda’s wedding ring she lost while gardening at their rental property. They needed to find it promptly since the new tenants were due to move in soon, so as soon as I had some time to get out there… the hunt was on!

After a little confusion over what the ring was actually made of, and around an hour of searching… It was found! A lot of people lose their rings while gardening, often when it falls off in the gloves when taking them off and then it slips out of the gloves when they take a break or go in the house or garage. Also, remember if you lose a ring in this fashion, DON’T put out the yard waste for collection! It could be in the bin or the bag, you never now!

I was especially happy to find this ring since Andrew and Amanda are personal friends of mine, (CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING!) and hopefully now they will always associate me with this chapter in their lives and refer me to anyone in a similar bind!

Lost Bible Verse Inscribed Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began as I was wrapping up a ring hunt for a child’s ring when I was approached by a gentleman who was acting as an interpreter for a Ukrainian lady as both were standing in the shallow part of the lagoon. As the story goes she was wondering if I could hunt for her son-in-law’s Bible Verse Inscribed Wedding Ring that was lost while he was playing volleyball in the water several days ago. She wasn’t sure of the type of metal. But as she described the ring through the interpreter I realized I had found the ring the past weekend and it was at home. I told the interpreter to have her son-in-law Nick come see me on the beach and recite the verse so I would be sure. About 10 minutes later Nick arrived and was in shock he immediately recited the exact verse and I told him I’d come back the next morning to return it to him. Nick currently lives in Sacramento California and was on vacation with family. As you can see he has his ring back and I’m so happy his mother-in-law reached out to me. It helps to carry your detector proudly when walking the beach. Aloha to Nick and his Family!

I received a text from Chloe for help in finding her husband’s lost wedding ring. They had been at the beach 2 days prior when it was lost. I know the beach is cleaned with machines daily, and asked some pertinent questions to determine the possibility of a recovery. After her answers to my questions about the area of the loss, I told them it would definitely be worth a try, but that it might not be there for a variety of reasons, but to keep the hope alive. We decided to meet at the lowest tide of the day.

I got there before they did, and waited for them to show me where the loss occurred. When they arrived I met Chloe’s husband Matt, and they took me down to the area of where they believed they had lost the ring. Matt was pretty sure of the spot, and drew a line in the sand to show me where he believed it was lost. I began my search just to the north of his line and ran a line down to the water, and then began to work the grid back up the slope. There were no signals at all, and then a solid signal in the headphones. I dug, shook my scoop, and there in bottom was Matt’s ring, after 2 days in a prime location; Awesome! They were so happy to have it back when Chloe told me the story about the ring, that it was Matt’s Grandfather’s, and then his Dad’s. His Dad gifted it to him when Matt and Chloe got married not even a year earlier. What a special find!

Lost ring in Sevierville, TN

  • from Knoxville (Tennessee, United States)

Jimmy and his wife Lindsay were visiting from out of state and rented a cabin in Sevierville for their weekend getaway. Lindsay had set her ring down by the hot tub when their little 3 year old grabbed the ring and darted toward the field with grass 3 feet tall. Jimmy went straight out and bought a metal detector and spent hours looking but didn’t have any luck. Unfortunately they had to leave and headed home, at the same time I was on my vacation in VA. When I got the call I had Jimmy take as many photos as possible so i could reference it later on. I made a quick pit stop on my way home from our 8 hour drive but didnt have any luck. I came back the next day and exanded my search area and found it. I contacted Jimmy for a mailing address and sent it overnight, he and his wife were ecstatic. Its such a great feeling to help someone in their time of need.

Smartwatch found underwater, Pleasants Landing Marina, Lake Anna, VA

  • from Fairfax (Virginia, United States)

November 9th: Found and returned a Samsung smartwatch lost in October.

I am expert metal detectorist with the knowledge, skill, and experience to recover your lost items on land and underwater. Please text or call as soon as possible: (703)-598-1435

It was a warm October 21st, so I decided to do some underwater detecting at Pleasant’s Landing on Lake Anna, Virginia.

Pleasants landing serves as a park and a marina. Shaped like Florida with over 2,600 feet of Lake Frontage, there is lots of room for all lake activities. Pleasants Landing is one of two public beaches on Lake Anna with the other being at Lake Anna State Park.

Upon arrival, I met Mike and Esmond and asked if I could do some shallow diving. They gave me permission and pointed out that it was good timing due to less boat traffic around the docks. Just off the beach, I found modern coins, sunglasses, and fishing weights. I found nothing of value, but it’s still a fun way to keep up my skills.

Before my second tank, I met and spoke with the marina service manager, Vincent. He told me there were a couple of boat gas caps right off the fueling dock. I did a quick exploration around the dock area and picked up some fishing rods, sunglasses, two gas caps, and a large watch. After the dive, I showed the staff my finds and gave Vincent the gas caps to be reused if at all possible. It wasn’t until I got home and washed the layer of muck off the watch that I discovered a Samsung smartwatch.

Unfortunately, the battery had run out and I had no way to trace the owner. I took me a while, but I finally figured out how to use reverse wireless charging with my phone to charge the watch. After a few phone calls, I was able to contact Joey, the owner of the watch. He couldn’t believe someone found his watch and had given up on ever seeing it again. We were able to meet up at Pleasant’s Landing where I was able to return the watch.

Esmond, Joey, and Rob
