Mrs Jocelyn was enjoying a beautiful day at Wekiva Falls and spent most of the day floating in the cool water while her kids and grandson played in the deeper waters of the spring where the slide was located. Towards the end of their swim Jocelyn needed some help getting out of her tube and up the bank and she noticed her diamond rings were missing from her finger. She immediately called her family to help look for her rings in the shallow water but it was nowhere to be found and that is when they called me. Jocelyn wrote, »While spending time with family in Sorrento at Wekiva Falls RV Resort, Florida I lost the wedding ring set that has been in my family for generations! I gave Mike McInroe a call! I found him on a Google search through Theringfinders and he said he wanted to come out that night instead of waiting until morning. I was comforted by Mike’s smile as soon as I met him! We showed him the area we were in and Praise God, within 10 minutes of searching he found my lost ring set! Mike was so kind and sweet. If I could give him an infinite amount of stars it wouldn’t be enough! I just can’t thank him enough! »

It was truly an honor to help Mrs Jocelyn and her family!

Alexa lost her engagement ring while on the volleyball court a few days ago. I met her in Galloway, NJ and she gave me the details of where the ring might have been lost. Lost Diamond in grass, Orlando, Florida…..Found with metal detector!

In Tina’s own words, she says, »Saturday, March 11th I brought the dog out to do his business. He was taking his sweet time and as I was waiting for him I started fidgeting with my diamond ring, as I often do! With the first twirl around my finger I felt the diamond pop off of my ring. I was sure it just dropped straight down into the grass. I hurried the dog back inside and then returned to where I was standing so I could get a better look at the ground. It was no where to be found! I then woke up my husband and my son and they both rushed outside to help me look for my lost diamond. We even had a couple of our neighbors join in the hunt as well. After approximately 5 hours we decided to borrow a friend’s metal detector and we dug up a good section of our yard, but we had NO LUCK! We then waited until it got dark and went back out with a couple of strong flash lights to see if we could catch a glimmer of the diamond sparkling in the light but even that failed! It made it more difficult since it was just the diamond, with the prongs still attached and not the whole ring. So after exhausting all the suggestions we could think of I tried the internet and Googled « How to find a diamond in the grass »! Then I came across theringfinders.com! There were a couple of Ring finder members in the Orlando area so I went with the one who had the most successful recoveries! I called Mike McInroe shortly after 12 noon and he was able to come by our house around 4:30pm that same day! He thoroughly searched the immediate area and after two hours my husband and I were starting to give up hope. And then all of a sudden Mike came over to me with my diamond in his hand!!! We were so so very thankful! It was truly a blessing that I found him on line and that he was able to find my precious diamond. We couldn’t thank him enough! »

Gold Ring Lost in Garden at Taupo Bay for nearly a Year – Found!

  • from Paihia (New Zealand)

Billys wife sent me a message asking if I would be able to find a lost ring in their garden at Taupo Bay in Northland, New Zealand.
« Certainly ».
Billy had lost his gold ring around 8 months earlier and repeated visual searches had been unsuccessful.

I arrived at the property and Billy described where he thought he had lost his very sentimental gold and ruby ring.
Whilst he didn’t recall losing the ring which was apparently very loose on the finger, he thought it was when he had been sitting on the lawn idly pulling at grass and weeds.

The indicated area was small and very quickly cleared, albeit with no ring found.

They’re very rarely where they are supposed to be, and this is where the experience, discipline and tenacity of a dedicated ring finder come into play.

I started asking specific questions to build alternative scenarios with potential to lose a ring, and based on the answers given focused on several other areas.
These yielded nothing other than a few coins, lots of mown bits of foil – and a long lost key to their front door!

It was now apparent that the ring could potentially be anywhere on the property, so I settled in for a long, systematic and thorough search which would eventually cover nearly every foot of the 3,000 square yard property.
Just over 2,000 yards later, I was almost at the point of switching to the tiny coil to get up close and personal with the shrubs and house surrounds, when a « Dig Me! » target passed under the coil just off the edge of a mown area.

About as far as it could have been from the originally indicated area and still be on the property, a beautiful gold ring separated itself from the roots and soil as I lifted the cut plug out of the ground.

The ring is now safe and destined for a visit to the jeweler for a good clean – and resizing so it doesn’t slip off again.

Lost Ring Pensacola – FOUND 5 months later!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

I must admit that I assumed my first return during Spring Break this year would be someone out enjoying this nice weather. In reality, George lost his ring in his backyard 5 months ago. Like a lot of people, George had a pretty good idea where it was so he decided to go buy a metal detector and see if he could find it himself. When he finally gave me a call he remarked about how much iron there was in the ground and how hard it was to operate. George asked me to come out and take a look for him. George was right that it was a tough area but luckily I have some of the best machines in the world and I’ve been using them a long time. George pointed me to the area and I began my search. I did the part George had pointed out with a few coils and realized that the ring wasn’t there. I told George that I was going to expand my search and I didn’t make it too far before I heard a nice gold tone in my headphones and headed over to a thrilled George and his wife Michelle. Thank you both for trusting me to come find your ring. 👍

LOST SENTIMENTAL WEDDING RING in CHARLOTTE, NC……. FOUND!!

  • from Fayetteville (North Carolina, United States)

“BREAK OUT THE TISSUES FOR THIS ONE!”

Got a call Saturday, from the ring finders page, while up in WV. A newly wed, down in Charolette, NC had lost his wedding ring while aerating his lawn and putting down straw in his backyard. It had been missing since Wednesday of last week. We agreed that after I got off work at 2 on Monday, I would drive down to attempt to find it.

2:00 pm today, I jump in the truck and start the 2.5 hour trip. I get there just before 5 PM and start right away.

30 mins later I get a good on top, but under the straw hit! I look down and I can see GOLD!!!

The story gets better or a little more “tug at your heart strings” sentimental. You might be asking yourself, “WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE MORE SENTIMENTAL THAN A WEDDING RING?” How about his dad’s wedding ring that was passed down by his mom to use for his wedding after he passed away about 2 yrs ago.

Man I love to help find and reunite lost items for folks!!! I love the drive, hunt, finding them, then seeing that smile on their face again! Only to find out more to the story many times, just like this one!!

Lost ring in leaves found!

Dana sent me an email regarding Todd’s lost wedding band. Todd had to secure a fence near the back of his yard in Red Bank, New Jersey because one of his dogs is a successful escape artist. Unfortunately, the ring came off in the process, but he had an idea on the direction it might be, and that’s where I started to search. The wedding band was found shortly after, buried under a thick pile of leaves.

Bill gave me a call about his wife Amy’s rings that were lost in Brigantine, NJ. The couple was sitting on a blanket watching their son take surfing lessons when Amy placed a sentimental silver ring that was custom-made by her son and her wedding band on the blanket. She forgot her rings were there when she pulled up the blanket and shook it out. I met them later in the afternoon and was able to find both rings after a short grid-search.

Toleen lost her wedding set in Ocean City, NJ yesterday while spending the day with her family on the beach.  The rings were placed in the pocket of the beach chair and fell in the sand when she folded it up. Her daughter, Alexa, searched and found my Ring Finders South Jersey page when the family realized the rings were lost. While getting some preliminary information before searching, I asked if anyone took any pictures when they sitting on the beach. Her daughter, Liana, had a TikTok video with houses in the background that helped give an approximate location. After roughly 35 minutes of gridding the area, the rings were found! Now Toleen and her family can enjoy the rest of their vacation in Ocean City, NJ.
