Lost Wedding Ring in the Gulf, Orange Beach-FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Doug and Kristen have been married for 27 years. They have raised a family together and been through good times and bad. One of the tough times is watching Doug battle cancer. Thank goodness he is currently stable and they were able to get away to Orange Beach for a vacation. One constant these 27 years has been Doug’s gold wedding band on his hand. That is until this week when he was throwing football with his son in the Gulf of Mexico and it went flying. They tried searching all around for the rest of the day and they even used a mask and snorkel since they knew roughly where it had landed. Unfortunately the ring had already buried deep in the sand and they were unable to find it. The next morning Kristen went online and luckily was able to find me through the Ringfinders and a referral or two from some very thoughtful people. Doug called and after just a few minutes I knew we had to find that ring!  I made plans to come that afternoon since I already had work scheduled for the day but I assured them that the ring would still be there when I got there. When I got to their condo I spoke with the ladies in the front office and they were kind enough to give me a parking pass. I grabbed my gear and headed down to the beach and met Doug and Kristen and their family. Doug immediately walked me out in the water where he thought he had been standing the day before. It was just less than waist deep and he explained how the ring had come off when he went for a football. I asked him if it went deeper or shallower and as he re-enacted the scene I got him to point exactly where he thought it might be. Doug wished me luck as he walked back to his family to sit and watch and I turned on my machine and got the settings tweaked for the saltwater. I started my search and took one swing to the right, one swing to the left and a small step forward. As I was swinging the coil back to the right I immediately heard a beautiful gold tone. I took a really deep scoop since I didn’t want to nick it. They had searched for over a day and it was already about 5” deep. On the first try I looked in the scoop and there was the ring that had been with Doug through so many memories. I indicated that I had it and started walking in. Nobody really reacted and Kristen told me later that they thought I was joking that I had found it so quickly. 😃 When reality hit they all got so excited and justifiably a little shaken up. I’m so glad that I could be part of the continuation of your story. Doug and Kristen, I wish you health and happiness for many, many more years. God Bless!

January 2022 Andy reached out to me asking for assistance in searching his home for his fiancé’s lost engagement ring. He explained that a few weeks prior his fiancé had taken her engagement ring off in the front room during dinner. Later that evening when she was getting ready for bed she realized her ring was not on her finger and remembered having taken it off during dinner. No problem she thought, I’ll get it in the morning. Well morning came and the ring was not on the table where she thought she had left it. Of course a full on search through the house was performed by the couple but unfortunately no diamond engagement ring was found. With disappointment they made their way back to the Shane Co. jewelers to consider their options. Well one of the options they had no idea even existed was shared with them by one of the amazing jewelers. The lady told them there was a local guy the SeattleRingHunter that had found one of their previous clients rings lost in a home and that they should give him a call.

After our phone conversation Andy was setup with some additional search tips and an in house search scheduled a few days later.

After arriving at Andy’s home it was apparent that this was a small space but very warm and tidy. Never be deceived rings are small and can find some of the most interesting hiding places.

Come along with us to see this search in progress and its exciting conclusion. We are happy the very same ring Andy proposed to his lovely fiancé with was recovered and will be with them on their up and coming wedding day.

Lost Platinum ring in back yard

  • from Knoxville (Tennessee, United States)

The other day I was contacted by Preston who lost his platinum wedding ring in his back yard 5 days ago while playing with his kids. When he realized it was gone and he went out and purchased a metal detector but was unable to find it. While searching the internet he came across the ring finders website and texted me for some assistance. I came out the very next day and searched for about two hours before I came across an 8 and 9 signal on the equinox 800. Surprisingly it was about 80% buried in the dirt. Im sure that was because we have had substantial rain fall in the past few weeks. Preston and his wife are incredibly happy I recovered his ring.

LOST GOLD RING IN THE SAND AT SANTA MONICA BEACH FOUND & RETURNED

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

I was heading back from metal detecting at a local lake Saturday afternoon when I got a call from Alondra, she told me that she lost her ring at the beach in Santa Monica where playing volleyball. I agreed to go & help her after I went home to pick up my salt water detector & grabbed quick snacks. It was already 6:30 pm when I left my house to drive through downtown LA and arrived at the beach just before 8:00 pm, Alondra walked me over to her beach chair & showed me where she thought her ring disappeared into the sand, I detected gridding in the area several times for over half an hour without luck. It was getting dark and she had to leave to meet friends for dinner. I agreed to stay & search a little longer & told her that I’d call if I had any luck. I only had another half hour or so before they locked the parking lot. I knew the ring was wide so I figured that it must have rolled down the beach towards the water, it was the only place left to search, less than 10 minutes of detecting in the water just above my ankles & heard a loud signal, dug & there was Alondra’s ring . I called her to tell her the good news while I was walking off the beach to the cement boardwalk, she was back in less than 10 minutes and was elated to have her ring back. I was thrilled that by not giving up I was able to help bring joy to a nice young couple.

IPhone ProMax recovered at Spring Lake Beach NJ by Dennis Burlingame

I justed walked in from work when my phone rang. Walter was calling asking for help in locating his IPHONE ProMax. While enjoying the day at Spring Lake Beach, Walter and his wife were sitting at the top of the slope, Walter had his back turned to the ocean checking his cellphone when a rogue wave came out of nowhere and knocked into him causing him to drop his phone. There was a trough behind them and he saw his phone land into the water in the trough. When the water resided they tried to find it, even asking the kids in the area to help dig through the sand with their hand to try and find it but with no luck. I started a grid in the trough and on the 3rd pass I heard a nice high tone and after removing some sand there was Walter’s phone. He was so relieved to have his phone back, and to make sure it still work he called his wife who was only 15 feet away. A great ending to what could of been a bad day. Happy to help.

Ring lost at Pacific Beach Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Justin and family members were visiting here and spending the day out on the sand at Pacific Beach. While sitting in his beach chair, his gold wedding ring decided to take a sand bath, landing somewhere in a three foot circle around him. Searching the best he could, even using a sifter screen, failed to bring his ring to light. An online search brought him to TheRingFinders.com website and my phone number. A few texts with the pertinent information exchanged, and I was on my way with my wife to help with the awful parking situation normally associated with P.B. As luck would have it, I found parking up close, so, my wife didn’t have to circle, and was able to accompany me to the search area. After meeting Justin, seeing his chair, I had him clear the area for my search. Jokingly, I said that this search might break my record of 10 seconds recovery time seeing as how small the search area was. It was close, but, it might have taken me 12 seconds! A happy Justin can now stay out of the dog house with his wife. A pleasure to meet you and thank you for the reward.

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring at a Volleyball Tournament .. Found with Metal Detector.

If you lost jewelry in the sand or grass call Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Jesse and his wife spent the day at Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. They were watching a volleyball tournament when his wife removed her wedding ring because it was a little uncomfortable. Before she could put in a safe place, she dropped it in the soft dry sand. A long search was unsuccessful.

Two days later he found me on a google search. When he talked to me I was driving home from the west side of Los Angeles. My detectors were in the car so I was available to meet Jesse at the volleyball courts soon after discussing the location and how the loss occurred.

We both pulled up in the parking area and the volleyball court was only 50ft from where he parked. Even though it had been a couple days since the ring was dropped it showed up in my scoop after a few swings of the metal detector. It’s always easier to find a lost metal item if the person can put me in the general area. It’s not always possible for people to meet me at the location but with the help of photos, gps pin markers, google earth screen shots, and other landmarks we can conduct searches.

It’s always special to see the surprised look on a person’s face when they see a sentimental ring or piece of jewelry come out of the sand when they had spent so much time looking for it..

Lost Gold & Diamond Heirloom Engagement Ring at Shorebird Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text from Jeremy who was on vacation with his lovely wife Cate and hail from Maryland.  His text said,  » My wife Cate lost her engagement ring on Thursday as we were collecting our things after a surfing lesson at Gone Surfing in Waikiki.  We are pretty sure it is in front of their stand where everyone checks in.  Any chance you are available to help us find it?  It is tiny, but a 100+ year old family heirloom and very important to her.  » My heart sunk knowing so much time has gone by and the area gets pounded by metal detectorists all the time.  I told them the odds were low but Cate wanted to ease her mind that at least we checked.  I arranged to go yesterday afternoon but the area was packed with tourists with too many distractions.  I told them I’d try again that evening when everyone was gone and I had free movement through the area.  That evening when I arrived there was only one lone tourist sitting on the beach so I started my hunt in earnest.  The area wasn’t large but not knowing where Cate & Jeremy had collected their items I decided to expand the search in all directions.  My first pass I found a pull tab that had been there awhile then a $1.01 coin spill.  I was starting to think we might have a blessing coming.  One the second pass a few feet out from the first I got a booming « 7 » on the Nox and in one scoop there was a sparkling diamond in a tiny ring in the scoop.  I guess this is where the items were gathered.  I texted a picture to Cate & Jeremy and the response was, « THAT »S IT!!!! »  Since they were leaving at 5AM the next morning they decided to pick up the ring at my home which was all the way across the island.  They arrived in record time and you can see the joy on their faces in the pic above.  Aloha to Cate & Jeremy!
