Black Diamonds ARE Forever. Lost,Cape Cod,Found,Returned, Yarmouth Beach

A call came in yesterday, to help find a Wedding Band that was lost the day prior in waste deep water. Rick called and asked if I wanted to go, I said he was on his own for this one, that I had a few things to do. I thought about how vast the area was, so I called back, and said I’ll meet him at his house ASAP. We met Stephanie and Chris at the beach lot about an hour later. They seemed real precise as to where they thought it to be. They walked out ahead of us, as we got ready for the search. Rick and I walked out about a mile onto the sand, then into waste deep water. We both searched for quite some time with no luck two junk targets a bullet and a penny.

I asked Chris to regroup, and stand where he thought it was, he was having second thoughts, he moved about 150 feet over.  Again Rick and I searched, and searched, still nothing. I then asked Stephanie where she thought it was lost, and to go over and stand there, so I could start my search over. Rick was still out far and walking away from Chris with no targets at all. I headed towards Stephanie, as I approached her, I said  » I just don’t get it, I just don’t get it. Not a signal in that whole area, even after an hour, it’s crazy. I told her not to give up till she sees us walking toward the truck. That if it was there and I went over it that I would hear it. I think Chris and Stephanie were about to throw in the beach towel, but as I walked by her, finally a very loud signal 4 feet away from where she was standing in the water. I looked over to her and smiled, Her eyes got huge, her smile even bigger, she had a hard time controlling her emotions. Stephanie knew, I had just recovered what they both thought was lost forever, King Neptune finally gave in to me. Stephanie was shaking, I’m not sure if it was from the cold, or from being excited. She yelled over to Chris, he started to run fast as he could in the water, I yelled faster, faster, he couldn’t get there fast enough to see what the commotion was all about. Rick knew already I had just found Chris’s  beautiful 14K white gold wedding band, with black diamonds set into the center. I handed it over to Chris as he teared up also. So gratifying to see it back on his finger.

Lot’s of congratulations and hand shakes went around, Chris kept repeating he just couldn’t believe we did what we said we would do. Great team work is always a plus. Thanks again to Rick for the invite. Now I will say it myself. Congratulations Chris and Stephanie on your return. Thank You for getting in touch with Rick & myself.

Abby’s Moon Phase Necklace.Lost,Found,Cape Cod,Freshwater Beach Pond.

While out searching for coins and jewelry in the water Rick Browne (Ring Finder) & I were approached by a gentleman named Matt. He asked if we were The Ring Finders from Cape Cod. We both responded YES with enthusiasm. We asked why? He said that his daughter, had lost her precious necklace the day before, and had we found it? We asked if it was in the water, or sand, and he said sand. We hadn’t done the sand area as of yet so let’s give it a try.

We met Matt’s wife Ronni, Abby his daughter, they were all on vacation from New Jersey. I asked Abby to stand where she last saw it the day before. They had been searching with flashlights the night before for over an hour with no luck. Just about then, Rick was already digging a target, and I had a target too. I dug down, and out popped Abby’s chain, with it had a Birth date, Moon phase Medallion attached to it. Abby and Ronni were emotional as one can expect. Congratulations all around for everyone. People clapped as I handed it back to Abby, Rick and I were so happy to be in the rite spot, at the time when needed. Congratulations, to Abby, her Mom Ronni, and Dad Matt, for not giving up and believing. Sincerely Leighton

Lost wedding ring found in water at the Pinery

After 2 weeks away from his lost wedding ring, this couple had found me on the ring finders site. He had been in waist water off the beach where his wedding ring slipped off. There had been a number of windy days and big waves so I told him not to get his hopes up too much, but for sure we would give it a go. A beautiful day presented itself, and we were off to the beach. While 20 minutes into my search pattern, I received the signal, and the only signal! After a few attempts digging with my scoop, the ring came up from deep in the sand in all its glory! It was a great find, and a great day on the beach!

Lost Ear ring Returns home Chatham MA

Rick Browne of the Ring Finders was in J & E Enterprises  when a couple walked in to rent a Metal Detector. Upon further conversation with Lisa & Paul, it was obvious that Lisa was very emotional about losing an ear ring earlier the day before. Lisa had mentioned that the ear rings were 20 years old. Rick offered his services to find it, he also made the call to me… I accepted, but hesitant on going. Ear rings are tough to find, especially on a beach. It was lost while trying to re fly a kite that had crashed, the string caught Lisa’s ear and was thought to be lost forever.

We met up with Paul and Lisa, we walked down to the spot where they both thought it should be. I had Lisa stand where she felt it last. Paul went over to a different spot about 45 feet away and marked an X in the sand… I knew we had our work cut out for us… Rick helped me notch out everything but the ear ring on my detector… we had the other one to go by. After we both methodically did the area about 150 square feet we new where it wasn’t.

I started to think outside of the box, and thought that maybe Lisa somehow carried it in her hoodie and didn’t realize it. I started to search near the exit to the beach, and about 20 feet from the boardwalk I got the signal that I knew was the ear ring. Sure enough in my hand was a 1.75 Carrot Diamond ear ring. I called over to Rick and gave him the thumbs up, he smiled and was surprised I had found it so far from where they thought it to be. He said you did it again, good job buddy. I then gave Paul a signal to come over, and motioned to Lisa… I think they were about to give up. Lisa kept repeating did you find it? she just couldn’t believe it, when I dropped it into her hand. She started to cry a bit, and said I restored her faith in people…Lisa said there really are some good ones left in the world. I told her we are not done yet… I needed to get the back part for her… She said she didn’t care about the back, I said I don’t leave Gold on the beach… She chuckled a bit, and about one minute later, I also found the back… Another great day for The Ring Finders… Thanks to Rick helping set the machine up… and Thanks to Lisa and Paul for not giving up… Persistence payed of in a big way…Congratulations …

Found, wedding ring lost in Oneida Lake. New York State

  • from Syracuse (New York, United States)

Greg lost his ring in Oneida Lake just north of Syracuse in New York State.  After trying to find his ring himself his wife called me and we set up a meeting to search for his ring.  This was a real « team effort » Greg had taken the time to triangulate exactly where he lost his ring so the search area was quite small.  The area was right on the edge of a large rocky area just of Phillips Point.  The rocks in this area are VERY large, none small enough to fit into a scoop and most weigh-in at well over 100#. Greg was also very involved in the search for his ring.  Although I located the ring in the rocks, Greg (being much younger) wanted to bend down and search for the ring with my « pin pointer ».  The pin pointer would vibrate and pin point within 1 inch of the ring, but Greg would have to « feel » the ring with his hand.  Here is the video of the recovery of his ring.

Wedding set (engagement & wedding ring) lost in Fair Haven NY. FOUND

  • from Syracuse (New York, United States)

Tuesday evening, 5:00 p.m. and my phone rings.  It’s a young man name Dylan who says that while he and his family were swimming etc. at Fair Haven Beach and park on Lake Ontario, his Aunt lost her wedding band and engagement rings while sitting on the lake shore very close to the water.  They had been hunting for the rings for 1 hour and was about to give up when they contacted the life guard.  She (the life guard) suggested that they call me and that I would most likely be able to find the lost rings. I told Dylan that I would pack up my equipment and be there at the beach in about 1 hour.  Dylan and his family were about to leave, so I told him to do so and I would get to the beach, do my search and call them when I found his Aunt’s ring.

When I arrived the life guards had marked off the area, so I search the dry sand, but the Aunt’s rings were not there.  I then stepped into the water thinking that most likely a wave had come ashore, caught the rings and washed them out to the first wave break.  I walked about 4 feet when my detector sounded out with that low, deep sound that told me that there was a gold ring under the coil.  I had too take two scoops but up came the wedding band.  GREAT, but where was the engagement ring.  I swung the coil again and move forward about 18 inches and there was another low, deep sound.  This time the ring was down about 8 inches so it took me 4 scoops but up came the engagement ring.   BINGO I had both rings.

I called Dylan on his cell phone and told him that I had both rings, and he said that they were in downtown Fair Haven and going to a diner to eat supper.  I told them that I would meet them there.

Dylan’s Aunt was very happy to get her rings back, and now she can tell the story of how her rings decided to spend some extra time soaking up the sun and sand on Fair Haven beach in 2020.  LOL

Thank you Dylan, your Aunt and the whole family for the very generous finders reward.
