Thank you Mike!

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

My husband lost his wedding band during the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Huntington Beach as we were packing up to leave. We dug through the sand for an hour without any luck. We retuned the next day with a metal detector rental and searched for another 2 hours without any avail and chalked it up to someone must have already picked it up with how crowded the beach had been. We decided to google “lost wedding ring Huntington Beach” and that’s when we found some of Mikes success stories. We called him as a last ditch effort not expecting much. He was prompt to pick up, kind, informative, told us he does things on a reward basis if found, and that he was on his way. We called him around 6:30pm and he texted us less than an hour later that he had found it based on gps coordinates we had given him, a photo taken from the day, and a description. We were so shocked because the ring had been lost for over 24 hours! The ring itself isn’t worth very much but the sentimental value behind it means everything to us. I’m definitely going to save his number for the future! He’s the real deal! Thank you Mike!

Kenny called me the day after he lost his ring and explained he had taken off his ring and placed it in a pouch on their small tent to go in the water. When it was time to leave, his brother in law took down the tent and the ring fell out into the sand.

They searched and couldn’t find it, rented a detector and still couldn’t find the ring. Kenny gave me GPS coordinates to where they were on the beach. This was a great idea on Kenny’s part as it really helped to get me in the right location. I think I searched for about 15 minutes when I received a great sounding signal which turned out to be Kenny’s ring.

Kenny was very happy to get his ring back as it was very sentimental to him.

… Nancy called me from her home in Victorville, CA. She and her husband had spent the day with their child at Baby Beach, Dana Point, CA. Nancy’c husband had given her his necklace for safe keeping as he went for a swim. She placed it with their belongings in a beach bag.

At the end of the day, they packed up everything to drive the 125 miles to Victorville, CA. An hour into the drive her husband asked about the necklace. Nancy couldn’t find it and they were too far away to return to the beach.

The next morning Nancy got online locating my contact information. When she told me what happened and that her husband was very upset. She sent me a marked up Google earth screen shot. I told her there were probably too many people on the beach to search the dry sand of this small beach. I did get to the beach a couple hours before people started leaving. It was worth getting to search as people were leaving.

I had covered most the area with only a couple families left in the area of the loss. Then the family that had a large tarp like blanket laid out on the sand, picked up and left. I walked over to grid search where the had been. Immediately I git a signal, looked down and in plain sight was the necklace with two large pendants. It had been under the blanket all day. I’m sure somebody would have found it within minutes.

So glad to have waited and searched as people left the site. Nancy was elated when I texted her the good news. She wanted to surprise her husband. When they came to the beach a week later, I met Nancy and gave her the necklace. She walked back and surprised her husband after keeping it a secret for a week.

I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “  Don’t wait call now!  Stan ..  949-500-2136..

Lost Gold Hawaiian Heirloom Ring at Lanikuhonua Lagoon…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began yesterday afternoon when I received an email from Rayna who lives in Kapolei on Oahu. While enjoying the day with her friend her Gold Hawaiian Heirloom Ring fell off into shallow water in Lanikuhonua Lagoon near Paradise Cove and disappeared. I immediately looked at the tide chart and because of a high surf warning at that moment I decided to go the next morning at low tide. The lagoon is somewhat protected but during high tide it flows like a river to Paradise Cove lagoon. The monk seals actually use it as a navigation route to get into that deeper lagoon. I arrived around 5:30AM as the sun was coming up and there was enough light to start my search. A few moments later Rayna showed up and showed me the exact location she was in the lagoon. A gentleman named Shane came with her to assist in any way he could. I immediately started my grid search and on the third leg I got a loud « 17 » on the Nox and in one scoop there was Rayna’s beautiful heirloom ring she got from her Grandma. I shouted over to her on the shoreline, « Got it! » She came running over and tears of joy wear falling down her face. She was extremely relieved the precious ring was found and she hugged me in thanks. Her tears certainly turned into a lovely smile! Aloha to Rayna!

Lost wedding band recovered in Long Branch by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from fellow RingFinder Steve Pacifico asking if I was able to do a recovery in Long Branch for a wedding band, of course I said no problem. He forward me Paul’s phone number and after calling him told him i’d be there in bout 25 minutes. I loaded up my gear and headed out. I met Paul at the beach and he told me he was enjoying the day with his wife and took off his platinum band to put lotion on and rested his ring on his lap, forgetting it was there stood up and the ring flew off and disappeared into the sand. They tried to search for themselves but couldn’t locate it, in doing so a couple sitting by them told them about RingFinder and they contacted Steve and in return being to far away got hold of me. Paul showed me where he was sitting and sure enough the first thing I heard after turning on my detector was Paul’s ring about 4 feet in front of his chair. Paul and his wife were grateful to get his ring back. Another happy couple and happy ending to the day.

Lost Ring found on Vancouver Beach

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I got a text message the other day in regards to Lost Ring at Locarno Beach Vancouver. I quickly called Maya to discuss the search and found out that she had taken the ring off and put it in your shorts pocket while she went for a swim, when she got out of the water she put on her shorts and didn’t realize till later that the ring was missing.

This has been happening a lot lately, people taking off the rings to keep them safe then forgetting and the ring falling out of her pocket or out of the shoe, very common. I found out that she had lost it the day before which always is a concern that somebody might beat me to it. When I arrived and started my search I quickly started finding pieces of iron, bottle caps ,and pull tabs so I was confident we had a good chance of finding it.

Maya also told me that she was going to dinner that night at her boyfriends parents place and it was her boyfriend’s mother who gave her the ring, so you can imagine how important it was that she had the ring on when she went there for dinner.

After 10 minutes I found her beautiful ring, I went to surprise her and my camera was full and I had no space to make the video I tried to do it on my GoPro I have to edit and see if I have enough footage to show you… the most important thing is we found her ring and her smile

Lost prescription glasses, Ponce Inlet, Fl….Found and returned to owner!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

While enjoying a beautiful day at Ponce Inlet beach, Mark had laid his very expensive glasses on one of the speakers under the canopy and completely forgot about them. He and his family spent most of the day relaxing on the beach, listening to their music, swimming and working on the great tan that Mark has! Later in the afternoon the skies began to darken and as much as they hoped it would pass–a big tropical thunder storm quickly came up along with strong winds and lightening off in the distance. Mark and his family frantically grabbed up their towels and belongings, tore down the canopy as fast as they could and made a run for cover. The tide was coming in fast as well and soon the area where they had their things set up was being washed with the high tide salt water waves.

At first they thought they had gotten all their things safely to dry cover and then Mark asked if anyone had seen his glasses. No one had picked them up so as soon as the rain let up Mark made his way down onto the beach and began looking for his glasses. Two days passed and Mark began worrying that his 500 dollar prescription glasses might be gone for good and then a thought came to him. « Treasure Hunter near me! » And after typing that phrase into Google he found my name and number on « theringfinders.com web site and we met later on that very day!

Mark explained what happened and showed me where they set up their canopy two days earlier. I asked a few questions about his glasses. Were they heavy or thin framed? Was the sand soft or hard packed the day the glasses went missing? And I could see a line of sea weed where the high tides had come up to. I started my grid search thinking that just maybe, if his glasses were heavy enough, they may have sunk just under the surface of the sand. So treading lightly I began to swing my coil with Mark watching my every move. I stopped and told Mark to start looking the immediate area over along the high tide mark because just maybe his glasses were light enough that the waves pushed them along and deposited them close by. Ten minutes passed and as I was finishing up detecting the small area I heard Mark say, « Hey..Look at this! » And there, sticking out of the brown sea weed was a thin framed pair of prescription glasses…full of sand and half disguised…but none the less just fine!

Mark was shocked and so thankful to have his glasses back once again! And thanks Mark for calling me and giving me the opportunity to help get your glassed back where they belong!
