Heirloom Pendant Found and returned In Kelowna

Troy was devastated when he lost his pendant playing volleyball with a group of people. They all searched for it in the sand, with no success. He called me for assistance and I met him at 7am the next morning at the volleyball courts. I always go early to check out the location and got there at 6am. I searched around and within 30 minutes I had the St Christopher pendant in my pocket. When Troy showed up before his work at 7am, I asked him about the pendant and where he was during the game, he said it may be in the volleyball court, or where they stopped for drinks. He also told me that the pendant was given to him over 20 years ago by his now deceased foster parents and it meant a lot to him. I told him that I had got there early and had searched the whole volleyball court, then I reached in my pocket and asked him if that was the pendant. He jumped up and down and was so grateful, he said that I had made his day.

Lost cell phone in Gobles, MI recovered

I received a call from Dimitriy P. yesterday. He was cutting grass between Blueberry bushes while on his tractor. His cell phone was in his pocket and with the bumpy ride it fell out and went under a clump of cut grass. After walking between the rows of bushes where he had been driving the tractor and searching for the cell with no luck he Googled « lost cell phone » and found the Ringfinders. I have Kalamazoo as one of my cities I serve and that was close by. After reading my resume and making a few reference calls I was asked to find his cell phone.

I called my detector friend, Tom Cleary, to help me search the large area. We started at the front of the field and worked our through the Blueberry bushes. After a search on the front of the farm we headed towards the back and that is when Tom called out to me that he found the phone under a clump of grass with his Equinox 800 detector.

I called Dimitriy as he was driving the 2 1/2 hour trip from West of Chicago. We sat in the shade and waited for about 50 minutes for him while also charging up his phone. Upon arrival Dimitriy explained that his friend just bought the Blueberry farm and it had grown up from neglect for a couple years so they had to cut the grass between the rows of bushes. He said the phone wasn’t that expensive except for all the information that was on it. After a few pictures taken he invited us to come down when the Blueberries were ripe and help ourselves. Ring Saved from Lake Michigan.

Ring was lost near New Era.  On Sunday Clayton was playing catch with a football in just about one foot of water when he felt his wedding ring slide off his finger.  Gregg Larabel and I headed out right away on Monday afternoon because the wave action of Lake Michigan has a way of burying rings forever.  Although Clayton had to work and couldn’t be there, Gregg and I met about 15 family members and friends at the waters edge of the rental cottage, and Clayton’s dad, Mike, showed us where to start:  right where Clayton had stuck a stick in the water where he thought he lost his ring.  After about 10 minutes of searching I got a good hard signal of 55 on the At Pro detector about 6 feet from Clayton’s stick in the water.  Then the digging started.  After lots of scooping with no results I called Gregg over, and he scooped some more, but we didn’t have the ring.  I rechecked the huge hole we had dug to see if the 55 signal was still there and it was.  Just one more big deep scoop into the hole and ring was in my scoop!  The whole crowd on the beach erupted in a cheer!  After only about 24 hours the ring was already buried over 12 inches, we got it just in time.  Clayton’s parents, Mike and Jennifer, stood in for the picture in the absence of Clayton but we got a happy picture of Clayton and his wife after receiving his ring back.  Good memories saved for the 2021 vacation on Lake Michigan.

LOST RING FOUND IN APEX, NC…….. FOUND

Got a text message from Bonnie on Saturday night June 5th at 20:50, that her husband Skip had lost his wedding ring in the water while wrestling around with his son. He was very upset and heartbroken that he had lost it. I reassured her that I would do my very best to find it for him and make him happy again. The next morning, first thing, I drive to their location and I get the lowdown. I changed my settings to only find silver or large sliver I then jumped into the water. It was less than 10 mins later I get a solid on the top silver target that I just knew it had to be the lost ring. After about five attempts to scoop it out, I finally saw the big shiny ring at the top of the clay clump on my sand scooper as it fell into the basket. I yelled out,  » I GOT IT!!! » I get up to the bank and wash it off, shoot a photo and hand it back to Bonnie’s husband and he gave me a great big ole hug. Another happy person, reunited with their precious lost item.

Lost White Gold Ring Found In Davisburg Michigan

Got a call from Ann saying her ring slipped off while working in the yard. On site she showed me the area between a small garden and the back of the lot where debris was thrown. Turning on My MXT metal detector I grid searched the area. Off to the side of the yard close to the house the detector signaled good metal. A quick probe with the pin-pointer in the grass revealed this gorgeous custom design wedding band! Waving her over she reached down in total amazement and lifted the ring from the grass. We both agreed this was a great way to start off the summer!

Lost Men’s Custom Gold Wedding Band – Southern Shores – Outer Banks, NC – Found

I received a call from Fred who said he had lost his ring on the beach.  I asked him if he was in the water?  He replied maybe on the edge.  I asked if he know approximately where he lost it and he said that he had a good idea.

Fred was in Southern Shores, which is only about 2 miles away.  I told him that I would be there ASAP.  I arrived and Fred led me to the area on the beach where they had a cabana set up with several chairs.  He walked off an area about 20ft square that ended near the water.

I fired up the equinox 800 and did a few sweeps in the area that he thought was most likely.  On the third sweep the Minelab machine rang up a very solid signal.  I thought I had gotten too close to the cabana pole.   The target was relatively deep so I did not think it was the ring.

I was wrong.  Congratulations Fred and Paula!

New Era, Michigan ring recovered

I got a call today from Clayton K. who lost his wedding ring. He explained that he was playing football  on the shore of Lake Michigan in about a foot or two of water when he notices his ring had fallen off. He immediately marked the area where he was when he discovered it was gone. While Clayton was at work this afternoon, my Ringfinder friend Dave Boyer and myself, took the 77 mile trip to help find the ring. When arriving at the cottage’s rented by the family to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Clayton’s grandparents we were greeted by all the family anxiously waiting our arrival. Dave and I got busy searching through the one foot waves and cool summer water, after about 20 minutes Dave got a good signal and called me over to scoop up the sand. Finding nothing I moved my detector a couple of feet at the edge of the lake, where the waves roll in and bury everything in the area, and got a good ring signal. As I dug for the treasure the waves would fill in the hole with more sand. It was like taking one step forward and two steps back. After an unsuccessfully search I gave the job to Dave who dug several scoops of sand and after going down about 18 inches he was able to recover the white gold wedding band.

The family all clapped and took pictures while Clayton’s wife ran the ring up to the cottage to call Clayton for verification that it was his ring. After she came back saying it was his we headed back up the 50 plus stairs to the parking area. It was a happy day for all the family. Seeing that Clayton was at work I had his parents Jennifer and Mike stand in for our book of smile picture.

Lost Keys Long Branch NJ… Found

I received a call from a father whose son Eugene had lost his keys in the sand on West End Beach in Long Branch, NJ.  Luckliy, Eugene had an extra set of keys and had already made it home by the time I was called.  And even better, Eugene had dropped a pin on Google maps around where the keys were lost.  I headed out to Long Branch the following afternoon and using the map with the pin, I was easily able to find the right area.  After searching for a couple of hours, I had the keys in hand!  I’m happy that I was able to help out and Eugene was happy to have his keys back!

Lost 2.1 Carat Solitaire Diamond Yellow Gold Ring at Kailua Beach…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from Krisgel which read « I lost my engagement ring on Friday. I dropped it near the shore of Kailua Beach. I really hope you can help me find it ». I immediately called but there was no answer or voicemail option. The area code was for Dallas, Texas so I knew they must be tourists. I tried a few minutes later and thankfully Stephen, Krisgel’s husband answered and confirmed the ring was still lost and they didn’t tell anyone else. I told Stephen I was heading home and would grab my gear and asked if we could meet at Kailua Beach. He agreed and off we went. Kailua Beach was packed when I arrived and after three laps through the parking lot I left to see if I could find street parking which is a major headache in Kailua and they are cracking down. To my amazement as I turned around a car was loading in front of me so I pulled over and waited. They were quick so I parked and called Stephen. He had to be dropped off because they couldn’t find parking either.
We met at the Kayak Rentals and he took me down to where the ring was lost. As you can see in the picture the conditions weren’t ideal to say the least and I was thinking I might have to return the next morning at the low tide. I entered the water to test the surf and surge and I was able to keep my position so I started a search. First I walked out to chest deep water to see what the bottom was like and it was solid sand. The ring was lost two days prior so I’m thinking it could be anywhere by now. I decided to search the shore break first to see if it got washed up. Only found a child’s small beach shovel and thankfully the beach was fairly sterile otherwise. I moved out to the deepest area Krisgel was and did a search parallel to the shore. First target a pull tab, then a nickel, then another pull tab. I was able to stay on grid so I continued on. Then on the second grid the Nox screamed a 12-13 and on the second scoop I saw the monster rock diamond in the scoop. I barely saw the ring! I yelled toward Stephen  » I think I got it! » By now Krisgel joined us after parking and we all met on the shoreline. They reached into the scoop and exclaimed,  » I can’t believe you found it. » Krisgel immediately put the stunning ring back on her finger and kept saying « Thank you so much! » We had a few hugs and handshakes and then parted ways. Vacation saved! Aloha to Krisgel & Stephen!

Lost Engagement Ring UBC Rugby Field…Found!

Beverley and I were working on a movie set in Vancouver,  close to the end of a 12 1/2 hour day I received a call from a young lady who had lost her beautiful engagement ring at UBC rugby field. She went on to tell me she was playing baseball with her friends and believe she had lost her engagement ring in one or two areas of the field. The great thing about this was it was only 15 minutes away from where we were working in Vancouver so it was quick to get there as the sun was setting. We meet the young couple at the field and they show us the area where they believe the ring could’ve came off, the first area was where she was putting suntan lotion on, the second area was where she had taken her glove on and off.

I decided to go for the area where she had put on suntan lotion on and took off her ring. I started my grid search and could tell the grass was very short hard to hide a ring, I told her and showed her examples of how the ring would probably sit up on this grass and someone may have found it. After six gridlines we started thinking of the other location because she had told me the grass was much longer. However I did not want to stop searching until I completed my grid and another line later into my grid I saw the ring on top of the grass. I love my job I really do it’s awesome to see how happy you can make a complete stranger by finding something as we all know, is so sentimental.
