Wedding Ring Lost at Venice Beach…Found and Returned

I received a call from David; he lost his wedding ring at the beach, and although he knew the small area in which it was lost, was unable to find it. I asked a few questions, and let him know that I would come immediately so as to not let time work against the recovery of his ring.

When I got to where they were sitting at the beach, I could see where they had been looking because of the grid marks in the sand. I then asked David to show me what happened, and from then I began my search. I swung once over some flip flops, and got a good signal, but noticed they had small buckles on them, so I moved them to another area. I swung again, and received the same signal, dug once, and had David’s ring in my scoop. It seems as though they had placed the flip flops right over the ring as they searched for it. David was very happy to have his ring back, and I was happy to have made his day!

Lost Ring Willmore Park Edson Alberta

I received a call from Rod regarding his fiancee’s lost engagement ring.  After asking Rod a few questions I agreed to drive out to Edson which is a 2 hrs drive west of Edmonton.  I told Rod to have his fiancee  call me.

Tamara called me and explained that she was walking on the trails in Willmore park and noticed that her ring was missing from her finger.  Tamara told me that she had a metal detector and had spent a few hours retracing her foot path but had not found the ring.  I asked her if she had checked her car and the clothing she was wearing that day and she told me she had gone through everything and everywhere and that her kids had also checked.

When I meet up with Tamara in Edson  I again asked her if she had checked her car and jacket pockets and she said yes,  then as we drove to the area where she thought she had lost her ring, and as I get out of  my car at the park, I heard Tamara screaming « I found my ring ».   She had found her ring in the inside pocket of her Jacket!

**** Travis and his girlfriend were at Newport Beach, CA. when his ring slipped off his finger into the dry sand. He bent down to retrieve it. His girlfriend, unaware what had happened saw an opportunity to tackle him while he was in a awkward position. Even though it was a small area they could not find his ring that evening.

Travis’s mother called me after finding my contact information online. She told me that Travis was driving back to the location from 40 miles away. She asked if I could meet him at the beach with my metal detector. She also added that this ring was very sentimental to Travis as it had belonged to his father that had past away recently.

When I met Travis and his girlfriend, we walked out to the beach where he had very good landmarks to get us close to the location of the loss. He had even paced off how many steps from the nearby trash receptacle. 

My heart sank as I we got close to the spot. I could see the dreaded path of the beach sifting machine which only does two passes of the towel line this time of the year. 

I began my search grid over the top of the beach cleaning machine’s path, hoping that I could find evidence that it left some metal trash. Sometimes they just set the machine to get surface trash. Not this time, I could not even find a pull tab. It was hard not to tell Travis that we were possibly too late to find his ring. The city’s maintenance crew boasts that this Beach King can sift items as small as a dime.

This time we were lucky, I expanded the grid search area and Boom!! just five feet outside the Beach King’s path there was Travis’s ring. It was meant to be. His very sentimental ring was not going to be lost forever. This was not the first time that I could have given up easily. It feels so good to know, if I stay positive and persistent we can have a successful search. I love doing this and seeing the happy results of returning a precious keepsake live Travis’s ring.

Lost Platinum Ring In The Leaves Found In Rochester Hills Michigan

She Couldn’t Beleaf Her Eyes!

The pictured lady’s husband and children were enjoying a typical Detroit area autumn weekend this past Saturday, raking the final drop of leaves into piles, jumping and rolling around in them, but while enjoying the cool crisp air filled with the scent of orange, brown, red and yellow foliage his ring came off.
Thoughts of not finding it after they searched started to take root, with many disagreenments on where it could be, as he had to take a leaf of absence today on a business trip. Taking a leaf of faith she branched out to seek help. When we talked I assured her that I fernly beleaf that I will find it, there was no treety to sign and all that was needed was a qualitree search, and just leaf the work to me. Pushing my electronic rake thru the various piles I got a nice signal in a deep patch of leaves.
Brushing them aside, as the platinum ring came into view we both exclaimed…Son of a birch! There it is!… as she stared in disbeleaf!
After a few pics, hot chocolate and enjoying turning over a new leaf I said, well I’ll leaf you alone now, there’s not mushroom for me to contreebute.

Lost Yellow Gold Mans Wedding Band Lost/Found At Dewey Beach Delaware

On 09/22/19 I received a text from Patrick regarding the loss of his gold wedding band on the beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware. Patrick had taken his ring off his finger, placed it inside of his baseball cap and set the baseball cap down on the beach with the rest of the items that he had brought to the beach. Patrick had placed his wedding band in the baseball cap for safe keeping while he went swimming. Patrick then forgot that he put his ring in the baseball and upon placing the baseball cap on his head a while later the ring fell out of the cap into the soft sand disappearing out of sight. I agreed to meet Patrick at the location of the lost ring so that I could search for it. Upon my arrival Patrick pointed out the area where he believed that the ring had fallen into the sand. I got right to work and began doing a grid search and on my first pass I located the lost wedding band and presented it back to Patrick.

Judy sent me a text yesterday at supper, she had lost here white gold diamond wedding ring in her back while untangling the dogs chain it was dark out side. She was distraught over loose. They purchased a cheap metal detector from Canadian
Tire but had no luck finding the lost 1 carat ring. She googled and found my info on The Ring Finders Website.

I called Judy immediately and arranged to meet her the next day at her home in Regina. When I arrived Judy showed the approximate area in the snow that it was fell of her finger. the out side Temperature was -14 and the was about 2 inches on the ground. The ring was found 10 feet from the original location and rang up a solid 44 on the AT Gold.

Judy was very happy and could not believe I had found it.

The same choices made everyday are often the same choices made right before one might lose their ring. Likewise for Jamie, when her husband had come home she brought out her two wound up dogs for their moonlight walk. The air’s cool grip clung on tight that night but never the less when the walk was finished the dogs, Jamie’s husband and Jamie all had fun playing around in the pile of leaves. The playing in the leaves came to a close and the family retired back into the house. Upon a quick glance and with a rapid heart beat « my ring is missing » slipped out of Jamie’s mouth. The search was on. Flashlights and retraced steps left both Jamie and her husband at a loss. The next morning the dogs where lethargic with Jamie’s sadness. The only thing Jamie could possibly do was surfed the web for answers. The Knot, a wedding website, told her to call The Ring Finders. So Jamie sent me a frantic text, « I lost my ring are you still available? » I quickly called her and talked about the unfortunate night she had been through and then made arrangements to meet her after work. I knew that the ring could be anywhere in the leaves, on the path they took, in the yard, or on someone else’s hand. Hopeful I took off on my search. A quick pass in the pile of leaves, a stroll through the yard and back in the pile of leaves lead me straight to her ring. With a bit of confidence I looked over my shoulder at Jamie walking beside me and gave her a smile.  » If this signal isn’t your ring I’ll be surprised, »I said. I bent down and slowly pulled back the pile of leaves and revealed Jamie’s lost ring. I got a call from a man on Saturday morning. He lost a Platinum wedding band . I rushed to go meet him at deerfield beach after searching for hours I was able to recover it ..He was so happy to receive his wedding band back.

Lost Mercedes Car Key Strands Couple in Laguna Beach,CA. .. Ringfinder Saves the Day

***  Ricky called me from Laguna Beach, CA. with a desperate request to help him find his only Mercedes car key. It would take five days to and more that $500 to replace the key including the towing fee. To make things worse,  he was on vacation and lives in Las Vegas, NV.

I only asked two questions #1 .. were the keys lost in dry sand and  #2.. can you be there to show me the general location. He said the sand was not wet when the keys were lost but the overnight tide had come up over the area. I met Ricky a half hour at Picnic Cove , Laguna Beach, CA. where he showed me he had set his pants on the sand the night before. He believed his electronic key had fallen out of the back pocket when he picked them up. Although he didn’t discover the keys missing until he got back to his car more than a half hour later.

The tide was receding but still difficult to search. I did a preliminary scan of the upper beach. These were actually a single electronic key fob without any other keys. It’s hard to predict if the key fob would settle under the sand or be pulled further down into the surf. Regular keys or a heavy mans wedding band would normally go straight down into the sand. I couldn’t guarantee that the key fob would still be in the area.

I stayed at the beach for four hours till the tide was low. After a thorough grid search, I found the key 40ft. to the south and approximately 40ft. down the slope under 4”or  5” inches of sand. I rinsed them off in fresh water then texted Ricky the good news. He wa
s there with a big smile and the real miracle was, the key still worked to start his Mercedes after 14 hours in salt water.

I learn something with every type of search and it was certainly special to help him and his lady. Get on the road again.

Key searches can be a problematic because people usually lose them while on a long walk or jogging. Many times other people find them first and don’t know how to return them to the owner. “Suggestion” put a name tag on your Keys and Celphone with you contact information.  There are a lot of honest people out there. Give them a chance to find you.

Lost Wedding Ring… Found Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I received an email from Lynnetia about her husband Aarons lost wedding ring. He had been trimming a tree in their front yard about two weeks ago and realized his ring was missing.

They then purchased a cheaper metal detector and found some things but not his ring. They then found me on the ringfinder site. I went to look for it yesterday and was happy to find it right by the tree.

They were overjoyed that it was found. It was a pleasure to help this nice young couple.
