I received a text from Christina asking if I could look for her husband’s gold wedding band. They were not sure but thought it could have been lost in the yard a few days prior when they were doing some yard work. I drove out later that afternoon and met Christina and her husband Kurt. They showed me where he had been working in the yard and I got to work. I checked about half of the area when I hit a pretty good sound…only to find a nail. However, following the cardinal rule of always checking the hole again I got another good sound and this time I struck gold! I pulled out the ring and asked Christina to come outside. She could not believe that I found the ring and I gave it to her to return to her husband. Kurt was very happy to have his ring back. Not knowing for sure if it was in the yard it was definitly a nice surprise for all of us. As alwasy – it was great to meet kind and generous people and be able to return the lost ring!

I got a call from Mike that he was removing some trash from in front of his house when his ring flew off his finger. Mike said that he and some of the neighbors had searched the area but were unable to find it and he thought maybe it went into the sewer. It was Good Friday and I was planning on heading to church in a little bit so I was hesitant to head out until after mass however, my wife convinced me to go and help Mike – maybe that was my calling for the day. So I told Mike I would be right out and about an hour later I arrived. Looking at where the sewer was compared to where he had been standing when he lost his ring I was thinking that would be one heck of shot and some really bad luck if it went into the sewer, so I had my doubts it went in there. I began my search, checking the most logical place which was the neighbor’s yard across the street and I came up empty so I went back over in front of Mike’s house. After scanning the front yard I moved to the lower side of the driveway where there was a slight drop off to the grass and BAM! there it was. Mike was very surprised at where I had found it in relation to where he had lost it. He and his wife were ever so grateful. The nice thing about a semi-quick find like this was I got to spend a bit of time talking to Mike afterwards. As always – it is great to meet kind and generous people like Mike and his wife and be able to return his lost ring! And I was really glad my wife talked me into going out sooner than later…there is only one Easter miracle but this was definitely a blessing!

LOST SENTIMENTAL WEDDING RING in CHARLOTTE, NC……. FOUND!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

“BREAK OUT THE TISSUES FOR THIS ONE!”

Got a call Saturday, from the ring finders page, while up in WV. A newly wed, down in Charolette, NC had lost his wedding ring while aerating his lawn and putting down straw in his backyard. It had been missing since Wednesday of last week. We agreed that after I got off work at 2 on Monday, I would drive down to attempt to find it.

2:00 pm today, I jump in the truck and start the 2.5 hour trip. I get there just before 5 PM and start right away.

30 mins later I get a good on top, but under the straw hit! I look down and I can see GOLD!!!

The story gets better or a little more “tug at your heart strings” sentimental. You might be asking yourself, “WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE MORE SENTIMENTAL THAN A WEDDING RING?” How about his dad’s wedding ring that was passed down by his mom to use for his wedding after he passed away about 2 yrs ago.

Man I love to help find and reunite lost items for folks!!! I love the drive, hunt, finding them, then seeing that smile on their face again! Only to find out more to the story many times, just like this one!!

Lost Gold Hawaiian Style Wedding Ring at Aulani Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began on Friday when I received a call from Megazar who lives in Ewa Beach.  While enjoying the cool waters of the lagoon with his lovely wife Edah his Gold Hawaiian Style Wedding ring fell off and disappeared into the sand.  They both tried sifting the sand but the odds are dramatically against you in that task.  In my years hunting I’ve only heard of one and that was a Gold Cuban Necklace.  Edah did a google search and found « The Ring Finders » and reached out to me.  I agreed to try the next morning but a miscommunication on probable depth eluded me from finding the ring.  We agreed it would be better if we all met at the beach and they could show me the suspected location.  We agreed to meet Sunday after church.  When I arrived at the beach Edah was already in the water on the hunting spot.  Megazar and I joined her and I explained the type of grid pattern I would do.  First two passes nothing then on the third pass about 5 yards from Edah I got a booming tone on the Nox.  Five scoops later I had a corroded pull tab in my scoop.  I explained how that could have been the ring.  As I moved to within 2 yards of Edah I got an identical tone.  I was thinking probably another pull tab and unbelievably after 8-9 scoops there in the scoop was Megazar’s awesome Hawaiian style Ring.  They were both in shock and very relieved.  Edah was practically standing on the ring and immediately took it from me and put it back on Megazar’s finger.  They told me it was their anniversary so I’m especially glad that hunt was successful.  Aloha to Megazar and Edah!

Robin had lost her keys and reached out to me to see if I could help. She was working in a backyard/wooded area and they fell out of her pocket. I drove out and met Robin, surveyed the area and got started. After about 15 mins. I located the keys next to a tree under a bit of leaves and other debris. Robin was elated that I found her keys and I was happy to be able to return them. As always, it is great to meet new people who are kind and generous and be able to help them!

Kelowna Lost Wedding Ring Found and Returned

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Aliya called me that her husband Nathaniel had lost a Wedding Ring the previous evening, I responded right away. The Family had been having a photo shoot on Dilworth Mountain. During the photo shoot Nathaniel did not wear his wedding ring because it did not fit properly, so he borrowed his fathers ring ( who was not with them) for the shoot, unfortunately his fathers ring was also too loose, and wouldn’t you know it, he lost it. The family all searched the suspected loss location with no success, as luck would have it during their search, someone stepped on the ring and pushed it into the ground. The first sweep of my detector gave a signal, and after scraping the dirt we had fathers ring recovered. Everyone one was happy, and it saved an embarrassing conversation with father.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring – FOUND after being lost for 3 YEARS! Campbell, Ohio

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. I received a text from David about his wedding ring that he had lost three years ago. David had been digging some rocks out of a wooded area behind his house and thought he had lost it there. He had rented a metal detector and said that he looks every winter/spring before things start growing, but to no avail. The trip would be about two hours one way and I was hoping that the ring finder who lived closer would be interested but told David that if the other person didn’t come out I would.

So I arrived at David’s and he showed me the search area. Pretty standard, front yard, back yard, garden, and just to throw in a degree of difficulty a wooded area that was pretty swampy. David thought for sure it was in the wooded area where he was digging the rocks. I checked the front yard…nothing…wooded area…nothing…garden….nothing…backyard….nothing. So I has checking a small strip next to the house. There was a lot of feedback and interference in just this little patch…I don’t know why, but I dropped my sensitivity to almost zero to get rid of the noise. Then I started walking backward and got a solid hit. From about an inch or two under the ground I found his wedding ring.

I called David and he came out and I gave him his ring back. He had the biggest smile and was very happy, not actually believing I found it. Then David told me that about 5 minutes before I called him he had just got done saying some prayers to St. Anthony. I usually do the same before I start any search knowing I can always use all the help I can get, so it might be safe to say I had a little divine intervention! I am glad David got his ring back and as always it is great to meet nice people and return what was lost.

Lost Rose Gold Ring Found in the Snow in Ann Arbor Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Getting The Cold Shoulder……

…from winter is what newlywed Greg received a few weeks ago. Married just over a month and while at work on a break, he was making a snowman and his ring fell off in the parking lot. Searching frantically, he couldn’t find it. So, he went back into the office and gave me a call. We made plans to search but upon leaving his office he noticed a plow had piled up snow at least waist high maybe deeper. He was on the verge of a meltdown when I arrived, so I quickly searched both piles and found nothing. The piles were deep, iced over, hard as granite and near impossible to penetrate. Finding out he was leaving for home out of state and would not be returning for a few weeks made things more complicated. Knowing the ring was more than a foot deep into one of the glaciers, we elected for me to return in his absence to search. So, the next week I returned and noticed the piles had melted considerably enough to metal detect. The first snow pile revealed nothing, but moving to the other pile I got a weak but repeatable signal with the metal detector. Poking thru the snow and moving it around revealed Greg’s rose gold ring hiding under a chunk of ice just over a foot deep! Lifting it out I took a quick pic and texted him. Within a few minutes he texted back that this was the great news that him and his wife were hoping for, and totally surprised the ring was found. Meeting today I said that this was a day long coming. We laughed and agreed that this was a meltdown we can shake off!

Lost – Gold and Silver earring – Kill Devil Hills (OBX), NC – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

On Friday, I got a FB message from Lisa.  She explained that her mother-in-law had lost a gold and silver earring and was wondering if I could help.  I said of course. I asked her to call me and during the conversation we set a time to meet.

On the way I said a prayer for God to give me favor.   When I arrived, I met Lisa and Robin.  Robin said she had been sitting on the steps of their beautiful waterfront home and her cat came up to her.  She went on to say the cat had batted at her sparkly gold and silver earring.  Just then, it went flying and she heard a ding as it hit something.   She tried to find the earring but had no success.

The steps were flanked by bushes right up to the railing and the ground was cover with leaves.  Due to the tight conditions, I was only able to cover a small area with my metal detector.  As I expected, near a home, I found nails, pennies, and roof flashing.

I squeezed through the bushes and began searching with my pinpointer. (An electronic device like they scan you with in airport). Again, I found several trash items.  Next, I checked right under the stair stringers.  Bingo!  It was a good hit, and a shuffling of leaves revealed a bright, sparkling earring.

I hid the earring in my hand and went to find Robin.  I asked her if she could explain again how she lost it.  As she began the story, I raised the earring to eye level.  As she caught sight of it, she shouted, “You found it!!  Happiness.

Lost and found cellphone in Brighton Ontario

  • from Cobourg (Ontario, Canada)

I was contacted through Facebook when Sage lost her cellphone at a parking lot near a conservation area in Brighton. The bad news is that she had lost it over a week ago. After exchanging information and Google earth pictures, I headed over and was able to locate her phone in about six inches of snow. The good news, although the screen was cracked, the phone was still working. Even better, within the case of the phone, was her driver’s licence and various credit cards. She was very happy and grateful to be reunited with her phone and cards. Another happy ending.
