  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I was scheduled to get off work early today. 10 mins before 10:00 am I get message from the “NEXT DOOR” app from a Paul. He asked if I could try and find his wedding ring that he lost in his front or back yard about a year ago. I get there and take 10 mins to get the story and the area to check.

I start in the front, in his flowerbed and my first signal, less than 2 mins, was his wedding ring!

Gold Wedding Ring Lost in a Irvine, CA. City Park .. Recovered in the Grass by a Ringfinder

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

*** Ben and his family had a birthday party for his daughter at a local park in Irvine, CA.  He didn’t notice his gold wedding ring missing till after they returned home. The next morning he went back to the park searching the grass. After a couple hours, Ben went to the internet for ideas about searching for a ring in the grass.

He found TheRingFinders website where he used my contact information to call me. After a short conversation where he said he was at the location now. I said if he could wait a there, I could meet him within 30 minutes. He agreed and I was on my way to the park that was less than 5 miles from where I live.

Meeting Ben on the lawn area of the park, he showed me where he thought the loss occurred. I started a grid search using a metal detector set up for gold ring that should be less than 2” or 3” deep in the grass. Fifteen minutes later he came over to me saying this was not the actual area where they had been yesterday.

I started in the new search location 50 ft. to the north and within 20 minutes I received the magic signal that was Ben’s gold ring deep at the base of the grass, totally out of site.  He and his wife were so grateful to have such a sentimental ring that he has worn everyday for 23 years.

LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING in WILSON, NC…….. FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Got a referral from Dave Oliver about this lost platinum ring that has been lost since July of 2022. I called up Mr. Singh and got the back story. Turns out his wife worked many hours making minimum wage saving every penny to buy this ring for her husband. It had great sentimental value to the Singh’s. They’ve been married for 17 years! So last July, he was mowing and got into some yellow jackets. In the process of running back towards the house and swatting bees his ring flew off in the yard, but he wasn’t sure where he lost because he didn’t realize it for over 3 hours! I started in that area and in about 20 mins, I get a signal and boom there it was about 2 inches down. After finding it and walking back to my truck to put my equipment away, I see him coming out into the garage. He asked me, “DID YOU FIND IT!” I said, “YES SIR” as I held up my finger with it on my hand. He broke down crying!! The wife comes out and she breaks down crying too. We sat and just talked about things for about another hour and one thing he said that is so true and makes you think. He was saying to his wife life moves fast, so fast that all you can do is take mental pictures as your life flies by. He told me he said to his wife that after everything in life is gone. The house, car, kids grown and moved out. The one thing he wanted to do was sit on the porch looking back at his life while feeling this ring on his hand. The ring she worked so hard to buy for him and their love for one another and their marriage together. 😢😢

Rings lost in Calgary’s snow- They Can be Found

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Had a call out from Mike. He had been working beside the house on a cold snowy day. When it happened, he felt it go and heard it hit. His ring was gone and he just couldn’t figure out where.  He could have waited until the snow melted, but having it back meant one less thing to be thinking about. So he called me and had it back in a very short time.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring – FOUND after being lost for 3 YEARS! Campbell, Ohio

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. I received a text from David about his wedding ring that he had lost three years ago. David had been digging some rocks out of a wooded area behind his house and thought he had lost it there. He had rented a metal detector and said that he looks every winter/spring before things start growing, but to no avail. The trip would be about two hours one way and I was hoping that the ring finder who lived closer would be interested but told David that if the other person didn’t come out I would.

So I arrived at David’s and he showed me the search area. Pretty standard, front yard, back yard, garden, and just to throw in a degree of difficulty a wooded area that was pretty swampy. David thought for sure it was in the wooded area where he was digging the rocks. I checked the front yard…nothing…wooded area…nothing…garden….nothing…backyard….nothing. So I has checking a small strip next to the house. There was a lot of feedback and interference in just this little patch…I don’t know why, but I dropped my sensitivity to almost zero to get rid of the noise. Then I started walking backward and got a solid hit. From about an inch or two under the ground I found his wedding ring.

I called David and he came out and I gave him his ring back. He had the biggest smile and was very happy, not actually believing I found it. Then David told me that about 5 minutes before I called him he had just got done saying some prayers to St. Anthony. I usually do the same before I start any search knowing I can always use all the help I can get, so it might be safe to say I had a little divine intervention! I am glad David got his ring back and as always it is great to meet nice people and return what was lost.

LOST TANTALUM RING IN CHAPEL HILL, NC ……. FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)
Received a call today from Tim after he lost his tantalum wedding ring while playing with his dog in a grassy area. He and his wife tried to find it for hours!!! He even marked the exact location with a wooden stick! After he couldn’t find it, he thought about buying a detector, but instead found me on the ring finders and gave me a call.
After I get there. We walk about 400 yards to the area where he lost it. After about 15-20 mins I get a high tone. It was less than 3 feet from the marker he had stuck in the ground.

Lost Engagement Ring and 3 Wedding Bands Found Sea Isle City, New Jersey by Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano OVER 200 SUCCESSFUL ITEMS RECOVERED!!!

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

Lost a ring?

Don’t wait to call!

215-850-0188

Matt and Alicia enjoyed a day on the beach with their sons in Sea Isle City, NJ on Wednesday. They arrived around 3 PM and set their chairs up near the water’s edge. Before applying sunscreen to herself and her sons, Alicia took her 4 rings off and layed them on her chair. As the tide came in, the chairs had to be moved back a few times. They packed up around 7 PM and returned to their house. Approximately an hour later, Alicia realized her wedding rings were missing. Matt gave me a call and we planned to meet at low tide. I gridded the wet sand and did not get any signals, so I expanded the search up to the dry sand. After gridding the dry sand for some time, I finally got a signal and dug up one of the 3 bands. The next signal was another band, followed by the engagement ring that is extremely sentimental because the diamond is a family heirloom. Thankfully, the last band was nearby and recovered!

Lost Rose Gold Ring Found in the Snow in Ann Arbor Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Getting The Cold Shoulder……

…from winter is what newlywed Greg received a few weeks ago. Married just over a month and while at work on a break, he was making a snowman and his ring fell off in the parking lot. Searching frantically, he couldn’t find it. So, he went back into the office and gave me a call. We made plans to search but upon leaving his office he noticed a plow had piled up snow at least waist high maybe deeper. He was on the verge of a meltdown when I arrived, so I quickly searched both piles and found nothing. The piles were deep, iced over, hard as granite and near impossible to penetrate. Finding out he was leaving for home out of state and would not be returning for a few weeks made things more complicated. Knowing the ring was more than a foot deep into one of the glaciers, we elected for me to return in his absence to search. So, the next week I returned and noticed the piles had melted considerably enough to metal detect. The first snow pile revealed nothing, but moving to the other pile I got a weak but repeatable signal with the metal detector. Poking thru the snow and moving it around revealed Greg’s rose gold ring hiding under a chunk of ice just over a foot deep! Lifting it out I took a quick pic and texted him. Within a few minutes he texted back that this was the great news that him and his wife were hoping for, and totally surprised the ring was found. Meeting today I said that this was a day long coming. We laughed and agreed that this was a meltdown we can shake off!

I arrived within 45 minutes and Mel showed me where he thought his ring was! He had searched the area with no luck!
I could see where Mel had been searching in the snow and quickly researched the area just to be sure that the ring was not there, then I moved a few feet forward and BANG, a nice sweet tone from my detector.
Mel was very grateful to have his ring back on his finger and also with the service which Theringfinders and I provided him.

Sentimental Wedding Ring Recovered in Sand at Seal Beach, CA. .. Using a Metal Detector

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

*** It was a Wednesday after a day at work, Jared and his took his son to Seal Beach, CA. for a walk on the beach just before sunset. It’s winter and the city has a 20ft. sand berm built up to protect beach front homes from high surf.

They took a few minutes to play around on the steep sand berm while leaving the beach. Jared felt his ring slip from his finger immediately disappearing in the sand. It was cold, getting dark and  they had to get home for dinner. Jared felt he may have a better chance to find his ring the next day as it’s only a couple miles from his home.

Using the internet to get ideas on how to find a ring in the sand, he found my information on TheRingFinders website. He called right away, which I recommend for items lost on the beach. Jared told me where and what had happened. I knew exactly where the loss had happened because I lived a block away for over 20 years.

We met at the beach a half hour after the call. Jared showed me the general area. I turned on my metal detector backing away 15 or 20ft. to get a few practice swings. BOOM! The first two swings produced a positive signal that was his wedding ring. Jared was surprised that we had a successful recovery in such a short time. I give him credit for calling me ASAP. Metal detectors are a great tool to find rings but it takes a little experience to be able to use one. Timing is more important for rings lost in public areas. I love being able to use my experience using my metal detector to help others who have lost sentimental keepsakes.
