Lost Ring at Mission Beach Found!

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

J0sh called me saying that he lost his wedding ring in the dry sand at Mission Beach He, his wife, and child were still there at the beach so that is always a good sign when it comes to a successful search. That beach is hunted daily by many others with detectors so time is always important. I hot footed it down there and within 5 minutes we had the ring back on his finger. It was good to meet you and thank you for the reward!

Gavin    Gavin Ring

Received a call from Gavin this afternoon wondering if I could find his lost wedding ring which he lost three years ago in his back yard while playing with his kids, I told him I would  definitely have a go, if it’s in the ground I will find the ring.

I ask Gavin why it took him this long to contact Ring Finders he told me that he had given up looking for the ring he had rented a metal detector himself with no luck, and he did not know our service was available until his friend told him this morning to give Ring Finders a call.

After about an hour and a half of searching his yard bingo found the ring buried two inches in the ground, Gavin and his wife are very happy to have the ring back on his finger after laying in his back yard for three years. Thank you Gavin.

Lost Wedding Band recovered 8 years later

My family & I went up north Minnesota for our yearly vacation. We stayed at a resort on a lake and after chatting with the owners, we found out that a couple of people had lost there wedding rings while swimming in the beach area many years ago. Luckily I brough my scuba gear and detectors  » I never leave home without them » 😉 I found both missing rings within an hour of searching. These resorts have a lot of returning customers year after year. It just so happened that the owner of one of the rings was actually at the resort and we got to return that ring right away. The resort owners gave me the contact information for the other person who lost their ring and i contacted him. He has booked a stay up at the resort just a couple weeks away. I left the 2nd ring with the resort owners and I have not heard back. Though I am sure the ring made it back to the rightful owner. The owners said it was a great experience having the ring finders up there to find those lost valuable……….Glad we could help out!!!!!!

Full Moon smiles over Half Moon Lake in Gregory, MI

Three weeks ago Ryan C. called me after finding my name as a ring finder on line. His wife Shannon had lost her diamond wedding ring while enjoying an afternoon of boating on Half Moon Lake. They had anchored their boat at a popular party spot on the lake and while standing waste deep in the water she accidently dropped her ring in the lake. The water was clear but the bottom contained a layer of silt from the clay underneath it. They said they would meet us in a designated spot and we could follow them to the lake. We went to the public beach where they picked us up after getting their boat and then going to the spot where the ring was lost.

Shannon showed us about where the ring went off her finger and we, search buddy Dave B. and I proceeded to look for the ring. Every step and swipe of our detector we would kick up the silt and sink over our shoes in the clay. We did a grid search to no avail. After about three hours I told Ryan and Shannon that I was sorry that we couldn’t find the ring but would come back on my dime to look again. Our drive time from my house to the lake is about two hours.

Today Dave B., myself and another friend Chuck R. drove to the side of the lake that we could get to without a boat and start searching for the ring. Little did we know that we had to walk through a forest for a quarter of a mile with our equipment twice. The first time a gentleman walking his dog showed us the trail and walk with us to the right spot. We thanked him and walked back to the car to get our equipment. Did I mention poison ivy? We brought with us some grid markers and proceeded to search, going from the shallow to deeper. It was in the waste deep area where Ryan’s boat was parked the last time that Dave B. came up with a gleaming diamond. After high fiving each other I walked to shore and texted Ryan with a picture of the ring and said « Is this it? ». He happily replied, « yes ». I told him we would meet him at the beach and presented him the ring.

Ryan did not tell Shannon right away that we found the ring and wanted to have their two year old son present it to her, « she freaked ». So now the full moon smiles are bright over Half Moon Lake once again. The pictures say it all.

Thrown Wedding Ring Lost and Found, Flagler Beach, Florida

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

I received a call from Ken asking me if I could help him find his lost ring. I asked Ken the usual questions, « When did you loose your ring? and What were you doing when you lost it? »  Ken seemed a bit embarrassed about the exact details and finally said that he had actually thrown the ring out the balcony sliding door!  I assured Ken that these things do happen and the most important thing now was to find his missing ring.

Later that same day I met Ken at his home and he showed me the area where the ring was thrown.  After a 20 minute search, the ring was found along the edge of the neighbors sidewalk hiding under a few blades of grass.

Thank you Ken for your generous reward and remember, no matter how you lost it I am here to help!!

Lost something?  Give me a call ASAP!

« I went swimming in a lake and lost my wedding ring. After spending a few hours swimming down 10 feet, we gave up the search. I thought it was gone for good before I found Paul online. He came with scuba gear and an underwater metal detector and found the ring in 25 minutes! Material possessions can be replaced, but the sentimental value cannot. We can’t thank you enough! »

Pietro

Pietro was at a conservation area with his family & lost his ring when swimming. Once I arrived he pointed me to the « location » where he felt the ring slip off. The visibility was 1-2′ & I was able to find the ring in about 25 minutes.

Lost Ring found in lake near Haliburton

Diego & happy wifeOn my first official search for a wedding ring, I was able to find Diego’s wedding ring. He flipped a canoe near a friend’s cottage & lost 2 fishing poles & his wedding ring.  The location was in ~18; in a bay of a lake. It took me about 1 hour to locate the « drop » area as the initial search location was not accurate for me. Note that the more accurate the « lost » location is, the better luck I will have in locating « your » treasure. I found the ring within 15 minutes of locating the fishing poles.

Diego has been married since Feb 2013 so finding the ring was very important to him & his wife. 2 Happy Customers!!

Platinum wedding band found on beach at Leland, MI

Centerville-20130802-00760While staying for the weekend in Gaylord, MI for my grandsons baseball tournament I got a call from Mark D. who was staying in Leland, MI on vacation from Washington DC. He was at the beach on Monday and while wiping sun screen off his hands his wedding band catapulted off his finger into the sand. After looking for hours he went back to where he was staying and started searching on line for someone to find his ring. On Friday he came across THERINGFINDERS and gave me a call. It was about 4pm Friday evening when I got the call and told him it was a coincidence that I was in Northern Michigan and could get there in about an hour and a half, so off I went.

When I reached his address on Manitou Trail I followed him to the beach. I got my Bounty Hunter Time Ranger out and walked the short path to the beach. At 6pm there where still a lot  of people on the beach and right where we wanted to hunt they were making a fire to roast marshmallows. I joking told them they would have to move as there was a ring buried under their fire. Mark pointed out where he was approximately standing and I started a grid search. I covered about a 50 x 20 foot area and couldn’t find it. I went in the opposite direction to the other side of the fire and came up with a nickel and believe it or not a 1962 silver quarter in the same scoop. I went another 10 feet and there it was. I lifted it up and showed Mark and everyone on the beach started clapping.

Mark told me after finding the ring that it was custom made for him and was a very heavy platinum band, then he said « this is the tenth time I have lost this ring » I suggested that he have his telephone number engraved inside of it.

Centerville-20130802-00761The hunt took less than 30 minutes so after Mark took care of my gas expense we took some pictures and he told me he would send me a copy of the video he took while I was looking for the ring.

Another happy ending as I said to myself, « I love my job ».

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring in Vancouver Garden…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

One week ago I received a call from a young lady explaining to me that her mother may have lost her diamond engagement ring in her garden. After talking for a few minutes she said that she wasn’t clear if her mother lost the ring in the garden or if it was lost in her house.I told her that I wouldn’t be able to make it until the weekend, five days later, so that if her mother could check the house good and cannot find it I would come to search the yard on the weekend.Well come Thursday I received a call that they didn’t find the ring in the house and that they needed my service, so we arranged a meeting for 11 AM on Saturday morning. When I arrived I met a very lovely lady named Wendy who told me why she thought the ring could be lost in her backyard. She goes on to tell me that she was doing some yard work and watering the plants and pulling out some bushes and branches which is a very good way to lose a ring. This diamond engagement ring was very special to Wendy because she lost her husband last year as you can imagine the ring meant the world to her. She told me that ring was given to her in 1967 when her husband, boyfriend at the time proposed to her. She remembered that her husband was making payments on the ring… $10 a week and she had the payment sheet showing all the payments he made until it was paid off.I have to tell you I was really praying that I would find this ring for her, so I began my search in the area in the backyard that she showed me where she was pulling branches and watering plants. Wendy had to go in the house to get a battery for her hearing aid and within minutes I had found the ring!  I was so excited and couldn’t wait to show her what I’d found. When Wendy came back outside I showed her her ring and she was so happy! A I have the best job in the in the world!
