How to Find a Lost Gold Ring at White Rock Beach…

I was on a very long search at Kits Beach when I got a phone call from a young man who lost his ring at White Rock beach. I told him I couldn’t make it out there until the next day and if he could meet me there but unfortunately he was working that day but he sent me a very detailed map and I knew right away where his ring was lost.

When I went to the beach the next day the sand looked very high in that area and I knew the ring could be buried a bit deeper, I set up my grid and began my search. There really wasn’t many targets in this area which made me a bit nervous but after 45 minutes I got a great signal on my Knox 800 and I turn my cameras on and revealed the ring in its natural hiding place.

I have to say I’m as happy as the person I find the ring for when I see it in my scoop! It makes my day when you can walk onto the beach and find a ring for someone and know how that will affect them in such a positive way. I text messaged JP with a picture of his ring and moments later I got his response. Because he works so far away I dropped the ring off to his brother-in-law who lives closer to the beach.

His brother-in-law told me about the day the ring was lost and how hard they search for it, he was pretty amazed that the ring came back and he was able to get it back to JP.

Josephine sent me a text asking for help to find her ring on the beach in Avalon, NJ. She lost her gold Cartier Love ring while throwing a ball. It flew off her finger and was was swallowed by the sand instantly. Her ring is very sentimental to her because it was a gift from her grandfather. After a quick search with my metal detector, the ring was recovered!

Tom Caldie recovers engagement and wedding ring set!

Ryan and Krissy contacted me about her wedding band and engagement ring set that was lost in a ditch off of a bike trail near Combined Locks, WI.   It was getting late in the day, so I speedily loaded my metal detecting gear and brought  several  headlamps just in case the sun went down before we could find it.  Krissy had accidently driven off the trail into a steep, rocky and woody ditch.  She was lucky not to be hurt.   In throwing out her arms to break her fall, the ring set went flying into the brush.   I started the couple and their two kids hunting near the trail in case it had fallen off there and I started a pattern in the woody bank.  It always helps to have more people looking, so I bring extra gear for helpers!  After moving aside the branches from a fallen sapling, I heard a signal and saw the ring set sparkling in some leaves.   Luckily, our search ended in smiles!

Lost Rose Gold Wedding Ring In Jacksonville, NC, Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Crystal Coast Ring Finders was contacted early Tuesday morning.

Hanna was having a bad day, especially for a Monday.  She was trying to bring in a load of groceries when her dogs slipped out into the front yard.  She dropped everything to try to gather up the escaped pups.  While trying to bring them back into the house, without a leash, Hanna’s wedding ring slipped off somewhere in the front yard.  Hanna and her husband went to a discount store and purchased a metal detector but had no luck finding the missing ring.  Hanna used a search engine to find The Ring Finders

We agreed on a time Tuesday to begin the search.  I pulled out my seldom used Minelab CTX-3030 with a 17 inch search coil attached.  Within 10 minutes of searching, her ring was found hiding in the grass.

Lost Mens Gold Wedding Band, FOUND!!!

John, his wife and kids were out in the backyard enjoying the first day of heat this summer. Sunscreen, water and running around were the ingredients for fun that day. Little did they know, those ingredients are also how you make a ring disappear.  At 11 am John had his picture taken showing his wedding ring on his hand. By 6pm another picture of John was taken and his ring was gone. After realizing that his ring was gone John grabbed a rake and raked the whole back yard. With no luck, John put on a rubber band in place of his ring and went to work. As john sat at his desk brainstorming a solution to his lost ring problem, John thought about a  metal detector and decided to Google Spokane metal detectors. The Ring Finders popped up first and I got a text from John at 9 am. I made arrangements to be at John’s house by 11 and met his wife Angie at the front door. Angie told me where I should search in the backyard.  A few grid searches put me right over John’s ring. That thick green grass hid his ring so well. As   I bent down to pin point the ring I pulled back the grass.   Unknowingly the ring slid on to my finger. Thank you John and Angie for the reward and trusting The Ring Finders to have the recipe that solved a lost ring problem .

Lost – Men’s Gold Wedding Band – Kill Devil Hills, Outer Banks, NC – FOUND!!

I received a call from Corey who said that he had lost his gold wedding ring on the beach.  He told me that it was not in the water but a storm was looming so that could change fast, so I hurried down to his beach access.

When I arrived, he showed me an area of beach that he thought he lost the ring in.  It was large, and the water was just on the edge of the section.

As I fired up the D2, Corey told me that his wife, Livia, is from Italy.  They had gotten the ring in Rome, and it had the inscription Livia & Corey “per sempre” (forever).  When I heard that, I knew how special it was.  I had to find this ring!

One the first pass, I found nothing; not even a pop-top.  Shortly into the he second pass…bling!  As I moved the coil over the ring Corey and I both saw the gold shining out of the sand.  It was the target!

I received a call from Lindsey on Saturday. She proceeded to tell me she had lost her 14k morganite with diamonds ring in a pond and wondered if I could come and try and find it. I told her that I had to work until Monday. I told her I could be there first thing Tuesday morning. We set everything up and Tuesday morning I headed out.

I got there, got the story and went to work. I was told the ring was lost off the end of the dock on the right-hand side. I tried using a metal detector with a scoop, but the bottom was too mucky. I quickly jumped out and got my Nemo and handheld metal detector and after about 20 bullet casings, I get another signal and when I went to grab it in the dark murky water, I felt my finger go in the hole and I knew I had found Lindsey’s ring!!!

I popped up out of the water with the ring on my finger!! There was a small audience on the dock that couldn’t believe I had found it! I love seeing the smiles and the excitement on individuals faces when I return something so precious to someone.

Wedding Band Lost/Found/Returned Pleasant Bay Orleans, MA

An enjoyable summer day at Pleasant Bay’s Jackknife Cove almost ended in a not so pleasant afternoon. Derek had put his wedding band safe with his glass’s case where it stayed for the hours of beach time. When it was time to leave for the afternoon Dalia took her one-year old’s sun tent down and shook the sand off. Unfortunately, the ring was shaken off with the sand and landed with a “tink” which was heard by all before it disappeared into the sand. As it happens 95% of the time all the searching would not retrieve the ring. It was time for sophisticated equipment to help in the search.

40 minutes after I received a call for the needed help I was standing on the beach with my detector in hand. I was shown where the tent had been. OK I started searching the immediate area of some 10X20 feet. Unbelievable but only two trash targets were found. I checked my equipment, covered the area again with the same results. OK I had to increase the area and added another 10 feet to the breadth of the search area and there it was. I actually saw the ring resting in the sand as I passed my detector’s coil over the ring. I guess Dalia had shaken the tent a bit harder than we thought. I scooped up the ring and let Dalia remove it from the scoop. Smiles, Hoorahs and Thanks with picture taking followed.

Dalia and Derek’s 3rd anniversary in July will not be spoiled by the absence of a wedding band. Congratulations!

Lost class ring, Found 22 years later, Sanford, Florida….and returned to owner!

A friend of ours told me about her lost diamond engagement ring and said it could have been dropped some where around the house that they used to live in, 20 some years ago! She had a sneaking suspicion that maybe one of her boys had gotten a hold of it and miss placed it either inside the house or maybe dropped it some where outside of the house in the yard…possibly! And since they only moved just across the street it has been easy access to the house and yard for the occasional metal detecting. I had started around the front of the house checking every signal that sounded off in the small gold ring range and I dug plenty of foil, pull tabs and pieces of construction aluminum from when the house was built. Next I went along a small grassy area between the houses and got a strong signal that just begged to be dug up! Four inches down I uncovered a large class ring of someone who graduated in the year 2000. The school name indicated a small Christian school that is no longer functioning but my own children attended that very school back in the day! So I asked around and found the parents of the young man who lost his ring and sure enough….while living in that house he had lost his ring shortly after graduating! I always get a thrill when I find a ring in the ground but it brings special joy when that ring has information on it that helps me return it to the rightful owner. In this case I called one of the parents and asked them about their son and his lost class ring and sure enough, he had lost it shortly after his graduation.

Lost Gold/Diamond Ring in Chattanooga-Found

This lady had lost her gold and diamond ring in her yard on the day before, during a family event. I found the ring in less than 30 minutes about 4-5 feet from the edge of the driveway.
