LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING in WILSON, NC…….. FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Got a referral from Dave Oliver about this lost platinum ring that has been lost since July of 2022. I called up Mr. Singh and got the back story. Turns out his wife worked many hours making minimum wage saving every penny to buy this ring for her husband. It had great sentimental value to the Singh’s. They’ve been married for 17 years! So last July, he was mowing and got into some yellow jackets. In the process of running back towards the house and swatting bees his ring flew off in the yard, but he wasn’t sure where he lost because he didn’t realize it for over 3 hours! I started in that area and in about 20 mins, I get a signal and boom there it was about 2 inches down. After finding it and walking back to my truck to put my equipment away, I see him coming out into the garage. He asked me, “DID YOU FIND IT!” I said, “YES SIR” as I held up my finger with it on my hand. He broke down crying!! The wife comes out and she breaks down crying too. We sat and just talked about things for about another hour and one thing he said that is so true and makes you think. He was saying to his wife life moves fast, so fast that all you can do is take mental pictures as your life flies by. He told me he said to his wife that after everything in life is gone. The house, car, kids grown and moved out. The one thing he wanted to do was sit on the porch looking back at his life while feeling this ring on his hand. The ring she worked so hard to buy for him and their love for one another and their marriage together. 😢😢

March 2023 a gentleman called asking for assistance in searching for his lost keys. He had been walking the night before and stumbled on the curb after crossing the street. He fell to the ground into some tall grass bushes that fortunately cushion his fall so he didn’t sustain any injuries.  However after walking down the sidewalk a few moments later he checked his coat pocket and noticed his keys were no longer with him. The grass being very tall easily obscured the keys from view making his visual search unsuccessful.

When I met the gentleman on site we reconstructed the chain of events allowing me to identify the drop zone. After a few quick passes of my metal detector I was able to quickly recover his keys beneath a patch  of tall grass. He was very much appreciative to have them back in his hands and quite shocked how quickly they were located after having spent quite some time searching two separate areas. I told him not to be disappointed on his efforts as this happens all the time. By working with an experienced Lost Item Recovery Specialist its not only our technology that we bring but our years of experience in having worked and studied so many of these lost item cases. With this experience we have developed a keen since in asking the correct investigative questions that tend to guide us many times to the best areas to focus our physical search efforts.

Before he went on his way two suggestions were offered to mitigate a future reoccurrence. I suggested he find a clip of any kind and secure the key ring to his clothing or pack. Also the by adding an Apple AirTag tracker to his key chain since he has an iPhone would be extremely beneficial.  A very nice guy and I believe he will secure his keys moving forward. We are happy he was not injured in his fall and wish him all the best.

March 2023 As I was traveling home from a previous search I received a call from Trina at 8:45 PM on a  Friday evening. She explained she has just lost a 2.4 Ct diamond wedding ring the day before.

Last known location of ring was in her home bathroom washing it off so would sparkle more. She said I remember putting in on my finger as she was heading out of her home for event at the Seattle Rainier Club smack dab in the middle of Seattle down town.

Her husband drove her to the venue and let her out at curb side on 4th Ave. She entered the venue at 3:00 PM, late afternoon with plenty of daylight still shining. Few hours into the event she goes to the ladies restroom and takes a photo of her hair doo as she was a bit dissatisfied with her recent cut. Later after getting home realizing her wedding ring of over ten years is no longer on her finger. She reference the photo of her hair style and there is clearly no ring on her finger.

With out prompting she says I think I may have taken my ring off in the truck on the way to the venue to put lotion on my hands. I most likely set my ring on my leg. She had been wearing denim pants at the time. Often times ladies with dresses or skirts will place their wedding rings on the clothing between their legs as it makes a nice nesting spot but it all to often turns to devastation after realizing they got side tracked and forgot to collect them before getting up and leaving the vehicle. Trina tells me she believes this may have been the action for the loss as she has done this in the past! At that time she heard her ring hit the concrete and was able to pick it up off the ground.

I said it’s 50% either way in your truck or it went outside and landed on the ground. The probability after twenty-four hours in down town Seattle on the concrete is a scary thing to think about but keep the hope alive and may God’s hand of protection be upon your ring. As we wrapped up our conversation I asked a few clarifying questions. Did you look in your truck and she said yes but she was open to me searching the truck in the morning. Towards the end of the call she had already told me she had put out a high alert at the Seattle Rainier Club and they were checking for her the best they could.  I asked her if she had checked the road side yet and she told me they had not. At this point I knew I had to turn back to downtown Seattle for a quick site inspection. I reassured her with all that we know we just don’t know unless we check and time is critical. I agreed to investigate the site and having already reviewed Google street images it didn’t look promising as it was 95% concrete and asphalt everywhere! I told heI would update her on my findings and if the ring was not found I would counsel her on how to post a proper Craig’s List lost item report and we could meet in the morning to search her truck.

Rings lost in Calgary’s snow- They Can be Found

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Had a call out from Mike. He had been working beside the house on a cold snowy day. When it happened, he felt it go and heard it hit. His ring was gone and he just couldn’t figure out where.  He could have waited until the snow melted, but having it back meant one less thing to be thinking about. So he called me and had it back in a very short time.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring – FOUND after being lost for 3 YEARS! Campbell, Ohio

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. I received a text from David about his wedding ring that he had lost three years ago. David had been digging some rocks out of a wooded area behind his house and thought he had lost it there. He had rented a metal detector and said that he looks every winter/spring before things start growing, but to no avail. The trip would be about two hours one way and I was hoping that the ring finder who lived closer would be interested but told David that if the other person didn’t come out I would.

So I arrived at David’s and he showed me the search area. Pretty standard, front yard, back yard, garden, and just to throw in a degree of difficulty a wooded area that was pretty swampy. David thought for sure it was in the wooded area where he was digging the rocks. I checked the front yard…nothing…wooded area…nothing…garden….nothing…backyard….nothing. So I has checking a small strip next to the house. There was a lot of feedback and interference in just this little patch…I don’t know why, but I dropped my sensitivity to almost zero to get rid of the noise. Then I started walking backward and got a solid hit. From about an inch or two under the ground I found his wedding ring.

I called David and he came out and I gave him his ring back. He had the biggest smile and was very happy, not actually believing I found it. Then David told me that about 5 minutes before I called him he had just got done saying some prayers to St. Anthony. I usually do the same before I start any search knowing I can always use all the help I can get, so it might be safe to say I had a little divine intervention! I am glad David got his ring back and as always it is great to meet nice people and return what was lost.

LOST TANTALUM RING IN CHAPEL HILL, NC ……. FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)
Received a call today from Tim after he lost his tantalum wedding ring while playing with his dog in a grassy area. He and his wife tried to find it for hours!!! He even marked the exact location with a wooden stick! After he couldn’t find it, he thought about buying a detector, but instead found me on the ring finders and gave me a call.
After I get there. We walk about 400 yards to the area where he lost it. After about 15-20 mins I get a high tone. It was less than 3 feet from the marker he had stuck in the ground.

Lost Engagement Ring and 3 Wedding Bands Found Sea Isle City, New Jersey by Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano OVER 200 SUCCESSFUL ITEMS RECOVERED!!!

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

Lost a ring?

Don’t wait to call!

215-850-0188

Matt and Alicia enjoyed a day on the beach with their sons in Sea Isle City, NJ on Wednesday. They arrived around 3 PM and set their chairs up near the water’s edge. Before applying sunscreen to herself and her sons, Alicia took her 4 rings off and layed them on her chair. As the tide came in, the chairs had to be moved back a few times. They packed up around 7 PM and returned to their house. Approximately an hour later, Alicia realized her wedding rings were missing. Matt gave me a call and we planned to meet at low tide. I gridded the wet sand and did not get any signals, so I expanded the search up to the dry sand. After gridding the dry sand for some time, I finally got a signal and dug up one of the 3 bands. The next signal was another band, followed by the engagement ring that is extremely sentimental because the diamond is a family heirloom. Thankfully, the last band was nearby and recovered!

Watch the SeattleRingHunter recover an iPhone 13 from fifty feet after ten days from Lake Sammamish.

May 2022 I receive a call from Max after having found my Lake Sammamish YouTube recovery videos. He told me he was on a paddle board with his younger sister and they had just lost his iPhone 13 in the lake!

“Can you help me? , he asked me.

I responded with a few questions of my own. I asked if he had any land marks next to him in the water where the phone was lost such as dock, tree or a piling. I also ask how far out from shore he was?

He told me he could see the homes but nothing in the water around him as a landmark. These were not good answers and it seems some what hopeless to me from the initial responses but I have learned to continue pressing for critical details anyway. I told him Lake Sammamish gets deep quick and the phone might be flooded. He informed me that it was in a waterproof bag. It broke loose from his sister’s neck and sunk to the bottom of the lake.

I had a bit of hope that maybe the phone would be dry but how to know the drop zone was still a mystery.

He also said he had a photo of where they were when the phone was lost.  He txted the photo to me but it was not specific enough to support a dive.

I asked how the photo was taken? His response to me by surprise that he had the whole incident on his GoPro video.

Turned out he had thirteen minutes of total footage and the iPhone drop was clearly at the seven minute mark.

I thought for a bit longer and asked what version GoPro was used?

He responded, “GoPro Version 8.”

My confidence level started to warm up quickly as I asked the $1,000 question of the day.  Did you have the GPS enabled, turned on?

He checked and said yes the GPS was ON!

At this moment my confidence level was about to boil. If this turned out to be true I would be willing to dive for the phone. I had him upload the footage to my Google share drive so I could inspect the data with my own eyes. I could hardly contain myself what if we actually have a full video account of the incident with embedded GPS data. I was anxious as the video file was downloaded to my computer.

When I played the video for the first time I was pleased to see the high definition footage of the complete incident. The instant the phone broke free from her neck as he pulled her onto the paddle board we can actually hear the lanyard clip break and at this instant my confidence level was spiking.

I found an appropriate software application and applied some gauges to the video displaying all the critical data. After watching the video a second time with live GPS data on the screen my confidence level for this recovery reached a full rolling boil! At this moment I knew we had all we needed to dive on this mission with a very solid opportunity of a recovery not based on luck and chance but founded on solid technical skills and process.

We could have not ask for anything better. Even the fact that the GoPro had been running for several minutes was an absolute blessing allowing the GPS to have a solid lock on several satellites for optimum accuracy.

Here is the video…

White Gold Wedding Band Lost In The Attic Bothell, WA

Watch the SeattleRingHunter search an attic for a man’s lost white gold wedding band.

May 2022 Chase contacted me for assistance in finding his lost white gold wedding band. He recently had some cellulose installation blown into the attic of his home. After the job was complete he entered the attic to preform a simple inspection of the work. After completing his inspection he shook his hands while dusting his shirt off when his wedding band dislodged from his finger. With a sea of soft fluffy cellulose at his feet his ring was engulfed out of site the minute it touched the installation. He went on line and quickly learned that if he had rented a metal detector he’d most likely would not find his ring having no real experience using a metal detector. With this advise he turned to TheRingFinders.com found my listing and invited me over. Due to my experience I has asked about the details of his ring so I was best prepared for the type of metal I would be searching for. As it turned out his wife’s white gold wedding band was pretty  much identical just a few sizes smaller than his. I used this opportunity to do a test scan with my machine. As you will see this afforded me a lot of confidence once I got over the intended taggert in the attic.

Attic searches can be very tricky as its bad enough bracing your feet on the rafters, sometimes crawling is required, inhospitable working environment requiring proper PPE protective gear, respirators, bunny suits, lighting and that all before understanding how to use a metal detector properly for the intended target. Attics have a lot of nails, staples and screws along with metal bracing plates, metal electrical boxes and power cords all adding to the challenge of finding a lost wedding ring in an attic. In the summer time they can be all over 100 F limiting an unexperienced individuals mobility and search time. Its quite clear save yourself the hassle and call an experienced Ring Finer for this type of work.

May 2022 Tony contacted me for assistance in finding his lost platinum wedding band. He had spent the day doing a lot of yard work and believed he had lost his ring some place in his yard.

It was not until I arrived at his property and we did a walk through did I fully understand the large area that he had worked. I learned that he did not have any gloves on during his work. Furthermore he had several instances where he was collecting loose yard debris and either tossing piles of clippings into a yard wast bin or throwing bits off to the side of the yard. There was also quite a bit of hedging that took place and any of these proposed to be a perfect opportunity for his ring to have slipped away. As with any large project I tend to treat it like a full course meal. Break it down into smaller size pieces and start eating away at it one bite at a time. The hope is eventually if the ring is there to be found it will turn up.
