Lost Gold Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text from Elaine who was on vacation from Los Angeles, California and staying at the Marriot Beach Resort at Ko Olina. She asked, « How much to find a lost ring at Na’ia Lagoon? » I responded, « Its reward based and that is up to you. » She then said her husband Marlon had lost his white gold basket weave design two days ago in waist deep water. She included some pics of the area. I agreed to hunt the next morning at low tide. When I arrived, I matched up the pics and began the hunt. As I was getting near what I thought would be the last leg I noticed a gentleman approaching me at a fast pace. I assumed it was Marlon but this guy said he lost his ring on the other side of the lagoon and was sure of the location. Not Marlon! I decided to give his ring a quick hunt and then let Marlon know I didn’t find his. The other guy then wasn’t so sure of his location and was going to check with some friends who were with him when he lost it. That hunt will be tomorrow. I called Marlon and told him the bad news but asked if he could come down so I could be sure of the location. When we walked down to the beach Marlon figured a bit more to the South would be more accurate then the pic. Sure enough on the second leg I got a banging « 13 » on the Nox right at the waters edge. In one scoop there was no doubt the basket weave design was very apparent. I texted Elaine & Marlon a pic and Marlon met me at Longboards for the return. Vacation saved! Aloha to Marlon & Elaine!

Lost Gold Wedding Band at Honu Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began when I got a call from Gurkan who lives in Seattle, Washington and was on vacation with his family staying at the Ko Olina Beach Villas near Honu Lagoon. While tossing a ball and wrestling with his son Gurkan’s Gold Wedding Band slipped off in waist deep water and disappeared. Gurkan texted me an estimated location pic and I told him I’d hunt first light the next morning. When I arrived it was still dark but the water was warm enough to start the search. Only a few Lincoln cents and a pull tab then about 30 minutes into the hunt I got a banging « 13 » on the Nox and in one scoop there was Gurkan’s Gold Band shining in the dawn’s early light. I texted him a pic and he confirmed it was his ring. We met at the beach shower area for the return. Vacation saved! Aloha to Gurkan!

***  A man whose name is MT called for help finding his gold with a diamond ring lost in the sand. He was with friends on the beach at Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. They were playing volleyball, so he gave his ring for one of the ladies that wasn’t playing to hold.

This happens often, she put the ring on he finger for safekeeping. Later she noticed the ring missing and it had to be in the sand. I asked MT if they would be able to stay at the location for a half hour till I could get to that beach.

Traffic was cooperating and I met the group on the beach before they had to leave the beach. Shorty after they showed me the 40’x40’ area of the loss, I was able to locate the ring with my metal detector. After several hours of searching before I arrived, MT and everyone were happy, especially the lady that had lost the ring.

As usual most the people in the group did not know that TheRingFinders directory exists. Now we have more than a dozen people that can spread the word of metal detectorists that are willing to help people find their sentimental lost keepsakes.

Don’t wait, call as soon as possible… Stan the Metal Detector Man …  949-500-2136  .. “I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “

Lost Ring Found at Kits Beach Dog Park.

This morning I received a phone call from a young lady who said her friend had lost his ring at Kits beach dog Park. They believed it was in 2 to 3 feet of water and searched as best they could but did not find it. After talking to them on the phone about the search area I knew this beach has a lot of rocks and the ring could easily sit up for somebody to see and find, so I jumped in my car and headed down right away.

The young man who lost the ring told me he was going home to dry off and drop off the dog and come back to  show me the area. The tide was going out so when I got there I had to figure out where he was and visually search the area before somebody else might spot it. As I was waiting for the him to show up I walked around eyeballing the area when I spotted his beautiful ring!

After meeting him and having him show me where he believe he lost it, I showed him where I found it.  Where i found it was much higher up the bank then he believed it would be, so it was a good thing to act fast and get there before someone else put it in their pocket.

The only reason I believe I found it higher up the drop off  was when he showed me how he threw the ball, underhand the ring possibly went across his body and behind him, just my theory.

Lost Gold & Platinum Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began when I got a call from Angelina who was on vacation from Northern California and staying at the Marriott Resort at Ko Olina. While her husband Michael and his son were playing one-handed catch with a football in Nai’a Lagoon at some point his Gold & Platinum Wedding band went missing. Angelina told me he snorkeled for quite awhile looking but couldn’t find the ring. I agreed to meet Michael early the next morning so he could show me the search area. When I arrived the next morning Michael was waiting on the beach. I went down and we drew grid extremes in the sand, then I told Michael since the area was quite large to go ahead and enjoy time with his family and that I would call when/if I found the wedding band. On the third leg I got a loud tone and good numbers on the Nox and after three scoops I had a 10K gold band in the scoop but it wasn’t Michael’s so I continued on. I found a few coins and some trash then after about an hour and nearly 80% done with the search area I got another loud tone with #13 on the Nox. Then in one scoop in thigh deep water there was Michael’s ring in the bottom of my scoop. I walked back to my car and texted Angelina & Michael a pic of the ring. I immediately got a Wooowwa!!! and some happy Emojis. Angelina met me at the Longboards and escorted me to the pool area where Michael and the family was so he could be reunited with his wedding band. Everyone in the family was so gracious and thanked me for finding Dad’s ring. I truly meet some of the nicest people on these ring hunts. Much Aloha to Michael, Angelina & Family!

Lost Ring found in Penticton,BC.

Got a phone call from a young man who said he had lost his white gold wedding band while visiting a little town just outside of Penticton called Granite Creek. He went on to tell me he was throwing a snowball and felts his ring come off his finger. I asked him a few questions, we discussed the search and I agreed to drive four hours up into the interior to help him find his lost ring.

I got up at 3 AM made myself 2 coffees and hit the road at 4:15 AM. I took my time as we were going to meet at 10 AM, I stopped at Manning Park and took a few photos and drone shots. This was my favourite place growing up where my father and mother took me and my brother to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

I met Devin at 10 AM and I followed him on a 30 minute drive to Granite Creek where he lost his ring, when we both parked I saw him get out and walk to the area quickly to do a once over. There was not much snow left and I asked him if it had melted and he said yes, a lot. Before I took my metal detectors out of the car we walked around and eyeballed the area just in case we could see it. I went back to my car grab my detectors and proceeded to search for his ring.

Much like everyone I have helped in the past I could sense his concern and despair, I knew he really wanted this ring back and I too was hoping I could find it for him. After around 10 minutes bingo… I found his ring under the tree covered u but just enough gold to catch my eye.

I have to tell you I get just as excited as the people I find the rings for, It was a 4 hour drive for both of us, I knew he was very hopeful as was,  because it would’ve been a very long 4 hour drive. back home if we didn’t find it.

ENGAGEMENT RING FOUND IN BATON ROUGE,LA-ONE DOWN ONE LEFT TO GO

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

Lauren called me around noon on a Tuesday. She had lost her engagement ring and wedding band on Sunday at an event called “Touch a Truck”. A wide variety of trucks, construction equipment, an ambulance, a helicopter, etc. were positioned in a large (over 3 acre) field for the inspection by adults and their children. Lauren and Corey took their young children to see and play on many of the exhibited vehicles. Starting out the adventure, Lauren placed her wedding rings in her pocket before applying sunscreen to the little ones. She also placed her phone in the same pocket. She took many photos of the kids, each time pulling the phone from her pocket. She noticed the rings missing when she returned to the car.

She sent me a map of the event and some photos she had taken. These photos would help me locate the areas where she had taken her phone out of her pocket. Carrie wasn’t feeling well, so I loaded up the equipment and took off alone. I decided first to go for pure luck and make passes the length of the field (600 feet) focusing more on sight than the detector since the area was very trashy with a very noisy detector. Also, the grass was short and not very dense. After a few passes I decided to check the photo and focus on where they were taken, and the phone removed from the pocket. One photo, which turned out to be the first one taken, showed a distinctive lone tree with a tree line behind it. From the photo I sectioned off a possible area where the photo was taken and hopefully the phone was removed from her pocket. I was making my turn to start the final pass in the hunt area and the engagement ring was sitting on top of the ground/grass in full view. I sent a photo to an ecstatic Lauren. Her husband Corey came out to collect the ring and help with analyzing the other photos to look for other hunt areas. After another 2 hours of hunting for the wedding band, I decided to call it a day and come back another time to continue the hunt. Thank you, Lauren, for the generous reward.

Ocean beach San Diego lost ring found with metal detector

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The ring finders metal detector service helped find a lost Wedding ring at Ocean beach in San Diego. Call or text Curtis Cox 760 889 2751

Here’s another story I’d like to share of a recovered lost ring recently in Ocean beach San Diego California. Some of these calls I go on searching for can be located in just minutes,Hours, Or worst case scenario..Even days of scanning around with metal detector equipment. However this search was none of the above^.

  March 27th, 2022. 0116 hrs

I was out scanning the beach with my metal detector searching for a lost mens ring at wind and sea cove in La Jolla San Diego when my phone rang towards the very end. This happened to be a gentleman who’d lost his precious wedding band nearby a short time earlier somewhere in S.D and was asking for my help to recover it?  Fortunately I happened to be only 20min away and was able to meet him soon after I finished up that first call.

Upon arriving on to the sand with my gear there I saw 2 hobbyists with metal detectors scouring around and about this large crowded beach but not yet the owner who called. Shortly then after via text,,We spotted each other then quickly walked over to where him and his family were enjoying this springtime San Diego beach weather. After mutual questions and concerns there was 3 probable areas where it could of disappeared…

#1 Too and from the parking lot in the dry sand approximately 1/8 mile one way during traveling or unloading..possibly?

#2 Playing frisbee along a basketball court sized area..However he’s right handed & should conclude that it couldn’t have been lost during the throw??

#3 He mentioned sand bags were filled up to hold down the tent at their spot along the way ???   What I asked?  Turns out,,Something was finally invented to replace metal tent stakes that litter our public beaches and cause injuries to others when left in the sand…Good grief I thought!

So I gambled on the circumstances that lays ahead and chose to scan the tent sand bags on each corner when immediately, All of a sudden,,Roughly 30 seconds around the first of four tent sand bags…BINGO there it was:)…

Too quick I can call it!

Good Karma & good timing was definitely favorable on our sides though I will admit. The sooner we are called,The better the chance. #1

This is a thrilling adventure I get when emotions are high after finding irreplaceable sentimental items that could never be replaced to its fullest. After many years of doing this for others it has not gotten a minute old.

Thank you for the generous reward.Every penny helps me help others who are in need of my service.

Lost Rose Gold Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring hunt began when I got a text from Nathan who was on vacation from Los Angeles, California and was staying at the Marriott Resort near Nai’a Lagoon. He asked if I could come out to the Ko Olina Resort and find his Rose Gold Wedding Band in the dry sand. Nathan said that he gave his ring to his daughter to give to Mom while he was swimming so as not to lose it in the water. His wife put the band on her finger and as she was blowing up an inflatable floatie the ring flew off her hand into the dry sand and disappeared. They initially found my fellow ring finder Don on the website and he referred them to me as the resort’s detectorist. I told Nathan I’d grab my gear during my lunch break and head out to the resort for the recovery. Thankfully traffic was light and I made it out to the resort in a little over 30 minutes. When I arrived Nathan was waiting just inside the public parking walkway where I entered from. Nathan drew a grid in the sand about 20 feet by 10 feet and i started a grid search. There were two deep targets I knew wouldn’t be the ring so I only took one scoop to be sure. On the third target a nice loud 12-13 on the Nox and in one scoop there was Nathan’s Wedding Band. His wife said « Wow! » « That was quick you must do this often. » At least every weekend unless I get a call. Nathan & I shook hands and the vacation was saved. Aloha to Nathan!
