Gold wedding band lost on muddy trail…Found!

Bay Area Ring Finders: Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

I was pleased with myself, having disassembled, cleaned, and packed my metal detector for a impending trip.  So when I received the text from Will and his wife looking for assistance locating his missing gold wedding band, it was a scramble to unpack, assemble and get out the door with my rain gear.  I had to get the ring found before leaving for my trip or it might remain lost for an extended period of time.

I met Will in a lite drizzle at the Macedo Ranch Staging Area where only a few days earlier he and his family had been for a hike.  The trail, a muddy quagmire, proved to be detrimental to his gold wedding band (and apparently a pair of shoes) when he sank knee deep into the muck.  After warning others not to proceed he recovered and shook the mud from his hands.  At that moment, he felt the band slip away and disappear in the sticky mud.  The family, aided by a nearby photographer, searched for some time but came up short.

Disappointed at the loss and looking for solutions, Will thought about purchasing a metal detector.  He admitted he may have even had an Equinox machine in his cart on Amazon when he made contact with me.

At this point in the story, I’d like to thank the individual who located my services and past it along to Will and his family.  Without you, this might have had a very different ending and so thank you;.  I’d gladly buy you a drink should we meet-up at some point.

More to the point, it was a 10-15 minute walk through lite rain and sticky mud up the trail to where Will and his family left markers.  These markers coincided with a GPS coordinate they took to be able to get back to the locale.  These two actions put me within 8 feet or less to where we found that booming mid-tone (VDI-20).  The conditions were not great, the same quagmire that Will took his fall was now our search area, but after approximately 30 minutes of search time, we made the recovery!

Will- It was a pleasure talking with you on our little treasure hunt.  All the things your family did to get us in the right location was spot on, great job!  I’m very happy with the result and excited that the ring tells an even more exciting tale beyond just your marriage.  Best luck to you and the family in the future!

Wedding Band Representing 42 Years of Marriage Lost While Gardening…FOUND in Huntsville, AL!

Christina McCree – Ring Finder/Metal Detectorist for northern Alabama and southern/middle Tennessee…call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7…610-504-6135

This afternoon, Tuesday (March 28th, 2023), I received a call from Susan explaining that her husband, George, had lost his wedding band while gardening earlier in the day.  They’ll be celebrating 43 years of marriage in November!  I was still at work, but told Susan that I would grab my gear as soon as I got off and head their way.

Just before 5pm, I met George at their home in Huntsville, Alabama.  George told me that he knew he had his ring on before starting the yard work.  He then proceeded to show me everything he did: moving dirt in a wheelbarrow, putting leaves and debris in a bag, and tilling the garden.  George told me that he really thought his wedding band ended up in the spot where he was tilling the garden dirt.  I decided to start my search there.

The tilled dirt area was roughly 10×20 feet.  I was using my Minelab Equinox 900 for this search.  I started a grid and within a few minutes, I had my first signal.  The item was beneath the ground, so I moved on.  Right next to that, I received another good signal.  I gently brushed the ground with my detector coil and saw the glimmer of gold shining through the dirt!  George was standing nearby, so I said to him, “hey Sir, I think we found your wedding band!”  George came over and exclaimed, “that’s it!”  I snapped a picture before we cleaned it off.

Both George and Susan were so happy and thankful to have George’s wedding ring back.  This was THE ring that Susan placed on George’s finger over 42 years ago!  Such a blessing being about to use this hobby of metal detecting to help others, and I pray that I get to continue helping others for many years to come.  Please tell your friends and family about The Ring Finders Metal Detecting service.  Awaiting my next adventure…

Ali gave me the details of how the ring was lost; she put the ring in her T-shirt pocket, and it

must have fallen out when the shirt was removed.  The search began in the area where

New to Calgary, She Hid Her Rings

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Daylene has had a very difficult year. Lots of change and health scares led her to hide her rings in her newly purchased home. Months later and still having  significant stresses, she couldn’t locate the rings she tucked away earlier and now that was weighing on her as well. Daylene called me and we talked. In the end, we decided that a different perspective, some integrity and a little tenacity would go a long way to providing some relief.  She was right, we found the rings but not quite how she thought we would.

San Diego Ring Finder saves the day with a metal detector & defies gravity!

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The San Diego Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a lost precious platinum diamond ring tossed out of the car window with an egg!   Call Curtis Cox 760 889 2751 for any roadside lost ring emergencies.

Having been a member of The Ring Finders Service for over 9 years,,I can definitely say I have Not heard it all and probably never will when it comes to the infinity of ways rings have been lost.

This story was interesting to hear from a lady named D.D in Carmel valley,San Diego who accidentally threw both of her diamond rings out the car window while discarding a hard boiled egg for her husband driving.

They pulled over immediately afterwards on the side road searching the easement amongst the plants/vegetation and found the egg including the main diamond ring which landed a few feet behind but could not see the platinum diamond band any where in sight?   Fortunately they thought about a metal detector being useful and found my contact info online later that night.

When we met near the scene of the lost ring there was one hurdle being that this is a narrow and windy road with no parking. So our plan after hopping in her car was to show me the area real quick while her hazard lights were on then she would park down the street a few blocks for the mean time. I knew time was of the essence in addition the sun was setting soon that afternoon as well…

My hypothesis of the most logical place this “Object in Motion” could have ended up at comes from Einsteins theory of general relativity..Including Issac Newton’s apple rolling after falling from a tree.

Sure enough,,Not even a minute of scanning with my metal detector I miraculously found her ring 15-20’ past the egg buried inside of short thick plant that was also 10-12” off the ground.

She was so amazed and relieved I found it so quickly,,I can say the same thing for myself also!! ..;)  as I took some photos defying gravity with our smiles into the planet.

Kelowna Lost Wedding Ring Found and Returned

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Aliya called me that her husband Nathaniel had lost a Wedding Ring the previous evening, I responded right away. The Family had been having a photo shoot on Dilworth Mountain. During the photo shoot Nathaniel did not wear his wedding ring because it did not fit properly, so he borrowed his fathers ring ( who was not with them) for the shoot, unfortunately his fathers ring was also too loose, and wouldn’t you know it, he lost it. The family all searched the suspected loss location with no success, as luck would have it during their search, someone stepped on the ring and pushed it into the ground. The first sweep of my detector gave a signal, and after scraping the dirt we had fathers ring recovered. Everyone one was happy, and it saved an embarrassing conversation with father.
