Found Ring Returned Madison Park Beach Seattle

While on the hunt for another man’s lost wedding ring at Madison Park Beach I was detecting the shallow swimming area and recovered a sterling silver simple men’s wedding band. I noticed it had a 2009 wedding date inscribed inside the band. I knew this obviously held some significant value to someone. It was found in such a place that it had to be an accidental loss. Being after the hours of the lifeguard shack it took the course of a few days and several phone calls. Eventually I was able to get information from the Seattle Parks Departement that lead me to the owner a man named Alex. Alex was a bit confused at fist when I called to confirm his lost ring then he realized after I texted him a photo of his ring that I had in fact found it. We arranged to meet during his early morning commute to work. During our encounter he explained that this ring was hand crafted by a jeweler from his home country and it indeed holds a deep sentimental value to him and his family. He was very appreciative to have it back just in time for his ten year wedding anniversary soon arriving. I am thankful to have reunited this ring to its owner allowing its history of memories and new stories to continue on with Alex for many more years to come.

Duck Pond Ring Toss Recovery Issaquah WA

Pall contacted me sharing that his young daughter had recently been give a very special ring from her grandmother. After having only had the ring for about a week his daughter was in the back yard tossing bread crumps to the lovely ducks when the unthinkable happened. Out went the bread crumbs along with the cherished gemstone ring! Having a girl with a broken heart Paul knew he had to find someone with a machine to efficiently recover this ring from the silty duck pond.

Lost Wedding Ring at Vashon Island WA

Susan called me explaining that her husband, Rob, had recently lost his wedding ring on recent boating trip five days prior. The two of them left Point Defiance Marina and motored over to Vashon Island for an enjoyable day on the water. She explained that Rob was on the beach looking at the rocks when a small wave splashed his ring off into the silty water. Rob instantly froze and tried to stay standing over the exact spot. Unfortunately the water was silty and they had no way of searching for the ring. I am happy that Susan was able to find me.

Lost Ring Found with a metal detector in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania!

Brandon is smiling again!

The beautiful rings and necklace that was lost.

 

I got a call from Brandon on Sunday that his wife had lost her wedding rings and a necklace at the Moraine State Park Regatta near Pittsburgh, PA. She had been swimming in the lake with her nieces while Brandon was on the shore with their dog. When she came back to the blanket, she reached up to her neck where her rings and necklace had been. Brandon said she had a look of sheer terror when she realized the rings and necklace had come off somewhere in the water.

I met Brandon at the state park the next day. After getting permission at the park office to search the water, Brandon and I headed down to the water to start the hunt. I had my Garrett AT Pro metal detector and Brandon had his snorkeling gear as he wanted to join in on the search. The odds were stacked against us… There was a detectorist in the area who had just worked the beach and reports of someone searching the water earlier in the morning. The swimming area is murky and has a concrete base which made my sand scoop essentially useless and my metal detector sound like a screaming child in the grocery store (for the metal detecting enthusiasts, I turned down the sensitivity of the machine and notched out the signals from the rebar in the concrete, making only the gold range audible). Brandon was pretty sure his wife had lost the rings in waist deep water which reminded me I still need to get waterproof headphones, especially if I have to bend down to pick up a target.

After about 30 minutes of grid searching, I found the first ring. « Is this it? » I said to Brandon holding the ring high in the air. He looked over in amazement with a huge smile on his face. A minute later I found the second ring and the smiles kept coming. I told him necklaces were really hard to find but we would certainly try. We searched in the same area for about 5 minutes and I kept getting a faint signal in the waist deep water. I reached under the water with my pinpointer but to no avail- it wouldn’t pick up the signal. Finally I said to Brandon that the signal is right under my coil and if he could dive down and pull up scoops what little sand there was down there we may find it. After about three tries, he came up with the necklace in his hand. Some great teamwork had paid off.

I am truly grateful for having met such a genuine person as Brandon, and for The Ring Finders for bringing us together for the day. Literally one day after joining this group I was able to help someone. Many thanks!

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Marymoor Park Redmond WA

Received a call from Leon that he lost his six month old white gold wedding band while playing Cricket in Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA.

Leon was visiting from Chicago along with some of his mates from New Zealand. They have been on a traveling Cricket tour visiting many different places. When Leon was fielding he decided to slip his wedding ring into his pocket. He said he was quite concerned that it might fall out of his pocket and indeed it did. After quite a bit of fuss searching through the grass and having no luck with a visual search he looked on line for additional help.

I am happy for him that he was able to reached out to me with a prompt call and wiling to provide a lot of detail from what he could remember of his incident.

Maryland Man’s Wedding Ring Lost On Emerald Isle Beach Found

Laura & Roy were spending a traditional trip to Emerald Isle, North Carolina with their Maryland friends.  Roy handed his wedding band to Laura while he went for a swim.  Laura placed her husbands ring in a pocket attached to a beach chair among the group of other friends chairs.  It wasn’t until much later when Laura went to retrieve the ring from the pocket.  It was then she discovered the pocket had a hole that allowed the ring to escape.

Laura called me after a friend in the group mentioned someone must search for these kind of things and she also found from a local surf shop of my business of finding lost items.  Laura gave me a call the following day and I agreed to load up and head her way.  After searching beach near the water first, I made my way toward the higher beach.  After a few unwanted signals, I came across a solid tone on my CTX-3030.  After 1 scoop I held the ring up in the air for Laura to see and she dropped to her knees with relief!

If you lose a valuable in the sand call a RingFinder as soon as possible..

Christina returned home from a day at the beach to realize her wedding ring was not on her finger. Earlier that day she was near a lifeguard tower in Seal Beach most the day and had only gone in the water for a short time. 

After returning to the beach she search the sand by hand without finding the ring. That evening she posted on a local public forum asking for ideas for finding her ring. That was where she got my contact information. Christina was not able to leave work to meet me at the location so I got verbal directions from her. She didn’t feel the ring come off her finger so we only knew that she spent most the day in that location. There was the application of sunscreen and wet hands after being in the water.

I went to the location which was easy to find because it was close to the lifeguard tower. The I discovered that the beach sifting machine had already passed over the towel line. There was a few places on the slope that the beach cleaning machine didn’t get to. I did a grid search of the dry sand anyway figuring I still had the possibility to find the ring in wet sand later.

Just before going to the wet sand, I got the perfect gold tone in my earphones. One scoop and I had Christina’s ring in the scoop. I called her to give her the good news. She was unable to meet me for a few days as she was going out of town for the weekend. I sent her a photo of her ring and assured her it was safe till she could pick it up.

Lost Gold Diamond Wedding Band Lake Morton Kent WA

Randy from Alaska was visiting his sisters family for a huge back yard lake party for their 4th of July celebrations. They had over thirty five friends and family in attendance and the festivities were in high gear. Back yard BBQ, plenty of cool drinks and lost of swimming was enjoyed by all. Then it happened Randy reached the dock and realized his Gold Diamond wedding band he’s had for the past twenty five years was lost in the silty waters below the dock! Of course with no lack of friends and family to help the hunt was on but the elusive ring remained hidden.

Randy’s son Spencer called me explaining the predicament they were faced with at his aunts lakeside property and I gladly accepted the challenge.

Lost ring in the sand, Daytona Beach, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Chris, Aurelia and their four young children were at the beach enjoying a beautiful day of swimming and playing in the surf when suddenly Aurelia looked at her hand and her diamond engagement/wedding ring was not on her finger! She could not imagine how her ring had come off and where it could possibly be! She remembered putting suntan lotion on the kids and then she was sitting in her chair by the waters edge and there was also a brief time when she had played with her children in the shallow water. Aurelia was stunned as the impact and realization of what had happened sunk in and she wondered was there anything that could be done to find her ring?!

Two days later they were directed to theringfinders.com website and when Chris called me we decided to try and search the following day at low tide. Upon hearing their story I tried to piece together just what would have caused her ring to come off and everything pointed to the short time she spent in the shallow water playing with her children roughly two hours after low tide.

Monday afternoon I arrived at the beach a good two hours before low tide hoping and praying I was not to late. As I discussed the details with Chris and Aurelia I felt the need to pray and ask God to help me find their ring! With the family gathered around I committed my time and effort to the Lord and then went about doing a grid search in and out of the water. I had set out four pvc poles to make sure I was going in straight lines and still no ring after the first hour. I then headed up to the dry sand where they had placed their tent and towels and again no ring. Next I began grid searching the wet sand in between the water and the dry sand. After three passes I got a perfect signal and -BANG- up pops a man’s tungsten ring! False alarm! Then four rows over I get another perfect signal–only this time I see yellow gold in the hole!! I called Chris over and told him to dig in the center of the small hole I had scooped out with the toe of my scuba boot! I whispered another prayer of thanksgiving as I realize again what an honor and joy it is to help people find their lost treasures! God bless you Chris and Aurelia and your dear little family!
