Paul contacted me and told me that over the Thanksgiving weekend he was playing football in his front yard with his family. Later that evening he noticed his platinum wedding ring was missing. He and his family searched for 2 days with no luck, he even went to Bass Pro shop and bought a Minelab metal detector still no luck in finding his ring. He contacted me and asked for a few pointers using his metal detector.  I told him I could be there in a few hours with my metal detecting equipment and we would find his ring.  A few minutes into he search I was able to reunite Paul with his ring.

TESTIMONIAL:

« We had a competitive family football game over the Thanksgiving holiday break, and I was in shock that evening when I discovered I lost my platinum wedding ring. We had the entire family looking for 2 days and no luck. Feeling pretty defeated, I had contacted Adam to see if he would be willing to share some tips and tricks from his expertise. Adam did the unexpected. He was at my door a few hours later with his equipment, eager and confident to start the hunt. In my career as a decorated combat Marine I encountered men of great  character and can say without hesitation that Adam’s determination, kindness, and abilities are both impressive and inspiring. Adam went right to work and found that elusive platinum ring. If it’s there, Adam will find it! I am ecstatic and forever grateful for Adam creating a happy ending to this tragedy.  Thanks Adam! «

Lost Yellow Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Queen’s Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text from Will from Washington DC who was visiting Waikiki with his fiance’e Hannah.  Will told me Hannah had lost her Yellow Gold & Diamonds engagement ring in the sand at Queen’s Beach in Waikiki and if I was able to help today or tomorrow.  Knowing this beach is heavily detected I asked if we could meet in about 4 hours as I would be off work then and could grab my gear at home and swing right over.  As I arrived Will and Hannah were just moments away and when they arrived Will drew a grid in the sand for me to search.  After about 10 minutes only trash targets were found.  After talking to Hannah I asked her to extend the grid out into the direction she jumped up when a bumblebee and pestered her and she jumped up and that was when she thought most likely the ring came off.  Surely, the first target in the next grid was a screaming gold tone and one scoop later there was Hannah’s stunning ring in the scoop.  I yelled over to her & Will « Got it! »  I let Hannah reach in the scoop to retrieve her ring and a sigh and look of relief was certainly evident.  Will said Thank you so much.  That truly saved our vacation.  My pleasure!  Aloha to Hannah & Will!  May the wedding be extra special!

Lost Ring in State College, PA… FOUND!

  • from Altoona (Pennsylvania, United States)

Sam reached out to me after losing his 14k white gold ring while playing in the backyard with his dog, Lupo. It was the first snowfall of the year, and Lupo was having a blast catching snowballs. As Sam shook the snow from his hands before heading inside, he felt the ring fly off his finger and heard a faint clink as it struck something near the deck.

Sam and his wife, Moyra, scoured the backyard as the snow fell harder, covering any trace of the ring. After hours of searching in vain, they reluctantly gave up, thinking it might be lost until spring—or forever.

When I arrived that weekend, the snow had melted some but there was still no sign of the ring. Armed with my Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector, I scanned where Sam thought the ring had landed. The minutes ticked by, and just when hope began to waver, the detector gave a familiar low tone. There it was, under the snow, waiting to be found.

Sam was overjoyed to have his ring back. He rushed inside to share the good news with Moyra and brought out Lupo, who was just as excited to meet me. As a final thank-you, Moyra gave me a few of her homemade Christmas cookies—an unexpected and delicious reward that didn’t last long on my drive home.

Helping Sam and Moyra reminded me why I love what I do. It’s not just about finding lost items; it’s about bringing joy and relief to people in those little moments that matter.

The temperature in Glassboro, NJ had dropped to 25 degrees, and the ground was blanketed with a fresh 4-inch layer of snow. Amidst this winter scene, Rachana was snapping photos when she realized she had lost three of her rings in the snow. After a search, they decided to call for help. I arrived about 35 minutes later and met with Rob, who provided further details on how the rings were lost. My search with my metal detector began and soon after, success – two rings were recovered, one gold and one silver. A short distance away, the third gold ring was found. Notably, the gold ring with diamonds held immense sentimental value, as it was Rachana’s mother’s ring, a cherished gift from her father.

As the weather cools here in sunny Florida, it seems like even the critters are looking for ways to stay warm and as Sean attempted to chase an insect out of his front door and into his front yard, he felt his gold wedding ring slip off of his finger and in a second it just disappeared.  He just knew it couldn’t have gone too far but the more he searched the more he realized he needed a metal detector.  His first attempt at renting and using a cheap detector proved more frustrating than helpful and all he was left with were holes in the grass and a bill for the rental.  And then he came across theringfinders.com web site and after reading a few of my recovery stories he decided to give me a call.  The next day I met Sean and he explained what happened while showing me the exact area he was standing when he lost his wedding ring.  I set up my Deus 2 metal detector and began my first sweep along the driveway and as I returned up towards the front door I got a clear medium tone just behind a small Christmas sign decoration and as I probed with my pin pointer I could barely make out Sean’s lost gold wedding ring.  Sean could not believe it was there…so close…yet so well hidden in the fading winter grass.

The frigid night air hung heavy in Ventnor, New Jersey. I received an urgent call from Pete, who shared that Maria had misplaced her car key and fob on the beach during a stroll with her two dogs. Gathering the necessary details from Pete, I promptly set off on my mission.

Upon arrival at the beach, I initiated a systematic search, laying out a grid pattern on the sand to ensure every inch was covered. As I methodically swept the area, the minutes ticked by slowly. After about half an hour of diligent searching, success! The lost keys were finally unearthed from their sandy hiding place.

Lost Gold & Diamonds Bvlgari Wedding Band at Royal Hawaiian Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began yesterday evening as I was heading home from Ko Olina.  I got a call from Kenny on vacation from San Francisco and was translating for Danny & Sunny who were on their honeymoon from Paju, South Korea.  Danny while tranferring his ring for safe keeping to a beach pouch his Gold & Diamonds Bvlgari Wedding Band fell into the water and disappeared at Royal Hawaiian Beach in Waikiki.  Traffic was horrible and I couldn’t get there before sunset.  It was actually dark when I arrived.  Then I found out the ring was actually in the water aways not on the shoreline.  Tide was up and the shore was getting pounded.  I found a great target on the Manticore but I couldn’t pull it out from between two chunks of coral.  I decided and had Kenny translate to Danny & Sunny that I would return Saturday afternoon low tide for better conditions.  When I arrived all three were already waiting on the beach.  A fellow detectorist was also there out in the deeper water and he turned out to be friend who would hunt later if I was unsuccessful.  After a few grid lines I found the target from the night before in between the coral chunks.  This time I was able to approach from a different angle and after probably 6 or 7 scoops I had the target in the scoop with so many coral rubble pieces.  I started carefully removing the coral and there in the glistening sun Danny’s awesome ring appeared.  I yelled towards where they were sitting on the beach, « Got It! »  Danny and Sunny ran down to the water’s edge and I let Danny remove his ring from the scoop.  He was over joyed and started crying.  All the nearby tourists started clapping and saying congratulations.  It was quite the seen.  Thank God Kenny was there to help translate all the necessary info for a successfull hunt.  Aloha to Danny & Sunny!  A special Aloha to Kenny who hung around to make sure these newlyweds had a happy ending.
