Received a call last evening from Brad told me he lost his wedding band at work while hooking up to a trailer in the yard! And could I possibly help him find the ring.
Meet Brad within one hour he showed me where his ring could possibly be? Brad explained to me how he lost his ring? he took his ring off and put the ring in his pocket while he was working also in his pocket was his truck keys and when he took the keys out to move the truck the ring must have fallen out? That narrowed the search to two possible areas approximately 20′ x 40′ each. Since the temperature has been above Zero for the past week the yard was full of mud and a lot of metal pieces scattered all over the yard? This been said it was going to be a real challenge to locate the ring? Brad did his best to try and find the ring with no luck at all.
Within 30 minutes of the search I found the ring buried in mud I called Brad over and asked him was that his ring in the mud he was over the moon to have his ring back on his finger Brad didn’t believe he would ever see his ring again, Another happy client! Thank you Brad for entrusting me to finding your ring.
Peter called me early this morning from Pasadena, CA. He had lost his platinum wedding band in the back yard while gardening. He was sure that it was somewhere in the back yard. Although he had not felt the ring slip off his finger.
Peter’s plan was to rent a metal detector when he found TheRingFinders.com. He called me, asking if I was available. It was very important to have his ring for a formal wedding ceremony this next weekend.
Peter was at work but I was able to meet his wife, Nadia at noon. She showed me the area that Peter had done the most work. The ring did not show, so we expanded the area to where he had walked to get tools. As I was walking over to that location with Nadia, I got a short solid signal with my XP Deus metal detector. There, between the asphalt driveway and the grass was the platinum wedding band lying vertical. Nadia quickly bent down to retrieve the ring with a look of relief that they will now have this ring for their important wedding ceremony. Another happy successful recovery for me to remember. I love helping people find their precious sentimental keepsakes.
Hello everyone, my name is Jason Anderson and I just wanted to use my first post to introduce myself and my services. I am a very determined detectorist and am looking forward to helping reunite you with your lost items in the greater Seattle/Bellevue/Eastside areas.
I am available to hunt for all kinds of lost items, not just rings… and I can travel further for searches on a case-by-case basis. I can even do shallow water hunts if need be.
My first case as a Ringfinder occurred this week after Washington got a bit of a snow storm. A woman had lost her rings in the snow after taking her wet gloves off. She was understandably upset and very hopeful I could help find her rings. I was able to travel to her city the next morning and it proved to be a difficult hunt in the snow… but I found her gold & diamond anniversary band! The other ring was still out there but it was getting dark so I scheduled a return trip to continue searching.
Before I could return, the snow quickly melted in the rain and luckily a neighbor found the remaining ring! All’s well that ends well! She was ecstatic and so am I!

Beautiful anniversary band recovered February 7, 2017
Today, I received a call from Nick asking for my help in finding his keys. They were lost in the snow after a storm that dropped a foot of snow. Nick had the keys in his pocket when he started snow blowing. After he finished, the keys were missing, and Nick had no idea where to begin. He decided to search the internet for help and found me through The Ring Finders website. I searched his yard and found the keys in about ten minutes. As you can tell, Nick was very happy to have his keys back!
Mike had walked to a neighborhood park with his young son. While they were at the kids play area he noticed his platinum wedding band missing from his finger. The last time he remembered seeing his ring was at the house.
That night he returned to the swings which had wood chips on the ground. He thought that using a flashlight while raking through the ground cover might give him a glimpse of the ring. There still was a chance that his ring may have slipped off anywhere between the house and the park.
After discussing the details of the loss, I could only offer to search the places where the ring could be hiding. The most likely would be the child’s swing area where he was the most active.
Mike met me at the park early the next morning and it didn’t take long to get a nice low tone signal that turned out to be Mike’s platinum ring. I took a few minutes to show Mike how the detector works by digging a few coins in the same area.
I had high hopes that the ring would be in the swing area. I can recall at least 5 other rings recovered at swing sets. It has become easier to determine where a ring was lost after hearing many lost ring stories. Still, you never know unless you try.
Wednesday evening I received a call from Karen who said she found me by looking for Fredericksburg, TX. Metal Detector on Google. Karen told me that after removing brush and leaves from their yard to a burn pile her husband, Royce, noticed his Texas Aggie Ring was missing. She asked if I could possibly help locate it. Being a Texan I asked her how big the yard was and if she had a good idea where it could have been lost. She answered « the yard is large but the area it might be in was only about a half an acre or so ». I said to her “If it’s in the yard then I will find it!” Knowing how important an Aggie ring is to a graduate of Texas A&M I made an appointment to meet with them today.
I decided to take my 9 year old grandson, Jake, with me on this recovery. After picking him up from school we headed over to their place east of Fredericksburg. Upon arrival at the house and after introductions were made we walked the different areas of the property that they had worked in. Well, the area was much larger than ½ acre and was spread out to about 100 yards from the house. I asked the investigative questions determining what, how, when, where. I came to the conclusion that the Aggie Ring could be anywhere in about a two acre area. Unfortunately Royce could not recall exactly where he happened to take off his gloves that day. With that in mind, Jake (he has his own detector and knows how to use it) and I “suited” up. I instructed him to start around the burn pile and I started the yard area around the house. Knowing the lost gold ring was going to be big and on the surface I concentrated high tones. After about 25 minutes of swinging my Garrett AT Pro I received the unmistakable “BIG gold tone” in my headphones. Luck was with us! Reaching down and parting the grass was Royce’s huge Aggie ring. I waved to Jake to come over to where I was, Royce must have sensed our excitement as he headed over to where we were. He gave out a big Aggie WHOOP and danced around for a while! Royce got Karen and we all did some dancing and hugging (Jake too)!
It sure was great to meet Royce and Karen and it was an honor to recover Royce’s lost ring for him. It was just as exciting to have Jake involved in the return. He and I had high fives and smiles all the way home. He sure has a story to tell his classmates in school tomorrow. While doing some grocery shopping in Laguna Beach, I received a call from Jeff at 6:30 pm. My cellphone reception was poor inside the store. So I went outside where I could make out that Jeff had lost a ring in a beach about 2 miles south of where I was shopping.
He told me that he had put his heirloom wedding ring in the cupholder of his beach chair. He didn’t remember it till he was already home. This ring was originally his grandfather’s and irreplaceable. Both Jeff and his wife were upset about the loss.
Jeff got online to research renting a metal detector. He located TheRingFinders.com, where he was able to get my phone number. After he told me about the event that led to the loss, I told him I’d go to the location right away. He sounded surprised but agreed to meet me in a half hour.
15 minutes later I parked at Pearl St. It was dark out, so I put my head lamp on grabbed my detector and sand scoop then walked down 50 steps to the beach. Jeff told me about a driftwood hut near where they had been all day.. Walking and swinging my detector directly toward the hut, I hit a perfect signal that proved to be Jeff’s ring.. I turned to walk back up the steps where I could see Jeff. We met at the the top of the cliff, where I gave him his ring and took a photo of his smile.
The next day Jeff sent me a testimonial which I will send to our TRF’s testimonial page. Jeff was truly grateful.
Sarah was training her horse on Monday, it was cold and she was wearing gloves.
Sarah took her ring off and placed it in her pocket for safe keeping. When she went to put it back on it was gone, so she searched and could not locate it. Sarah went home and told her husband I have really bad news.
She told me that she didn’t expect to ever see the ring again.
Wednesday, February 1st. she Googled « lost ring » and found me. I was able to meet with her 30 minutes later and after 20 minutes searching I was able to reunite Sarah and her engagement ring.
This morning on 1/30/17 , I was contacted by a gentleman about his wedding ring he had lost while at a local soccer park yesterday with his son. We discussed the lost ring and all the details of where he had lost it and how.. After speaking to him I agreed to meet him at the park today to do the search and find his ring.. I assured him it would be a easy search and I would be able to find his ring since he was sure of the area he lost it in.. That’s also assuming nobody already found it and picked it up which happens a lot.
When I got there it was around 1:00 pm and I gave him a call to let him know i was there like we had agreed. While I was waiting for him to get there to walk me through everything that happened when he lost the ring I decided to start my investigation and search early to see if I could locate it. I got my long range electroscope called the fieldscope out of my truck and my detector. I started scanning the area with my fieldscope to see if I could get a lock on it. Right away I started picking up the hits. I followed the line in on the hits and used my detector for conformation to locate the ring. I was able to locate the ring in about 5 minutes of searching with the help of my fieldscope / electroscope. The ring was recovered in the center of the soccer field before he even arrived. I was happy to be able to help him out.
Dana called me asking if I was available to help her friend find an diamond engagement ring lost in the sand near the Balboa pier. Her friend Candace had been posing for a video that her fiancé, Mike was shooting with his iPhone. They actually had a video of the moment the ring flew from her finger.
I asked if the ring was lost in the surf or on dry sand. They told me it was ankle deep water. We were fortunate as the tide was falling which would be in our favor for a successful search. It would be about two hours till I could get there but I needed them to wait if possible.
When I arrived we still had enough sunlight and the water had receded enough to get me to possible places the ring could be. I chose to start with my new Deus metal detector. After grid searching the location they believed the ring to be, I was beginning to think of expanding more to the south. I was on my last pass at the water’s edge when I heard the signal I was listen for.
It was Candace’s beautiful rose gold diamond engagement ring. The ring had probably gone more than 15 feet into the surf from where she had been standing when the loss occurred. Amazing that it was only 4 or 5 inches deep in very mushy soft sand.
It was awesome to see the happiness that came to everybody that thought this ring was lost forever. Also a pleasure to meet everyone and help find this symbol of their love for each other.
