Lost Wedding Ring “The Woodlands, Texas” found by John Volek (The Ring Finders – Houston)

I was contacted Allan ad Lisa from The Woodlands, they indicated they need help finding Lisa’s Wedding Ring that was lost last night in their backyard. Allan reported, Lisa had been in their backyard last night throwing some food to the deer and other small animals that live behind their home, Alan said, it was while Lisa was throwing the food she had the misfortune of losing her ring. Alan said while Lisa was throwing the food her ring slipped off her finger and flew over the fence into the easement between their home and the woods.

Alan said they spent a great deal of time that evening looking for her ring and were unsuccessful at finding it. Alan said they continued their search into the evening using flashlights in a hope of spotting the shiny ring…they had no luck. Alan said that night he did a Google search and found Houston Metal Detecting Services-The Ring Finders Houston, and placed the call!

After discussing the details with Alan, arrangements were made to search for the ring the following morning… The recovery was a success, leaving both Alan and Lisa with smiles on their faces!

Lost Keys in the snow north Spokane, Found !!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

Normally, the one who loses an item, finds a Ring Finder to help. However, today Thomas and his son Benjamin decided to place a Craigslist ad stating the need for a person with a metal detector to find some lost keys. This being a very cold, but sunny Sunday I was watching TV and checking out Craigslist. Finding and reading Thomas and Benjamin’s post about their lost keys, almost made me feel like Batman would have when the bat signal was shown in the sky. So after a quick phone interaction and finding the address on google maps, I was at Thomas’s house swinging my Whites detector in over two feet of snow. Keys can be a hard item to pick up with the normal settings, so I opened up my V3I to accept all metal. The front yard had only a few targets buried deep past the snow and in the lawn and not one was the set of keys. Then Thomas told me two other locations to search. The side yard gave up a few really large targets but no keys, so then we went back by the garage. Suddenly, low and behold, the keys gave me a sound. After giving a quick kick at the snow I said here they are. Benjamin came over with a grin of disbelief and plucked out his keys that he lost over three weeks ago. For Thomas without having his sight he was only able to hold and feel the cold wet metal of the keys. However, this didn’t stop the overwhelming emotion he felt. Thomas couldn’t stop saying how happy he was and how I was his hero. So after we found the keys, I got to see the ’74 Dodge Dart one of the keys belonged too. Also Thomas told me of the important safes that were unlockable until now. This was unlike any search I’ve done where I found the person who lost something, and then turned around and found the lost item. Regardless of this not being a ring search, the sentimental meaning of some of the keys and key fobs made succeeding in this Ring Finders key return, priceless. Thanks for reaching out on the web for help Thomas. The Ring finders as a whole proves to me daily, good people with selfless hearts still exist.

Lost Rose Gold Ring in Office Found with Dowsing Rod in Ann Arbor Michigan

Sushi Gold!

This pretty, young lady was hosting a huge sushi lunch party yesterday and her engagement ring came off. When we talked she said she usually keeps her ring on her desk when using the ladies room and thought she had it on at the start of the luncheon. I suggested that before I get there that she and her co workers save all the trash bags that were used that day.
When I got on site today there were 4 bags of trash. I decided to start there. I didn’t want to sift thru all 4 bags and the MXT would have a problem working indoors, but I did have my Garrett carrot ready. So getting my dowsing rod out and sweeping the rod towards the bags revealed a lock on one of them. We played the shell game with the bags and the dowsing rod still favored the same one. So she went back to her office and I started to go thru the bag, removing metal drink containers and foil. I was contemplating dumping all the contents out onto another few bags on the floor but instead I held the bag up and scanned with the pin pointer and got a signal. Opening the bag back up I probed again and sifting around revealed her beautiful 18k rose gold ring at the bottom of the bag! I texted her a pic of the ring in the bag and while a few moments went by as I was cleaning up the mess I heard her feet running across the office and when she rounded the corner with her phone in hand smiling ear to ear with excitement she exclaimed you found it! I said yes look! I couldn’t let her reach down into the trash so I pulled it up and she could not believe that it was found! We went back into the kitchen area to clean the ring and eat some sushi, my first time having it!….
…..and I have to say that I not only love gold, but Sushi!

I received a call the other day from Alessandro who had lost his custom ring at the exercise yard at Venice Beach the day before. This was a ring he personally designed and crafted with his own hands, so it had a very special meaning to him. I wasn’t real confident of a recovery, but felt assured knowing that the County beach cleaning machines don’t go in there, so the possibilities were better than average for a recovery. I let him know I would leave immediately, and meet him there so he can show me the area and explain what had happened.

I got to the yard, and met with Alessandro. He took me to the area of the loss, and showed me the two areas he had focused on the day before while doing his exercises. He had put his ring in his back pocket, so as not to mar it on the equipment while he exercised. He did a lot of moves that caused him to be upside down in different spots in the yard, so the ring could have come out at one of those times. I searched the logical areas where one would have suspected the ring to have come out and landed; no ring. I went over the areas again; again no ring. One thing I have learned while being a ring finder, is that you have to exhaust all possibilities before you leave, so I began searching in an area that did not seem like a likely area, when I got a good signal. I scooped the sand, and saw a big shiny object. When I shook the sand, there it was. I had my back to Alessandro, and when I turned with his ring outstretched, he got up and ran over. He was very surprised and happy to see his ring again. I was very happy to make his day!

After a long three weeks of brutal – 30 Celsius weather, yesterday the temperature rose to -4 Celsius and people took advantage of it.   Stuart called me requesting my service to locate his ring which he lost while on a toboggan hill.  Stuart told me he had raked the area where he believed  the ring was lost and that he also had the kids looking but had had no luck.

Stuart called me to say he would be late so I went ahead and checked the hill. The hill was covered with footprints  but I walked  to where Stuart had raked and that’s where I found his ring.  Stuart arrived within ten minutes and as usual I asked a lot of question.  Stuart began telling me how his hill experience started and said the ring could be anywhere on the hill. I pulled the ring from my pocket and asked him if this was his ring.  He was lost for words and could not believe I had found it so quickly – another happy client.

Thank you Stuart for entrusting me to find your ring.

Lost Men’s Gold Wedding ring FOUND !!!! Airway Heights ,WA

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

As my Sunday was winding down; a newlywed couple, Clint and Samantha were frantically looking for Clint’s lost wedding ring. The newlyweds had just returned from a two week honeymoon. Normally returning to the extended stay parking lot at the Hampton Inn would be effortless. However, while Clint and Samantha were vacationing the snow came down, over 40 inches of the stuff. Needless to say their car was buried in snow. So the deadly concoction of cold wet snow and bare hands made a newlyweds ring fly into oblivion. A call to Samantha’s sister brought up the Ring Finders and my contact info. and the search was on. I scanned the spot where the car sat and around where the snow from the car had been tossed. The parking lot they were in was full so I was doing my best to not get a false signal from the Ford F 250 and a Toyota. Digging out the snow around the other cars didn’t produce the ring. Looking in the cracks of the newlyweds car didn’t produce the ring. Scanning every thing one more time also didn’t produce Clint’s ring. I even looked under the Ford and Toyota with a light. This all was a means to and end, because I had my trx pinpointer and was not going to give up. So by process of elimination I pinpointed around each tire of both of the other cars. Just behind the Toyota passenger tire, my pinpointer went off. Clint’s wedding ring was Found Finally. The crazy thing was I had already removed the light snow around that tire and the ring melted its way into the harder snow that had been there a while. Warm rings that fall in snow like to sink as fast as a hot knife through butter. Thank you Clint and Samantha for trusting in the Ring Finders and May your marriage always have a special place in your hearts and may you both have the desire to discover loves true gifts.

Lost White Gold Cross at Waimanalo Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Christian Cross hunt began when I got a call from Eli who hails from Kansas and is a Marine stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. While enjoying a picnic at the beach he took off his White Gold Cross and laid it on a towel. Later when he went to retrieve his necklace he found the chain but the cross had disappeared. It was getting dark but several of his Marine buddies pitched in but they couldn’t locate the cross. After posting on a lost and found website he was contacted by a gentleman who told him to try « Theringfinders ». We agreed to meet at the nearby McDonalds and then drove down to the beach. It was already dark so I brought my headlamp and Eli brought a flashlight. In the dark it was difficult to pinpoint the exact area so I decided to do an expanded search. It was a rather sterile beach except a buried firepit that was booming with metal trash right smack in the middle of the search area. I eliminated all the possible targets then moved on. I could see Eli was losing hope as I was down to my last grid line after 40 minutes of searching. Then finally I got a number 1/2 on the Equinox and I looked down and there sticking up out of the sand was one of the arms of the cross. It was glinting in the light of my headlamp so I bent over picked it up and handed it to Eli. He was overcome with joy as it was looking hopeless. Had the cross fallen a few more inches toward the water the tide surge from the night before would have swallowed up the cross and it wouldn’t have been found without a miracle in the water. Eli was extremely grateful as we bid each other so long. Aloha to Eli and Mahalo for your service to this great nation.

Wedding Ring Lost in Park Playground Sand in Culver City, CA…Found and Returned.

I received a call from Asher today, he had lost his wedding ring while pushing his daughter on a swing in his local park. He said it had happened today, and it sounded as though he had not left the area, so everything was sounding like there would be a successful recovery. Knowing this was in a public place the emphasis is on getting there for the search as soon as possible, so I told him I would leave right away.

When I got to the park, I walked over where the swings are, and Asher met me to show me what and where the loss happened. He had actually witnessed the ring coming off of his finger and hitting the sand, so he knew where it had gone, but yet he searched for over an hour with no luck in finding it. It is really amazing how the sand will swallow up a ring or piece of jewelry to where it is impossible to find. Fortunately I use the best equipment made for such a recovery, and have the experience to make the recovery happen. Like I tell the people who call me, if it is there I will find it. One short pass, and two scoops later Asher’s ring was in my scoop. He was very happy. This ring represented 3 years of loving commitment for him, he wanted it back, and I was happy to be able to make that happen for him. Awesome day!
