LOST LARGE SILVER RING IN CLEAR LAKE ……FOUND!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

For generations Bethany’s family have lived on a modest lake in the Medical Lake area. They have enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating with every family get together. During a brief swim, Bethany was helping her young niece practice her swimming. With a quick arm stroke Bethany’s niece reached frantically towards Bethany’s hand. As her niece’s tiny hand gripped on to Bethany’s fingers a large silver ring Bethany was wearing slipped off. With panic and haste Bethany called for her husband who was watching all this unfold, she said « dive in after the ring ». Unfortunately, the large silver ring had other ideas and sank quickly.  There’s an idea that rings have the ability to sink slowly in water. However, the only thing floating away is the idea of seeing the ring ever again.  Never fear, I said as Bethany finished telling me her story. I am the avenger of the lost, the catcher of the thrown, the digger of the buried. I am Luke The Ring Finder. There was a slight pause and then Bethany said on the phone « so can you help me find my ring »? I answered yes and made plans to go diving for it after work. When I arrived at the lake the wind was whipping and making waves as I set up my diving gear. I was instructed to search four to five feet from the edge of the dock.  As I descended into the murky water the silt swallowed me up. I could barely see my gauges and had a hard time keeping my heading. Nevertheless, after a few adjustments I got a high tone signal on my detector. Reaching through my coil to grab the item I fought with the weeds and silt. Their grip on the target was strong, but I tamed the beast and acquired my loot. The object in my hand was round with a hole in the middle. I had to bring it up to my mask to verify if it was Bethany’s ring. Alas it was missing the large stone that Bethany had told me her ring had on it. The hunt was still on for Bethany’s ring. While I am searching for a ring under water, I come back up to the surface to check in with the owner. I ask if my position is right or if they would like me to move somewhere else. This adjustment in my position by the owner has resulted in me finding the ring. When I came back up to ask Bethany if she liked where I was searching, she asked me to search more to the right of my current search grid. As I sunk back down into the murky water I grabbed hold of my anchor. Searching to the right of my position I reached as far right as I could to without moving my anchor. At the very apex of my swing, I got a tone. I slightly move up and to the right to get a better stance over the target. A second sweep of my coil gave me another tone, but it overloaded the coil. As I centered my coil over the target I reached through the coil and grabbed hold of another item with a hole in it. However, this item had a large oblong shape on top of the ring. I brought the ring up to my face to confirm what I was feeling, and I could see the large white stone Bethany had told me about.  I found Bethanys ring. Filling up my BCD I slowly floated back up to the buoy. Bethany saw me come out of the water and looked at me with anticipation in her eyes.  I tried to play a little trick on her with the ring on my finger I asked if she wanted me to search closer to the dock. It was hard to hide her ring on my finger so as she saw the ring she smiled and giggled with joy.  » He Found It  » she said to her family that was on the dock. Heading back to my car with all my scuba gear, Bethany’s family congratulated me one by one. A ring lost tears at the heart making it yearn. A ring found repairs the heart and restores happiness. Thank you, Bethany, for trusting The Ring Finders and letting us be a part of your rings story.

Lost gold and diamond engagement and wedding rings, FOUND! Wildwood, NJ
By Jeffrey Laag

I received a call from Nick this afternoon. Nick explained that his wife could not locate her two wedding rings after spending a day on the beach in Wildwood New Jersey. Nick and his wife had checked everywhere and we’re unable to locate the rings. I took the short ride over and met a couple on the beach where they had already marked out a distinct area where they believe the rings could be. Nick‘s wife Christine explained that she had removed the rings for safekeeping to place in her purse. However, upon returning to the hotel, the rings were not in her purse and she was fearing that they had dropped out while she was on the beach. I began searching a fairly tight pattern, and in less than two minutes, I heard the lovely low growl of a gold target. Out popped the diamond engagement ring from the sand! One more sweep across the same area and out came the wedding band! Christine was elated with tears of joy, and understandably so, they are a beautiful set of rings!! Another successful recovery, another happy couple, another vacation saved!

Christines review: “Lost my rings on the Wildwood beach. Jeff found them in no time. He is a lifesaver!! Thank you!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Lost Platinum Ring Underwater Found in Waterford Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

In The Shadows of The Seaweed…..

FIND No. 250!!!

….One more splash in the cool water was all Patrick wanted. Once on shore standing in the sand, he noticed his ring missing. He wondered where it went and looked in his towel hoping it was in there. Nope. He was leaving town the next day and was in panic mode. I saw the water and rushed right in hoping to cool off for a while longer unlike my last recovery. Starting out neck deep I slowly worked my way towards shore savoring the cool clear water enveloping me. Then Patrick’s wife pointed to a spot she remembered him standing. I slowly drifted over to scan the metal detector coil around and sure enough the detector signaled to me good metal. Descending under the water about 4 feet with my pin pointer Patrick’s ring revealed itself under 3 inches of sand, quite unusual for just being dropped. So, all back on shore and happy Patrick can leave town with his ring and I got to cool off longer!

Last night I got a call from a number from Hungary. I figured I was getting spammed so I let it go to voice mail. What it was though was a family from Hungary on a once in a lifetime vacation in the U.S. had been swimming in the ocean across from their Hotel Mar Monte in Santa Barbara. Violet had been standing knee deep at high tide when a sneaker wave came up and knocked her down and her wedding ring fell off into the surf. The other problem was they were leaving the next day (today at 11am) so I needed to get there fast and early. I hit the road at 4am so I could get out on East Beach at 5am. I got to the location and began a grid search from the slope down into the water. On my fourth pass I got the sound I had been looking for on my Minelab Manticore and after 3 scoops I could hear clanging in the scoop but I couldn’t see due to the darkness. I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight and there it was, Violet’s ring!

The whole family was pumped as the lost ring had seemingly put a damper on the entire vacation but thanks to Dave The RingFinder it was going back to Hungary.

Lost iphone FOUND! Margate, NJ By Jeffrey Laag

Last evening I received a call from Jess. Jess explained that she was enjoying some time with family and friends at Tidewaters in Margate, New Jersey. Jess had taken her phone out while attempting to capture the sunset when the phone slipped from her hand and disappeared into the murky depths below the dock she was standing on. After speaking with Jess, we coordinated a time to meet that coincided with this mornings low tide.  I met up with Jess and her mother this morning and they directed me to the area where the phone went in. After about an hour of sifting thru black mud, crabs, clams, and metal debris I managed to locate Jess’s phone. The device was still on and appeared to be completely undamaged from the ordeal. As with most folks now a days a good portion of their captured memories reside on their phone so getting it back was a huge relief for Jess. Another successful recovery another happy client!

Sterling Silver Bracelet with Two Charms Lost in the Soft Sand, Found and Returned Ocean Isle Beach NC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Thursday evening, July 30, 2026, and just before 6:30 pm, I received a call from Mike stating his daughter, Ashlynn had lost her Sterling Silver Bracelet and asked if I could help find it. He also stated the bracelet was a gift from her grandmother. I asked if it was lost in the soft sand or water. He said it was lost in the soft sand on either the prior Sunday or Monday.  He also said that she had put the bracelet in a wagon along with towels and other beach items. He suspected it was lost when they got to the beach and started removing the items from the wagon. We set up a time for me to search at 8:30 pm and hung up.

I ate a quick dinner and text him, asking him if we could meet at 7:30 and he agreed. When I showed up at their rental, Mike, his wife, younger daughter and Ashlynn were waiting in the driveway. We walked down to the beach, and I was shown the area. I got a description of the bracelet and started a circular search. Not really knowing what the bracelet was going to show on the VDI (visual display indicator) I covered the area, checking every signal I got. I was going to start a north/south grid search outside the suspected area when I got a bouncing signal between 12 and 15. I took a scoop of sand and gently shook out the sand. There was nothing in the scoop, so I checked the sand and saw the outline of a possible bracelet in the sand. I reached down and pulled Ashlynn’s bracelet out of the sand. I turned around and looked at Ashlynn, who was watching me and gave her a big smile. The entire family was so happy and excited. Turns out, the bracelet was a HS graduation present from her grandmother.

Ashlynn, so happy your dad called me and we got the bracelet back where it belongs. I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.

Some recoveries happen when you least expect them.

I had just arrived in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, for another lost ring recovery. As I prepared my equipment, a woman approached me with another heartbreaking story.

Her son, Jack, had lost a gold chain in the ocean just hours earlier.

The chain wasn’t just another piece of jewelry. It had been in their family for over 40 years. Jack had proudly worn it every day for the past 10 years.

I assured Jack’s mom that I would gladly help after finishing my current recovery. She left for dinner while I completed the first search.

Once that recovery was finished, I gathered all the important details and headed to the area where Jack believed the chain was lost.

Using my professional metal detecting equipment and a systematic grid search, I carefully worked the search area.

About 20 minutes later, I heard the signal I was hoping for.

Inside my scoop was Jack’s missing gold chain.

Recovering sentimental jewelry never gets old. Every successful recovery reminds me why I joined The Ring Finders in 2016.

I immediately called Jack, got his address, and personally delivered his family’s treasured necklace back to him.

The excitement and relief on everyone’s faces made the day even more rewarding.

Receiving reviews like this means the world to me:

« INCREDIBLE work by John Favano! My mom saw him on another recovery mission and asked him to keep an eye out for my gold chain which has been in our family for 40 years but it fell off in the ocean a few hours earlier. I’ve been wearing it for 10 years so we were all so bummed when I lost it but John saved the day! He delivered it back to us with a smile. We are all still in shock that he was able to recover this item for us. Highly recommend calling him if you lose anything!! »

Water Recovery for Lost Heirloom Gold Ring in Oklahoma

  • from Norman (Oklahoma, United States)

This couple was enjoying a day of swimming with friends at a private lake in central Oklahoma when a treasured family heirloom slipped from her finger and disappeared beneath the water. The gold ring had been passed down through several generations, making its sentimental value impossible to replace.

After the ring was lost, family and friends organized a search party and spent hours trying to recover it, but despite their best efforts, the ring remained hidden beneath the sandy lake bottom.

Later that day, they found my metal detecting recovery service online and reached out for help. After a brief phone conversation, we discussed the circumstances of the loss, developed a search strategy, and scheduled a time to meet at the lake.

Fortunately, it didn’t take long to locate the missing jewelry. Not only was I able to recover the heirloom gold ring, but I also found its accompanying promise ring nearby.

There’s nothing quite like seeing the relief and joy on someone’s face when a cherished possession is returned. Whether it’s an heirloom that’s been in the family for generations or a wedding ring with irreplaceable memories attached to it, helping people recover these special items is by far the most rewarding part of what I do.

If you or someone you know has lost a ring, piece of jewelry, money, keys, or another valuable item, don’t give up hope. Lost Tungsten Wedding Band at Queen’s Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a phone call from a local named Phil who said a couple on Queen’s Beach in Waikiki lost a wedding band in the dry sand.  I told him I could be there in about 15 minutes.  I also told them to stop looking and just draw a box around the area.  I heard him shout out « Stop digging! »  Parking was a breeze as it was starting to drizzle.  When I got down to Queen’s Beach Phil introduced me to Edwin and his lovely wife Paola, who were on vacation from San Diego, California.  The ring was Edwin’s and he said it was a Tungsten gun metal gray ring.  The box was already drawn in the sand and you could see all the disturbed sand from hunting for the ring.  I started the grid search on the west side and worked east.  First target fell through the scoop.  Not a ring.  Next target on the drawn grid edge BOOM! Tungsten ring.  Elapsed time 45 seconds and Vacation saved!  Much Aloha to Edwin & Paola!
