I was contacted last week about a lost ring. Here is his story in his words
After returning home on a snowy evening I, being the good husband I am, threw a snowball at my wife. When I went to shake the snow off of my hand, my wedding ring flew off of my finger. My wife and I searched for three days with no luck finding it. We had almost given up hope when we found Steve Wagner on the theRingFinders.com website online. We called him and Steve came the next day and found the ring within 10 minutes. Steve was really kind and friendly and did a wonderful job. He really knows what he is doing. We are so happy to have our ring back and would confidently recommend Steve for any circumstance where you need to make use of a metal detector!
Thanks again Steve!
No need to rent a metal detector and trying to figure out how use it, Call/Text Jonathan Hamill 313-683-3082 ASAP to schedule a search.

I received an email about a lost man’s gold wedding ring lost in the snow. We just received about 4 inches of the snow the night before. The ring was lost while removing the snow from the car and shoveling. The ring was somewhere in two snow plies around the cars in the driveway. I was able to come and perform the search the same day. I flatten down the first pile with no luck, then the second pile I got a good beep. Pen pointing closer to the hard snow ball and there was the ring inside. They were very happy to have the ring returned to them. I continued with a prayer and a blessing over this couple.

I received a text message from a fellow sled head Mark B to let me know his neighbour lost his 14k gold wedding band somewhere in the snow and to call him right away.
I call Tony H immediately. He advised that he was shovelling the snow and also walked down the road. He advised that the snow plow had just gone by. It was -7C and within 20 minutes of speaking to Tony H and headed down to Oakville.
As the story goes, Tony took off his gloves and within 5 minutes realized his wedding band came off. I started to grid search the driveway. Tony felt it could have been on the roadway so I continued onto the roadway. After 40 minutes I was drawn back to the driveway as the more questions I asked I felt he lost it when he took off his gloves. Within 5 minutes and 2′ off the driveway in 1′ of snow….BAM! Had a great tone on my Minelab Excalibur 2!! Tony was a great sport and very happy not to sleep outside in the dog house in the frigid temperatures!

I received a phone call on Boxing Day from a couple from Georgetown a community about 20 minutes south of me.
Overnight there was a really nice snowfall. The husband proceeded out to the back garden shed to start up the snowblower for the first time this winter. He didn’t realize that he had the set of keys (house/mailbox/car/car starter) in an unzipped coat pocket. He went to go move the vehicle and couldn’t find his keys. Both husband and wife looked all over the driveway and yard and turned the house upside down. They felt the keys were lost in the snow.
I headed down within the hour, asked some questions and decided to start in the back in front of the garden shed where the husband pulled out the snow blower. He said he had a hard time starting the snow blower.
Both decided to go back into the home to get warm. Within 5 minutes I found the set of located.
They were very happy not to have to waste the money to replace all the keys not to mention what could of happened if an undesirable found them..

I received a phone call from a young man who wishes to remain anonymous.
He mentioned that he was throwing snowballs in the front yard of his rental home and because of the extremely cold weather his 21k gold ring flew off his finger.
I proceed the next day to go immediately after work as it was a short distance away.
I started a grid search using my trusty Minelab Excallibur 2. I took should have had winter gloves on but within 15 minutes and knowing the ring would be just under the snow tucked into the grass I found it!!
He was a very happy young man!!

Received a phone call inquiring if I can metal detect in snow for a lost ring. Of course I said yes. I was unable to make the time frame and sent a local & newly recruited ring finder member Glenn Boles.
I arrived an hour later and offered my assistance.
The client had just left. With-in 10 minutes of her leaving I located her Friend’s missing silver ring. Glenn & I called and asked if she could come back. She offered to bring coffee’s too.
We recreated the motions of finding her Friend’s lost ring. She was overjoyed and advised she will surprise her Friend Christmas Day. The ring was very sentimental.

Hello everyone, my name is Jason Anderson and I just wanted to use my first post to introduce myself and my services. I am a very determined detectorist and am looking forward to helping reunite you with your lost items in the greater Seattle/Bellevue/Eastside areas.
I am available to hunt for all kinds of lost items, not just rings… and I can travel further for searches on a case-by-case basis. I can even do shallow water hunts if need be.
My first case as a Ringfinder occurred this week after Washington got a bit of a snow storm. A woman had lost her rings in the snow after taking her wet gloves off. She was understandably upset and very hopeful I could help find her rings. I was able to travel to her city the next morning and it proved to be a difficult hunt in the snow… but I found her gold & diamond anniversary band! The other ring was still out there but it was getting dark so I scheduled a return trip to continue searching.
Before I could return, the snow quickly melted in the rain and luckily a neighbor found the remaining ring! All’s well that ends well! She was ecstatic and so am I!
Just remember, if you lost your ring or any other metal items that are important to you: Don’t give up hope, and time is of the essence! Give me a call or email me please! I want to help you find your rings, and your smiles! 🙂

My first happy recovery picture! So happy I could help!
It was just one of those mornings with a few minutes before having to leave the house so Amy-Rose went to pull a few weeds and toss them into the woods. With birds singing in the background she did not realize that with the weeds so went the 3 car keys and two remotes. It was noon when I started to search for them, in between the shrubs, with very little room to swing a detector’s coil. However with a 3×18 inch search coil I could “jab” into the foliage. About fifteen minutes into the search my ears were rattled with the sound that was either the keys or a large can…Yes it was the ring of keys. The car could now be driven to the dealer and there would be no tow charge or charge for all the keys. I left with one smiling lady in amazement that I had found the keys.
