Graduation gift found on football field in Downers grove, Il

Got a call last night, a Med Student lost a graduation gift from his grandmother.
Gift was give to him 20 years ago and his grandmother passed away a few weeks ago so this search had a lot of meaning.
He lost it while playing football on the campus field.
My long range locator got me within 10 feet of the target and the Minelab Equinox did the rest.
He was one happy camper and the satisfaction of hitting it for him can’t be described.

Gold Ring recovered in Green Bay field

One of my students was walking his dog in a field and noticed his ring was missing.   He called me, and I covered the area he thought he had lost his ring in for an hour with no luck.   So, I widened the search and found it 10 feet from where it was accidentally flicked off!   Gold rings are heavy, and they do fly!    From frowns to smiles in no time!

Lost Diamond Ring…Found Near Burlington, Iowa

I received a call from Pete last month asking if I could help find his fiancé’s lost engagement ring at the bottom of a farm pond. I said maybe if it wasn’t too deep. He said he thought it was between 3 and 4 feet where she lost it. I said I’ll give it a try.

They have a small boat that they use on this pond and while coming to shore she fell out of the back of the boat. She lost her phone, sunglasses, keys and a 3 carat diamond ring!

The items had been in the water about a week when I got the call and arrived. After getting in with my detector and long handled scoop I found that the bottom was mud and at a slant so it made scooping a little difficult.

The first item recovered was her cell phone. I could feel it with my foot so instead of scooping I just pushed it in the scoop with my foot. The second thing found was her sunglasses. The third thing was the ring and I recovered it by leaning over with my pinpointer and pulling it out with my fingers. After that he didn’t care about the keys anymore!

I’ve been waiting on a picture of the happy couple for the book of smiles but it looks like it might not come so I decided to post without it but I thank him for the generous reward.

I received a call from Jaycee who asked about the service I can provide to help find his wife’s diamond rings lost in the sand on Camp Pendleton. We arranged the best time to meet early at O700 when this particular beach is hardly crowded and occupied this time of day.
Not to mention but this is a bottle cap haven spot with Late night celebrating.

Upon arriving to the scene of the lost rings Jaycee showed me 1 of many private beach area booths & couches,tables, Chairs under a canopy with metal poles staked at 4 corners. We both first moved the couch and chairs as I then began my search. After a few bottle caps with nothing in the center of it I get multiple signals just next to the metal pole legs for the canopy..?
Funny cause the other pole didn’t give me those readings or tones. So I used my foot and kicked 3 piles of sand away from that pole.I saw nothing but heard a couple signals in the gold range on my Metal Detector,Then I scooped it up when sure enough it was only 1 of the rings I was called for. He was shocked how fast I found the first ring SO (BOOM) I scooped up the other ring too,Why NOT? !

This was an amazing story as I was able to help out Not just another marine or civilian cause Jaycee told me afterwards that his specialty is using metal detectors to find Bombs/IED’S 💣 ! And those type of detectors primarily pick up Wire/Explosives etc. This search was definitely rewarding to help out a fellow service member. What a way to honor those who protect our Great country 🇺🇸

Lost Diamond Wedding Band on Private Beach Found and Returned Eastham, MA

August 23rd Connie lost her wedding band just after applying insect repellent to her son. Searching for 2 days, it could not be found. Upon wakening on Saturday morning, Connie took a friend’s advice about TheRingFinders and called me. Two hours later she had the ring back on her finger where it belonged. Was it a coincidence or fate? Connie, her Husband Steven and their son were staying at a home owned by the Browne’s, my last name is Browne, and had lost a Gold ring, their last name is Gold. The ring was found and returned by a Ring Finder. All this on Steven’s birthday. A Happy Day for Everyone!

Wedding ring lost while body surfing in Huntington Beach

I made contact with Amy after I heard that her husband John had lost his ring while body surfing. I met them at the beach around 8pm so John could show me the location. Unfortunately the tide was at it’s high for the day and I could not find it. I told them I would search again when the tide is lower. The next day during the afternoon low tide I was able to locate the ring with my brand new metal detector in about 15 minutes. It was exactly in the area where John said he lost it.

I called Amy with the good news and she came to the beach to pick up the ring. Amy said she was going to wait until John got home to surprise him with the ring.

If you ever need help finding your ring, please don’t post the location of the loss.

Lost iPhone X surprise – FOUND!!!

It’s funny, sometimes you don’t even know you need the RingFinders but… the RingFinders find you.  😃 I was deep in the middle of trying to find Allan and Ami’s wedding band when I came across a great signal worth digging. When I pulled it up I saw that it was an iPhone in a lifeproof case and there was some sort of card holder on the back. I put it in my pack and finished finding Allan’s ring. When my wife and I left, I pulled out the cards to see if there was an id but there were only names on credit cards. My wife went into Facebook detective mode and looked at a few profiles. One girl looked promising but she was living in CA.  However, we saw on a public picture that she had recently done a Spartan run and that was the image on her phone case. 👍. I thought it appropriate to reach out via FB messenger. Victoria quickly replied back and said, “Omg!!! Did you find my phone with my cards?!”. To which I replied, “Haha , yes i did“. Too cool. Well the Rest is boring but to sum it up, I sent an iPhone X and some credit cards to California and Victoria was absolutely thrilled to get them. I think she was most shocked that I found it in deep water, buried 6-7 inches in the sand right where she lost it well over a week before.  I love being able to help people out with my hobby!  😃 Congrats Victoria!!!

Lost Ring in the Gulf – FOUND!!!

This is an awesome ring that I actually recovered a couple of weeks ago but I’ve been waiting to post and keeping it safe until Patrick was able to get back down here from Huntsville, AL.  I love this story because it seems like what I would do if the situation was reversed.  Patrick called me after he and his wife had already gone home and told me that his wife had lost her ring in the Gulf of Mexico 9 days earlier! 😳  They had already contacted their insurance carrier and been told that they had a claim.  Unfortunately, as we all know, when you file a claim your future payments go up.  Most importantly, even though you may be able to pay for a replacement, you can never get back the actual ring that holds so many memories unless you go find it.  That’s why when Patrick and his wife stumbled across TheRingFinders.com and saw my page, they gave me a call.  I was feeling lucky having already found a ring that morning an hour away so I decided to head out to Pensacola Beach late that afternoon.  The people at the Margaritaville hotel were awesome and quickly gave me permission to park so that I could help out one of their previous guests.  When I got down to the beach I thought to myself that this would definitely be a record for wave height if I was able to find it.  I waded in and I was very quickly taking waves over my head (I’m 6’3” 😳) but luckily they were spaced out where I could work and I like a challenge.  Patrick gave fantastic directions over the phone and I must admit that I was surprised when after less than 10 minutes I heard a fantastic signal and I was able to gently scoop up this gorgeous ring buried about 7 inches down.  To say that Patrick was thrilled when I called him is an understatement!  I am so glad that they took a chance and reached out to me even after they thought it was lost forever!  What a great day!

LOST DIAMOND RING FOUND WAIKIKI

This all started when Lana gave me a call early August 8th  and asked if i would help look for her wedding ring which she lost in the water almost a week and a half ago. I let her know that I will do my best and give it a shot. Knowing that Waikiki is a detectors favorite and its been over a week I needed to get down there ASAP and bring along with me help. So, I asked my dad if he would be willing to help and as always… Dad said yes and we were out to Waikiki that very morning. After 4 and 1/2 hours my dad and I came up short. NO ring! We went home knowing we gave it a good scan but there was some variables like tide and there were a lot of people in the water. So, The very next morning I get a gut feeling to go back and look. I drive back out to Waikiki and start looking again. After 45 minutes I get a faint sound and decide to dig it. I dig a big scoop of sand out and toss it on the sea floor and run my coil over the hole. BOOM I get a louder tone and it sounds like gold. A few more digs and I run my coil over the gaping hole in the ocean bed in which i don’t hear anything. So, I run my coil over the mounds of sand that has been removed and BOOM its there. I scoop and whats inside my scoop is a huge size 11 14K White gold with diamonds and a center 2 karat diamond in the middle. I knew I found her ring. As i am on my way back to the shoreline to rinse off I see Hawaii News Now setup by the showers and I ask them if the lady from yesterday is ok? The exchange words and then Billy V from hawaii news now asked the question… Did you find her ring? i said YES! He asked to see it and if it would be ok to let hawaii News Now run a short story about this event. I said yes and the lights went on and then came ACTION! We were able to call Lana and film the good news of HOPE and ALOHA. Well this was definitely GOD orchestrated and the saying is true… ALOHA  IS ALIVE.

Lost Wedding Ring – Pensacola Beach- FOUND!!!

Today was such a cool day because I got to help out a fellow detectorist. 😳👍 Allan and Ami came down for the weekend to celebrate their 16th anniversary and unfortunately Murphy’s Law struck quickly. As they were waiting to check in they decided to wade out in the beautiful Gulf waters. Allan was explaining to Ami that she had to be very careful out in the deeper water because your ring can fall right off your hand. As he touched his left hand to illustrate his point… you guessed it, Kerplunk! Allan’s ring fell straight down in the water and quickly buried in the sand. Luckily they emailed me and although I didn’t get the email until late last night, we touched base first thing this morning. I quickly started getting ready and unfortunately tragedy struck. I badly pulled a muscle in my upper back and had to be helped to lie down. My wife sent Allan and Ami a text explaining that I was hurt and there was no way I could come today. They are very nice people and were more concerned with my health than anything else. I took some Motrin and laid still for a few hours until I dozed off. I woke up and realized that whatever had popped in my back was back where it was supposed to be and although I was really sore, I gingerly went to the front yard to see if I could swing my detector without too much pain. It hurt but I knew Allan and Ami were leaving town at 2pm and I really wanted to send his ring with them. I gave them a call and luckily they were still here and about to have lunch at Pegleg’s. I was quickly enroute to the beach.  Well Allan has done a lot of land detecting and he had tried to mark the location of the ring when it fell and did a great job. I always do a larger area and overlap my passes multiple ways because I have learned what Allan was about to; it’s never where it’s supposed to be in the water. 😃. The first thing I found was an iPhone X in a Lifeproof case complete with multiple credit cards (stay tuned for that return story this week 😉). Although it definitely wasn’t their ring, I think it gave Ami some hope that I really could find stuff buried in the sand out in the water. It wasn’t too many passes before I was worried that Allan might be getting concerned that I was in the wrong area. But then I heard that beautiful sound!!!  I called to Allan and waved him out to join me. He looked shocked when I told him that I thought I had located it and asked if he would like to do the “honors” and “dig it up”. He told me to go ahead and I very gently dug a large scoop full of sand. When I verified with my machine that I had whatever it was in my scoop, I just smiled and handed the scoop to him. Well, he smiled even bigger when he washed out the sand and saw his ring gleaming back at him. It was a great moment when he quickly put that ring back where it belongs and began striding back to Ami to show her that their anniversary weekend just got a whole lot better. 😃

Thank you Allan and Ami for letting me help you and for your patience and understanding when I was hurt this morning. Thank you also to the very nice front desk crew (especially Gillian) at the Holiday Inn Pensacola Beach who allowed me to park on property and even helped us celebrate when Allan showed them his ring!  👍👍👍
