Lost Tiffany Silver Necklace, Found Kits Beach.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Thanks to an anonymous person who contacted a lady on the craigslist in regards to my service, I was able to help her find her lost silver Tiffany necklace that was gifted to her by her mother.

It was a bit of a longshot because the necklace was lost for three days on a very popular beach where everyone metal detects. The other factor was it was lost by a log, and everyone searches the logs. I was a little nervous that someone may have already found the necklace.

We met that evening and I told the young lady the bad news that due to the time that had passed the necklace may have been found already. That being said  I was excited to start the search and I was very hopeful that the necklace was still there.

Within 5 minutes at about 4 inches down I received a soft signal and there it was in my scoop! I was as excited as she was to see it…If it’s there I’ll find it.

Sapphire & Diamonds 18k White Gold Wedding Ring Found Near Coal Creek… Bellevue, WA!!!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

Diamonds and sapphires in white gold!

I got a call from Randy who lost his ring sometime last month while driving to a jobsite. Apparently he had removed his ring and put it into a cup (with some liquid) in his console. Sometime later, he forgot it was in there and he tossed the contents out the window as he was driving around the bend to one of his worksites!!!

Luckily Randy remembered seeing a Ringfinders Facebook post that featured my previous find and looked me up! He remembered the turn on the road and gave me a general area to look for his ring.

I searched the side of the road for some time… After gridding the area he pointed out, I extended my search area. He was close in proximity but it was a bit further than he remembered. I found it! A beautiful white gold ring with some really cool sapphires and diamonds!

Roadside Recovery!

Lost gold ring found back in May near Reading

I recovered this gold ring after and extensive search of a garden near Reading, the compost pile had been scanned along with all the beds and under every bush etc. At first I hit a signal but it was too deep but I had to investigate as you do. This was a real bonus as out popped a lovely silver ring the the gents wife was very fond of so she kept it. Sorry but no pictures for this one.

A few hours later while searching in the vegetable patch I found the rather large gold ring! A very happy Professor!

Lost Platinum & Diamond Earring Found In Woodinville, WA!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

« Undetectable » Diamond & Platinum Earring Recovered… Just Barely!

Today’s recovery was for a lady who lost her impressive diamond stud earring while staining her deck a few days ago. She at some point took off her dust mask which probably caught her earring and flung it off into the unknown! She noticed the back landed in between the boards, and then realized her loss.

After her and her husband scoured the yard, and squeezed under the deck to look for it, they tried renting a metal detector. They found out quickly, though, stud earrings are very hard to detect because they contain so little actual metal. In fact, their rental unit could not even detect it when they passed it over the 2nd earring.

I had confidence that at least one of my machines should be able to outperform this rental unit and headed out with all 3. After testing on the other earring, I was pretty surprised to find my 2 most expensive detectors would not detect this target!

My least expensive unit did, but just a barely audible sound would come through, and only occasionally. I started getting pretty nervous that this hunt would be unsuccessful.

To make matters worse, the lawn area around the deck was littered with nails from the sloppy contractor who built it. I was getting a pretty sinking feeling, but I was determined to at least try. Many nails were pulled out of the ground, so I could concentrate on the whisper that the earring MIGHT give me.

Somehow, someway, I managed to pass over a quiet target and it was the earring! We were both so amazed and relieved, and glad that I have a few types of machines in my arsenal!

So little metal to detect!

NEARLY Undetectable Platinum & Diamond Stud! Slightly dirty but undamaged!

AT Pro saves the day!

Diamond pair reunited!

SUCCESSFUL RING RECOVERY ON ST. PETERSBURG BEACH, FLORIDA

Dan & Erin were at St. Pete Beach enjoying a hot August summer day. Erin had decided to take her rings off so as not to lose them in the water.   After leaving the beach, Erin noticed her rings were missing and remembered she had taken them off on the beach and put them on the towel. Dan & Erin went back to look but had no luck. A quick Google search connected them with SRARC team member, Mike Shuler.  Mike made arrangements to meet the couple at the beach at noon that same day.   A few sweeps of the coil and the ring was found within minutes! Erin was ecstatic to have her rings back on her finger. Great work Mike, keep those smiles coming!

WITH HELP FROM FACEBOOK, SUCCESSFUL CLASS RING RETURN ON CLEARWATER BEACH, FLORIDA

Jhazmine was throwing a ball in the water on Clearwater Beach, when her 2006 gold class ring slipped off her finger!  The ring was very special to Jhazmine as her father had given it to her.  A week later, Howard Metts was on a fun hunt in the water at Clearwater Beach and found a gold 2006 class ring, with no school name on it, only the name « Jhazmine » and three initials on the inside.  Howard showed the ring to his daughter-in-law, Veronica Metts, who searched for « Jhazmine » on Facebook, and using the last initial on the ring, found a possible match!  Veronica sent Jhazmine a Facebook message asking if she had lost anything at Clearwater Beach.  Jhazmine responded the next day!  A few days later, Howard delivered the ring to a very happy Jhazmine at her place of work making for a great reunion! Go Team Metts! That’s how you do it! Great sleuthing and effort to both of you!

Family Heirloom Ring Recovered on Indian Rocks Beach, Florida

Future Florida residents, Mike and Courtney Chenkus, were relaxing on the beach at Indian Rocks and decided to have some fun tossing a football. Mike was about waist deep and tossing the ball when he was hit by a large wave and felt his wedding ring slide off his finger, disappearing into the Gulf.  The ring had previously belonged to Mike’s father and was over 50 years old, a true family treasure.  While devastated by the loss, Mike and Courtney did what they could to mark the location. Later that evening, Mike Googled « lost ring Clearwater » and found the SRARC website. After speaking with team member, Stan Flack, Stan reached out to team member Ed Osmar. Ed & Mike then arranged a hunt. Mike described where he thought the ring was lost. Ed factored in the tide change and conditions and after about 30 minutes was happily returning the ring to Mike! Courtney happened to be videoing the special moment on her cell phone! The entire family was extremely grateful and excited to see the ring back on Mike’s hand! Nice work, Ed!
