West Dennis Beach, MA – Gives Back Lost Silver Ring

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

August 27, 2021:
Andrea lost her Wave, Sand and Sea ring while walking the shoreline. For six years the ring had brought Andrea many calming and wondrous thoughts of Cape Cod and its beaches. The loss had happened in the presence of her sister who had lost an earring a few years ago but had forgotten who and how to contact for help. She did called a mutual friend who contacted me. I called and set up a meet to search for the lost ring.

Both women marked the area that the ring was lost at the previous day. Seaweed made it near impossible to swing a detector’s coil, but I managed only to finish the area with out finding the ring. I expanded the search area and within another five minutes I had found the ring.

All that was left to do in the fading sunlight was to snap a few pictures, get a bit of information for the blog, and exchange a few stories. It was a perfect ending to a very hot day on Cape Cod, another “Beautiful Place To Be”.

Lost and Found 14k engagement ring, Green Bay, WI

  • from Green Bay (Wisconsin, United States)

I received a call and message from Somer the afternoon of Saturday, October 30th, 2020 (Halloween mind you) sharing she lost her engagement ring in the front yard of her residence. She explained to me the night before friends were over for a social gathering. Somer mentioned she took her ring off to show one of her friends. The friend gave it back while Somer was getting her mail from the mailbox during the evening hours. She decided to put the ring on the mail instead of back on her finger. Well, the ring fell off the mail into the grass (so she strongly believed and thought!) Somer and her fiancé, Nate, spend a better part of the day on their hands and knees looking for ring without success. So, I took my trusty CTX 3030 and began swinging my machine with a small coil since there was a lot of targets in the yard and very close together. My first target rang up “gold” and on the surface…Somer was excited thinking and believing it was her ring…I did too…wrong!!…just under the eyesight of the grass, up popped a nickel. Both Somer and I were thoroughly disappointed. I continued detecting and digging anything that was noting on my machine 2” or less knowing and expecting a surface find. While I was doing my part searching the grass meticulously and the path Somer took from the mailbox to the garage, Nate was meandering on the road near the mailbox, he saw the ring near a manhole cover…right out in the open. None of us have any idea how the ring found its way from the mailbox on the street and not on the grass. Though, I did not find the ring directly, I’d like to believe I shared in the success of rescuing. Ring found and put back on Somer’s hand. She was ecstatic and was a team effort to find. We wish Somer and Nate many wonderful future memories in the years to come. Somer was uncomfortable having her face posted. GB Ring Pic 103020

Unearthing Memories: The Tale of Aaron’s Lost Wedding Ring at Silver Strand beach Oxnard

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)
Dave MacDonald Finds Lost Ring in the Sand at Silverstrand Beach
Last week, Aaron texted me a desperate plea: his Palladium wedding ring had slipped into the ocean’s sandy depths at Silverstrand Beach near Oxnard Beach. As Dave MacDonald Ringfinder, a proud member of The Ringfinders at davetheringfinder.com, I specialize in recovering a lost ring in the sand across Hollywood Beach, Mandalay Beach, and beyond. A week had passed, but I knew the challenge—daunting yet doable—was mine to conquer.
Timing is everything for lost ring in the sand recoveries. A -1.0 low tide on August 21st offered hope, so I hit Silverstrand Beach before dawn. With Aaron’s approximate location and my metal detector, I gridded the wet sand—a method perfected at Port Hueneme Beach and Ventura State Beaches. Darkness cloaked Oxnard Beach’s shores, but my resolve shone bright. Hours in, a sharp signal cut through—a glimmer of promise. Scooping the sand near Mandalay Beach-like tides, I found it: Aaron’s ring, gleaming in my scoop.
Dawn lit up the victory. Aaron’s gratitude echoed from Hollywood Beach to Ventura State Beaches, proving why I’m the go-to for lost ring in the sand recoveries.

BIG Diamond Ring Found in Va Beach!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I got a call about a lost platinum ring with a large diamond. It was lost at night close to high tide in the water. I knew low tide was coming up and it would probably be dry in that area when I arrived. My friend Gene was already down there and he helped me search for the ring. After 2 hours I got a hit in the range I thought it would be. BAM! The video will be on Gigmaster on youtube!

Got a text message the other night in regards to a Lost Ring in a volleyball court, this will be my third this year and so far I was two for two. I talk to the young man and asked him the questions I needed to know before I showed up, in regards to the search. He told me his friends searched for a long time into the dark and he bought a Metal Detector but still couldn’t find the ring.

We arrange to meet the next morning at 10 AM when the manager open the gate, even though he had bought a Metal Detector and his friends had search I knew my chances were great. After setting up my search I decided not to use my sand scoop in order to surprise him with the find, it took about 10 minutes and I found his beautiful white gold wedding band and I was able to surprise him.

We go the extra mile to find your Smile!

Lost Ring before Tropical Storm – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Yesterday morning as we were all preparing for the possibility of Tropical Storm Fred getting closer to us, I got a call. Deborah and her family were down from Birmingham to witness her son Thomas get married on the beach the day before. Everything went great but the young man who was kind enough to act as ring bearer got a little over zealous on his walk to the alter. Even though both rings were tied  to the pillow, somewhere between the boardwalk and the place where the bridal party were standing, the bride’s rose gold and diamond band disappeared. 😳  Luckily, Deborah reached out to me promptly and understood that we needed to find it quickly before those waves in the gulf got closer and closer. I was already in the area and agreed to meet Thomas for a debrief of where everyone was standing. I used my largest coil and was able to cover a lot of ground while Thomas ran back to his car for something. I think he was surprised to see that by the time he got back I was already taking pictures of the ring with the big seas in the background. He was thrilled to have his new bride’s ring back and quickly called his family to tell them the good news. Congratulations to you all. I’m very glad I was able to help make a great ending to a story I know you will tell for years to come. God Bless! 😃

LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING IN HAZENMORE, SASKATCHEWAN FARM YARD

  • from Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan, Canada)

Karrie husband was reading the Costco Connection when he read the article Hunting treasures. He searched the Ring Finders and contacted me.   Karrie had lost her wedding ring  so 30 days prior while playing catch with her daughter in the back yard. the ring was on her glove hand and was thought to be lost when she had to remove the glove to retrieve the ball from under the evergreen trees.  They had purchased a metal detector but could find the ring.

We made arrangements to meet.  I did a search of the evergreen trees on both sides of the yard and grid search of the main area of the yard. I was into the second  hour of the search and got a  great tone and 49 VDI  in the 2 in depth the ring was covered by the grass. Karrie was very happy to get the lost ring back on her finger.

This has to be one of the best feelings to return a precious lost item to someone that may have given up all hope of ever seeing it again.

Sentimental Lost Rings Found Atlantic Beach, NC By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Kelly started to send me vague questions about my service and what was required from her.  It was a very busy day for me and I also had plans to search for a lost ring the next morning.  Once she gave more details about where she had lost an heirloom gold diamond ring and also a second gold aquamarine ring from her father, I was started to worry as they were very close to a busy section of beach.  I had made plans to sacrifice some sleep to arrive at Atlantic Beach a few hours before heading to my morning appointment in New Bern, NC.  As I knew my search time was short, I « phoned a friend » to assist with the hunt.  Justin and I started at the area Kelly had marked very well with pictures, illustrations and landmarks.  Justin began hunting the upper section of the recently replenished beach that was full of small pieces of aluminum as I worked from the high tide line.  It only took about 30 minutes until Justin was able to winkle out Kelly’s two beautiful rings!  Kelly informed us that she worked in New Bern so we still had time to hand deliver her recently found rings before heading to my previous planned location.

Lost Engagement Ring From Emerald Isle Pier Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Well, Dog Gone!

Jayme was on the Sound side of Emerald Isle on a hot sunny day.  She removed her ring to apply sunscreen and placed it onto the blanket on the bench.  A small dog that came along for a swim was also on the bench and moved the towel causing the ring to fall between the pier slots and into the murky waters.  A plea on Facebook once again helped connect Jayme with Crystal Coast Ring Finders a proud member of the global organization The Ring Finders.  I quickly went to work in he hip deep water and after numerous iron signals, my Minelab CTX-3030 located a non-ferrous item near the drop area.  I used my pinpointer to go underwater and felt it vibrate all of the way back out of the water with Jayme’s engagement ring in hand!  Jayme’s tears were a sure sign of how important this sign of love means to her!
