Wedding ring lost in the sand, Ortley Beach NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

CALL ASAP 609-713-3926  https://njringfinder.com Nam called wondering if I would be able to help find a wedding ring that slipped off her finger. They were enjoying a fantastic day at the beach when one of the guys in their group went into the water. He took off his wedding ring and handed it to Nam, so he didn’t loose it in the ocean. She place it on her thumb as it was quite large, and headed back to the area all friends were sitting. After a short while Nam realized the ring was missing, and it must have slipped off her thumb, due to it being quite large. This happens often, as its not something your used to wearing.  Anyhow, we decided it would be best if I came out right away, even though the beach was packed, because she was certain of the few spots it could be. I parked my truck at their house, and we walked down to the beach, and holly cow was it ever packed. I told her to walk the exact same path and I would follow right behind. I was getting signals from every chair, umbrella, etc, all the way along the path, but nothing that sounded like the ring we were searching for.  When we got to the spot where she was sitting, I searched that entire area and still came up empty handed. A few people graciously moved back a bit and bingo, there it was, very close to a chair that had overpowered the signal of the ring. The entire area gave an applause of success, like being on the edge of your seat in a movie. It was lunch time, so everyone walked back to the house, where I gladly accepted their offer for some lunch and a cold drink.

Lost cross and chain in the sand, Lavallette NJ, OB3, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Ed called about his beautiful chain and cross that disappeared into the sand while they were at the beach. He had given it to his wife for safe keeping while he went in the water. Somehow during a fantastic beach day it went missing. Ed explained the only place it could be was in the area of their towels and chairs, and positively not in the water. I arranged to meet Ed and his family on the beach in Lavallette, later that evening when some of the traffic cleared. They had already marked out the area, which had some fixed landmarks close by, and are always a big plus. I boxed out the perimeter, and when I got to the original starting point, and turned in just a bit to take my second swipe, I got a nice low steady signal that had cross and chain singing in my  headphones. Bingo !!! just as I thought, it was in the scoop. The chain had snuck through the scoop, which his wife quickly spotted shining in the light.

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)
Got a call from Camille Saturday evening. She had lost her bangle bracelet, but wasn’t sure where. She did have a picture from the night before, which was taken on Brant Beach (LBI) NJ. We figured that was a good place to start. They marked the location in google maps and sent it to me. I arrived at the beach ASAP and after about 1 1/2 hrs. I had no luck finding it. She came down to look where I had been, and we made a few adjustments to the search location. Within 15 min. I had one half of this beautiful Cartier love bracelet in my scoop, and about 10 min later both half’s were safely in my pouch. I walked up to the house to meet her, and told her she wasn’t in the spot she believed she was. With that said, Camille looked down and said, « I guess you had no luck ». I replied, « you were 10′ over » and handed her the bracelet. What a weekend, her birthday was Saturday, her lost bracelet was found, and today her grandson is expected to arrive!!!!!!!!!.

He and his wife searched for a while and decided to call in a professional metal detector. He had the spot marked perfectly, and a few swings later I had the ring. WELL, while cleaning off the sand I dropped it and had to find it again. Much to my surprise, it was 7-8″ down. Just shows you how deep they can go.

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Barbara, she was pretty upset after losing her beautiful wedding.  We talked for a bit and determined it must be right around her car in the driveway, hiding somewhere in the small stones in the driveway. I told her not to move the car, and don’t walk around in the stones which could cause possible damage to her ring. After just a short while the ring was back on her finger.

I was contacted by Nicole about her husbands lost wedding band. She explained they had removed the ring, and while handing to her , It dropped into the surf. After gathering all pertinent information, I went to recover it on the next low tide. Unfortunately after about an hour or so I came up empty handed. I knew this ring wouldn’t stay long in the surf so I went early the next morning for low tide. After about 20 minutes the ring was in the scoop.
