Wedding ring + boat dock = oops!

Jordon’s beautiful wedding ring was accidentally pulled from her husband’s back pocket when he reached for his phone.  Luckily,  their boat had been tied to the dock so the ring hit the edge of the boat and fell into the water.  Her husband immediately jumped in after the ring but could only stay in for a very short period of time b/c of the water temperature…cold!  He contacted us and by Don using his scuba gear was able to dive down and stay until the ring was found.  Great day in Oklahoma!!

Emerald Isle, NC: Wedding Ring Lost In Sand Found And Returned

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Lauren & Rick were spending some time along the Crystal Coast. While staying in a beach house rental, Rick gave his wife his wedding ring to hold while he took a dip in the ocean. Lauren placed his ring on her finger and stayed on the beach with their puppy. The pup made a sudden move towards Rick and the lunge caused his wedding ring to go flying into the sand.
12 days later, Lauren contacted me and I headed out that day. A lot of favorable conditions made this recovery possible.

I received a call from Holly yesterday afternoon to help search for her engagement ring that was lost the previous evening in the grass. She tried searching with a metal detector but was unable to find it, and that was when she reached out to me. After getting some information from her, I headed up to Galloway, NJ to search for the white gold engagement ring. Shortly after I started to search the grassy area, the ring was found!

On the official first day of summer Viola lost her platinum wedding band in the ocean while tossing a football on the beach in Cape May, NJ. After realizing that her ring had fallen off in the water, she saw a fellow metal detectorist combing the beach who referred her to me.  We set a time to meet and search for the ring.  The search began in waist deep water in the ocean and after a quick but though search, the ring was found 20 minutes later! The ring was recovered and returned to its owner!

Received a call from Frankie Monday 6-15-20 about his wife’s wedding ring. He had said she lost in the lake in bout four foot of water I said ok we’ll find it. Got there as quick as I could. Took a 15 minute boat ride to a very quite cove. I said ok tell me again wat happened. I listened to what she said nothing changed from her story before. No luck Monday so decided to try again Wednesday after work so decided to take a half day of work. Jamie (frankies wife) said she brought her own scoop. Yup this is what she brought wait don’t laugh. When we got back to the spot Wednesday and I started looking again in an expanded area. Two hours in the search still nothing I said I can’t believe we haven’t found your ring Jamie. I’m not kidding about an hour later guess what she found with her scoop she brought from home yes (using my extra equipment) – she found her own ring. I thought no way she was in a completely different area. I said how kool I’m glad you found it. That made it more special to her. Thanks Jamie and Frankie for getting ahold of me when you did. .

Beautiful, Sentimental Gold Wedding Band found and returned in Delaware County, PA

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Received and email from Jestine on June 17, 2020 asking for help with a lost ring. Apparently she was holding the beautiful, vintage gold band for a friend while playing Cornhole in her backyard. Turns out the ring was a family heirloom that went back generations. After purchasing a metal detector and trying to find the ring herself over the course of several hours she gave up and consulted the Ring Finders directory. After getting the call and heading in her direction, she lives in Aldan, PA, I gave a call to my bud and fellow Ring Finder, John Favano to see if he wanted to join me for the search. We met there 30 minutes later and met Jestine in her backyard….it was a small backyard with high grass. She walked us through step by step what happened with the lost ring and we got to work. I had barely turned my machine on when I saw a funny smile on John’s face…it took him less then 3 minutes to find the ring! It was a beauty as was Jestine’s reaction when we put it back in her hand.

Lost Ring Found… Williamsburg, Iowa

Contact:

I found a ring today for the mother of a friend of mine. She was pulling weeds in her strawberry patch and garden and tossing them, the ring must have gone too.

It’s a different kind of ring because there is a latch on it. She hurt one of her fingers and this was a way she could slip the ring on her finger without more pain. Unfortunately the latch would catch on things and open.

It is a gold ring with three diamonds and she was very happy to have it back.

Lost Wedding Ring On The Beach At Pine Knoll Shores Found With Metal Detector, Returned

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

On Steven’s birthday (Friday), Steven’s family met up with two other sets of friends to celebrate the fact that all 3 families had children born last year and were planning to make this an annual family vacation.  Pine Knoll Shores, NC’s ocean beach was the site of the first celebration.  Steven did not want to chance losing his ring in the ocean so he placed it in a « secure » bag.  While packing up gear on the beach to head back to his car, he grabbed the ring bag and picked up his 8 month old and proceeded back to the car.  Once he arrived at the walkway over the dunes, he noticed the bag was empty.  Sunday morning, Steven had found TheRingFinders.com and contacted me.  I had the impression that Steven did not have much hope of finding his platinum ring now lost 2 days.  The search area was long and it took about 2 hours before the solid tone on my Minelab CTX-3030 metal detector warned me to stop and investigate.  Steven had just left to get his family something to eat but gladly returned to accept a link to his family!

Custom Made Knife slips into Lake Bridgeport, Texas

Watch Video of Actual Recovery here: https://youtu.be/H7b4d2Rarvg

We received a call from an individual that had a rather odd request as the item lost was not jewelry, it was a very special one-of-a-kind, specially made fish filet knife that meant more to her husband than any of his other knives.  It was a 40th yr anniversary present, none like any other he’d ever received.     Magnet-fishing attempts to retrieve the knife from the 13-15 ft water depth were unsuccessful as the lake bottom held the support beams for their boathouse which was metal also.  Since the magnet-fishing did not work we were then contacted for help.  After deciding on a date/time for us to come out and dive for the knife, we loaded up all of the scuba equipment and headed to Lake Bridgeport, TX.  This fun hunt was cut short because the item was found within 10 minutes of being in the water.  The act of suiting up in the scuba gear and submerging into the water took longer than the actual find.  Now the knife is back on dry land where it belongs and we have a couple of very happy friends.

I received a call from an individual who said he had a problem.  He bought an engagement ring, made the proposal (she said Yes!!), a celebration party and accidentally lost the ring all in the same day!  He was beside himself and even went to the trouble of purchasing a metal detecting unit but was unsuccessful after hours of looking; 15 other individuals were trying to help but nope, no ring was recovered on that acre lot in Kaufman, Texas.   Looking on the internet brought him to our website and we scheduled a designated time to meet so we could use our 15-year expertise to do a search.  What began as ‘I hope it’s found’ turned to pure elation in about a 45 minute search with success.
