Found Tungsten Wedding Ring in St. Phillip’s, NL

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

I received a call from a man who was doing a lot of gardening the day before and realized when he was done that his wedding band was missing.  Instead of digging up all of his hard work, he called me and in less than 10 minutes I was able to locate and return his ring.  Another happy customer!

Found White Gold Diamond Engagement Ring in Mount Pearl, NL

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

I received a call from a man who was in need of help looking for his fiance’s engagement ring.  She had dropped it between the driveway and their front door but couldn’t locate it.  He purchased a metal detector and pinpointer but had no luck.  On the first night I searched the general area where they thought it was lost until the sun went down and I came up empty-handed.  On the second trip I took apart their front deck to scour underneath but still no luck!  After about 45 minutes searching under trees and pine needles I decided to expand my search to grass along the side of the property and with the pinpointer I was able to find a very beautiful ring and make a couple very happy.  What a feeling when you find something valuable and see the smile that it creates!

This ring find started when I got a call from John who was on vacation from Littleton, Colorado. While taking a dip in the lagoon the day before his Wedding Band fell off. For several hours many tourists at the resort tried searching for the ring with no luck. That’s when John got my name and number from the resort staff. I agreed to meet him at the lagoon Monday morning for a search. When I arrived John was waiting. He helped me mark the grid then I told him to relax on the beach. I headed out to chest deep water on the first leg and when I did an about face to start the return leg I got a great tone. One scoop and there was John’s ring. Elapsed time 2 minutes. Needless to say John was astonished with the quick recovery and gratefully thanked me for getting him out of the dog house. Aloha to John.

White Gold Wedding Ring With Diamond Lost at Manhattan Beach, CA…Found and Returned With Joyfulness.

Valerie Contacted me yesterday about the loss of her wedding ring. I was available, and told her I would be there in 30 minutes. She had taken the ring off so she could go into the water, and when trying to place it in her phone case, it fell into the sand. When she had traveled a little while in the sand towards the water she looked again, and her ring was gone. She started to look in the most obvious place in the sand with her fingers, but the expanse of sand was so great it looked like a hopeless cause. She found me on TheRingFinders.com web site, and gave me a call.

When I got there, I asked my questions trying to narrow down the search area, but when Valerie explained to me what happened, I realized the area was rather large. I began my search where she had begun hers thinking she had the best idea of where the ring might have fallen into the sand. No luck with that, so I kept expanding out from that area all the way back to the area she had removed her ring, about 2 1/2 hours; nothing but a bunch of bottle caps, and a few coins. I then decided to do a cross grid, knowing that sometimes a ring may sound off in a different passing of the detector’s coil over the area. We both knew the ring was there from her experience, so the cross grid was the only answer. About 20 minutes later I got a solid hit in the earphones, and had her ring in the scoop. It was so good to see Varerie’s excitement when I held up her ring as she ran over to receive it. It is such a joy to restore the joy in others. Persistence is the key in some of these searches, so don’t forget to make sure the ground is covered completely when doing a search.

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard, using the most up to date metal detectors, to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

First Ring With My New Metal Detector

  • from Webster Springs (West Virginia, United States)

The most important tool ring finders have is our metal detectors. A treasure hunter without a metal detector is like an angler without a fishing rod. Metal detectors come in many shapes and sizes, for many different uses. Personally I like to use American made detectors. I have been a metal detectorist for over twenty years now, and a diehard fan of White’s metal detectors. I currently own five White’s detectors and have owned several others in the passed. For several years now I have been waiting for White’s Electronics to make a rugged light weight all terrain metal detector that would rival the Garrett AT Pro. This summer the answer to the AT Pro came in the form of the White’s MX Sport, witch surpasses all of my expectations, and leaves the Garrett in its dust. It dose everything the AT Pro can do, and more. Plus, it does it better, and it has a easy to learn user interface that makes the machine friendly enough for beginners. I wrote this review to share my first major find with the MX Sport. After only having the new detector out of the box for less than an hour I found a 14 karat gold ring at the local park. I know this isn’t the norm and one doesn’t find rings ever time they go out, but after having the machine for a couple of months now, and logging several hundred hours with it, I am still very satisfied with it, and would recommend this detector to experienced detectoris as well as anyone looking to get into the hobby for the first time.image

Lost Engagement Ring Found In The Bay At Ocean City, Maryland

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)

On 08/21/16, I received a call from Tom requesting my help in locating an engagement ring that had been lost in the waters of the bay in Ocean City, Maryland. I learned that Tom and Michelle had been engaged on 08/12/16 and while visiting the Ocean City, Maryland area the ring had been lost in the bay on 08/20/16 at 6:30 pm. Tom and Michelle had ridden a jet ski from the residence that they were staying at over to a local restaurant, while sitting on the jet ski Michelle decided to place her engagement on her necklace chain for safe keeping. Before Michelle could get the ring on her necklace chain it slipped out of her hand and fell into the water. Tom made arraignments with the local restaurant to allow me to search for the ring on 08/22/16 at 7:00 am as the ring had been lost in the water just off of the beach of the restaurant. Upon arriving at the search location, Tom and Michelle took me to the area where the ring had been lost. The ring had been lost in about two feet of dark murky water right in the area where  jet skis had been docked. After Tom pointed out the area of the lost ring I placed four markers in an area measuring about six feet by six feet. In that area I recovered four beverage pull tabs, during a search I dig all targets just in case. I also showed Tom and Michelle all four tabs as I recovered each one. I then started to work the area of deeper water away from the beach at which time Tom told me that he felt the that ring had been lost closer to the beach. I adjusted my search at which time I began to search the outside area of where I had placed the first marker. Just as I began to search next to the first marker the sound that I was waiting for came through my headset. I then recovered the ring and as I pulled it out of my sand scoop I revealed the prize to Tom and Michelle who were truly grateful for the return of the ring. Congratulations to Tom and Michelle on their engagement. seecrets-oc-md.

Lost ring at Coronado found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Laura was at the beach with friends and lost her wedding ring. She had taken off all her jewelry and had placed them in her bag. Through the course of the day she removed items from the bag and the ring must have accidentally come out with them. At one point, the blanket was dragged 30 feet downwind to get a good shaking to remove the accumulated sand. Once she realized that her ring wasn’t in the bag anymore, the search was on. Soft sand and fairly large possible search area = no success. One of her friends went online seeking help and TheRingFinders.com popped up. I got the call and gathered my gear for hopefully a quick search. I’d been out all morning detecting in the 100 degree heat, so, I was hoping for an easy one. After gathering all the info I could, I had them move a bit of their gear so I could start my grid. After a quarter and a few pieces of scrap metal, I got a low tone right at the edge of the supposed search area. After the sand drained out of my scoop, I see a nice diamond ring matching her description. Cheers go up as everyone realized that it had been found along with a couple of heartfelt hugs. A pleasure to meet you all and thank you for the reward. Now, time for A/C and a cold one!

Lost Tungsten Carbide Ring .. Newport Beach, CA. .. Found in Sand

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Mohammad had challenged his brother to a running race across the sand to the water. He twisted his ankle in the soft sand falling down. At that moment he felt his ring slip off his finger. After the loss they spent several hours trying to find it with their fingers.
His friend Sama, found my number on line, calling me to ask if I could help them. I had just finished finding a ring in San Clemente. It would take me about 40 minutes to get to their location. She agreed to wait even though it was getting dark.
The area where the ring was lost was in dry sand in mid beach. The most important thing was, Mohammad had the location very well marked, 40 paces from the cement walk way and 20 paces from the trash can. The perfect search conditions, most times people get confused and can’t get back to the spot. It wasn’t long till I had the ring and both Mohammad and Sama were on their way home.. It would be nice if all searches were like this. This was also another time I had to hear,  » I didn’t know TheRingFinders directory existed ». Thanks to the Internet, Sama was able to find TheRingFinders when she Google searched, how to find a ring in the sand..

Lose something? A Ring Finder May Be Able To Help.

  • from Webster Springs (West Virginia, United States)

imageMost people who lose their rings will do most anything to get them back; including going and buying a metal detector. I am not trying to discourage anyone from doing this because metal detecting is a great hobby. However, many of the ring finders on this site are willing to find your rings for free. They will more than likely have a lot more success at finding the ring than someone who is new to the hobby. There is a lot of work involved in learning to use a detector correctly. No mater what your experience level, I recommend using any new metal detector for at least forty hours before you can use it with confidence and proficiency. Another thing to realize is that it takes a lot of patience to find rings, and I mean a lot of patience. It has been said that to find a ring you will have to dig up at least one hundred pull tabs, but sometimes it’s more like a thousand. This is another reason you should defiantly take advantage or these friendly strangers at Ring Finders who are willing to do this work for you at little to no cost. For anyone still interested in starting a new hobby call up a Ring Finder they are knowledgeable about equipment and can get you pointed in the right direction and help you get started.

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Montpelier Vermont

  • from Barre (Vermont, United States)

Last week I got an email from a guy who lost his wedding ring. His dogs go to work with him and around 11:00 each day he takes them for a walk on nearby trails in the woods. While driving home, he noticed his ring was missing from his finger. It had been getting tight on his fourth finger so he was wearing it on his pinky until he could get it resized. He had been wearing it every day for over 20 years, so it was hard to have it missing.
We made arrangements to meet on a day that he was in town, and do the initial search together so he could show me the areas he had been with the dogs. I asked the usual detective questions like did he fall anywhere, or did he throw a stick or ball for them, etc. He did remember one area where he had to hang onto his energetic dogs while a strange dog walked by. So, I suggested we concentrate there first. After a quick search near his office, we went up to that spot. A nice strong signal rang out and I reached down with the pinpointer. There it was, out of sight, pushed down into the soft soil by someone stepping on it. We cleaned it up and it was still in perfect condition. Sure seemed nice to have it back where it belonged, he was very happy and so was I! I love these successful searches!

I received a very nice thank you letter from him:
« Mike, I cannot tell you how many people have heard this story and were amazed (myself included). You are a good man and are doing a great thing……I will never be able to look at the ring again without thinking of this. Thanks again »
