Received a call from Tyler requesting my service to locate his wedding band which he lost while raking leaves on the weekend with his son in his back yard,  he had no idea where he lost it but he knew he had it on in the back yard.

After asking Tyler a few questions I agreed to do a search for his ring! Told Tyler I would be there around 2 pm to begin the search Tyler said he was not able to be there but his wife would be home.

I arrived at his house and his wife Calli meet me at the door she showed me the back yard and said Tyler was raking the leaves and he had piled the leaves into a pile also had bagged a few leaves into a clear plastic bags about four bags of leaves.

I started my search at a pile of leaves to rule that pile out and yes no ring in that pile then Calli brought me one bag and said they had shook the bag and  if the ring was there it would have fallen to the bottom but they could not see the ring.

I Scand the bag and bingo the ring was in the bag! Calli said they had search for about three hours on the weekend for the ring with no luck.

Thank you Tyler and Calli for allowing me to locate your lost Ring.

Bay Area Ring Finders: Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

Saedah was in an obvious panic when she lost her diamond engagement/wedding ring off the deck and into the lake at a Bay Area restaurant!  She admitted to locating THERINGFINDERS.COM website and proceeding to contact just about every member in the Bay Area for help.  Once word got to me, the idea of performing only my 2nd request for a water recovery this year was appealing.  It was late in the evening and I wouldn’t be available until mid-day the following afternoon, but I agreed to sign on to the task.

The details as to where the ring fell into the lake were really good, however the depth was left a bit ambiguous.  Not knowing this piece of the puzzle, I packed an enormous amount of equipment for the recovery.  When I showed up to the location I used a tape measure to check the depth of the water near the site Saedah noted the ring was lost.  It was just under 5 feet in depth but dropped off steep.  I decided to make an attempt without a ton of gear and took just a scoop and the Equinox 800.  I located a CLOSED for CONSTRUCTION boat dock to access the water from and slid into the water.  Making it half the distance to the location of the missing diamond ring, I turned back to grab a mask and snorkel.

Once in the location underneath where Saedah and friends were sitting prior to the loss of the ring, it took only seconds to recover it.  We had MADE THE RECOVERY!!!

As I emerged from the lake with my gear and the missing ring, patrons of the restaurant clapped and congratulated me.  The manager stated that a lot of phones, rings, eating utensils and other things often end up in the lake along the deck, but this was the first time he had heard of anything being recovered.  I sent Saedah a picture of the ring and then called… she was overjoyed that the ring was found and safe and set out to meet me at the location.  This was an excellent way to start the weekend!

I wanted to thank Saedah for trusting me with the recovery of her meaningful and precious ring.  And also to all of the other Ring Finders who helped point her in my direction!  I consider this a win for all of us, Thank you!

The boat dock from which I entered the water and the deck the missing ring was lost off of.

Freshly recovered from the lake!

The recovered ring!

How to find a lost ring in the sand

Brian was at the back of a home in Ventnor, NJ, which was nearing completion. Suddenly, a wasp attempted to sting him, but he managed to swat it away. However, in the process, his wedding band slipped off and landed in the sandy mixture on the ground. Brian attempted to locate the lost ring using a metal detector but was unsuccessful. As a result, he reached out to me for assistance. I arrived at the scene, and after conducting a thorough search, I successfully located the missing ring.

Pendant lost in Palm City found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Tyler was playing ball at his schools soccer/football field when his necklace was snagged, broken, and his gold pendant fell into the turf. A search ensued, but, it wasn’t found. His mom Michelle talked with the groundskeeper who claimed to have a metal detector and would help them. This delayed a search for 3 weeks while the groundskeeper looked for his detector without success. Michelle then found TheRingFinders.com online and contacted me for help. We met early the next morning at the school and they escorted me to the proper field and probably loss location. I expected lots of misc junk on this decades old school, but, the field was pleasantly free of it for the most part. I started with a large coil to try and cover the fairly large search area more quickly. I’d use a smaller coil if necessary as the pendant was smaller than a dime and was probably not going to give much of a signal. There had been dozens of games played on that field since the loss, so, the pendant might have been stepped on and pushed down into the turf a bit, or, it could have even been spotted and picked up by someone. We kept our hopes up however, and after a half hour or so and a few junk targets acting like small gold, I got an even lower target I.D, number of 8 on my Equinox 900 that I was doubtful of, but, I decided early on I would check every target that was close to what I guessed would be the number. It wasn’t right on top of the ground, but, after peeling back a small trap door plug, Tyler’s pendant was staring up at me. I called them over to let them see and retrieve it. A happy Tyler had his precious pendant, given to him by his father, back again. A pleasure meeting you and thank you for the reward.

Diamond Engagement Ring Lost On Beach Near Santa Monica Pier .. Found and Returned

I can help you or answer any questions you may have on how this metal detecting service works .. Call or Text .. Stan the Metal Detector man .. mobile metal detecting for you .. 949-500-2136

*** I got a text from Anthony about an gold diamond engagement ring lost at Santa Monica beach near the pier. It was already 8pm almost too late to make the hour drive to that beach. I texted him back saying, it was important to discuss the circumstances of the loss as soon as possible. That beach is heavily hunted by metal detectorists especially on weekends.

We were able to determine the ring was definitely on Maria’s towel. They were on their way home when Maria realized she had not put the engagement ring back on her finger. Many times I will try a search without the people can’t meet me at the beach. The best information he gave me was that they were not sitting on the towel line. probably the most hunted zones on the beach. I told Anthony that our odds would be better if they could meet me tomorrow, Sunday morning and he agreed.

I was on the beach a day break to start gridding the search area. The Santa Monica  beach crew only pulled a grooming rake with a tractor that morning. Other beaches run their Beach King sifting machine everyday in the summer.

The ring had not shown after an hour of running a tight grid pattern using the verbal directions given to me on our call last night. Then Anthony and Maria walked up to me on the beach. They pointed out a trash can that they were near. I was almost there but they we’re actually way back from the towel line. I moved over about 10 or 15 yards and shortly after starting a new grid pattern I got the signal. The signal is a solid tone in my headphones that happens when a white gold diamond engagement ring is under my detector coil. And one dig with my sand scoop, revealed Maria’s awesome engagement ring. A happy couple drove home with the ring they thought was lost forever.

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Wooster, Ohio!

  • from Wooster (Ohio, United States)

On Tuesday, October 10th I received a text from Rick in Wooster, Ohio who said he found my name on The Ring Finders. He said he believed he lost his wedding ring while planting garlic in his garden on Sunday and asked me to give him a call, if I thought I could help. I called him that afternoon, he gave me all the details and we set up a time the next day for me to come find his ring. On Wednesday, when we pulled into Rick’s driveway, he was ready for us! We exchanged introductions as we pulled out our gear and within a few minutes we were heading across the lawn to his garden. He showed us exactly which rows of his garden he had been working on when he believed he lost the ring and we got to work! Rick stood off to the side of the garden as we worked our way down the rows. The first few hits were bits of scrap metal, which I held up for Rick to see before dropping in my pouch and then, as I turned around to start down the third row, BAM! There it was, that perfect signal! I bent down and plucked Rick’s ring from the soil and held it out to him exclaiming, « and here it is! » Rick was so excited and couldn’t believe how quickly we found it. (The entire hunt took less than five minutes!) As I handed him his ring, he asked if he could give me hug. « Absolutely! », I said. We chatted for a few minutes, snapped a few pictures and he told us we’d gotten him out of the doghouse! As metal detectorists, these are the moments we live for!

Jorge called Stan the Metal Detector Man member of TheRingFinders.. He needed help to find a very sentimental gold pendant lost in the sand.. if you need help call or text Stan ..949-500-2136

*** Jorge lost a gold cross pendant in the sand at 1000 Steps Beach which is in the city of Laguna Beach. Someone on the beach suggested that he contact me using TheRingfinders website. He called me telling me what happened.

I told him, I could be at the location in less than an hour. Our chances were good if he stayed there to get me in the general area of the loss.Traffic was not bad which was a good thing.

After descending a couple hundred steps, I met Jorge at the volleyball court. He showed me where his neckless had broken. After a few swings of my detector I got a faint signal. Put the sand scoop to retrieve the signal. BOOM! There was Jorge’s very sentimental gold cross, that had been given to him many years before by his mother.

It was a quick recovery and I was happy to be able to help him. It was a bit tough to climb those 222 steps to the top of the cliff.

You want me to look WHERE for your wife’s ring? Is this a joke?

  • from Nashville (Tennessee, United States)

I got a text from Pat on 10-12-2023 and he asked if I would respond to Calaveras County, CA, about an hour from where I live to help look for his wife’s wedding ring that she lost just last night. Pat had contacted another RingFinder before contactiung me, but that RingFinder was not available until the following day. It all worked out, because it had been my intent to go metal detecting on this day anyway. When I asked Pat if his wife, Renee, knew the area where she lost her wedding ring, he said it was either in their bedroom, or in a PIG PEN. Pat’s wife had been in and out of their sow’s birthing pen off and on all night, to make she the sow was alright during the birthing process. As an animal lover myself, I understood all of this. I told Pat I’d at his place in about an hour. He told me that Renee would be anxiously waiting for me.

Renee explained that her wedding ring was comprised not only of the diamonds from her original wedding ring that Pat got her, but also had diamonds from some pinky rings that had belonged to her now-deceased father. She also had sapphires mounted on the ring, which are Pat’s birthstone. When I saw pictures of the ring, my jaw dropped. This would be the most beautiful ring I had ever searched for, and I was determined to find it and re-unite it with Renee.

Since Renee said she had been grabbing fresh straw from two different locations near the birthing pen, I started searching those areas with my metal detector. I figured I’d let the momma pig and her two piglets rest. Then after about an hour of searching these other areas, it was time to crawl into the birthing pen, kind of like a big doghouse, to look for the ring. Momma pig was still exhausted, and the newborn piglets were too, so I just crawled in there with them. It was a little cramped to use my Equinox 800, even with the DetectEd carbon fiber shaft collapsed all the way, so out came the XP Mi-6 pinpointer. The first two dozen targets were found to be nails or screws used in the construction of the birthing pen, but then another squealing sound and vibration from the Mi-6, and there it was. The ring was found on top of the wood flooring, covered with about six to eight inches of compacted straw hay.

Now for the fun part. Before the search even started, Renee had asked me if I could run the metal detector her animals (dogs, pigs and chickens) in the event the animal had found the ring and swallowed the shiny object. I told her I could absolutely do that, but that would be done after I searched the pig pen and birthing area first. This request gave me the idea to try the old « pull a ring out of someone’s ear » trick. I scanned her first weiner dog and of course, the detector did not give off a signal. When she brought her other weiner dog out, I scanned the body area with the Equinox 800 and again, no signal. (The detector wasn’t even turned on). With Renee’s ring on my left index finger, cupped in my palm, I reached under the floppy ear of the weiner dog, and there it was, Renee’s beautiful ring. Renee was elated beyond words. She immediately gave me a big hug and thanked me repeatedly.  What a great feeling to find such an incredible ring for such a nice couple. Renee thought she’d never see the ring again. Unfortunately, not all searches end this way, but it just goes to show what some exceptional metal detecting equipment and determination can do. When I say determination, I mean crawling into a birthing pen with a 250+ pound momma pig and her newborn piglets. No animals or humans were harmed in any way during this search.

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Chef Tony’s very handsome tungsten carbide wedding band that was successfully recovered by long time friend and professional metal detectorist Brian Rudolph.

Chef Tony, owner and master chef of Chef Tony’s Fresh Seafood Restaurant and Chef Tony’s Seafood at Amalfi in Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland, smiling and proudly displaying his very special wedding ring that was lost just feet away from where he sits.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I received a call from Tony who lost his wedding ring somewhere outside the front of his house. It was raining outside and as he neared the front door, his size 13.5 tungsten carbide ring slid off and disappeared somewhere to the left of the concrete porch area.

Tony knew of my metal detecting skills and small business called METAL DETECTING ADVENTURES INC because we have been friends for nearly 50 years. We went to elementary school, junior high and high school together. Tony is also known as the famous Chef Tony who owns two very prominent restaurants in Bethesda, Maryland (Chef Tony’s Fresh Seafood Restaurant) and Rockville, Maryland (Chef Tony’s Seafood at Amalfi). Everyone across town knows Tony and or heard of his amazing cuisines! If you live in the Delmarva area, dining at Chef Tony’s restaurants is a must!

Tony’s wife Sonia and their son went out looking for the lost ring sometime the next day or two. Unfortunately all of their search efforts came up empty handed. At first, Sonia thought about buying a metal detector, but then Tony mentioned my services and expertise and the idea was settled to contact me about the loss of the ring.

After just a few minutes of metal detecting a long side the concrete porch foundation, search in the soft ground, and checking in and around multiple flower pots, I was able to successfully recover Tony’s very special sentimental wedding band!

Tony was not surprised at the quick ring recovery just as I am never surprised how tasty and satisfying it is to dine at Chef Tony’s restaurants!

Hidden/Stray Nail Found Under Pool Liner in Southgate Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Pool of Thoughts……

….Got a call from Deb with an unusual request asking if I could find the reason her pool water was lowering faster than normal. She wanted to put the cover on but didn’t want all the water to drain out over the winter. She mentioned seeing damp spots off and on over the summer around the circumference of the pool and thought it was from the grandkids splashing around. On site I decided to dive into the cold water and metal detect the bottom, as metal detecting the sides was impossible due to the huge amount of metal. Years ago, in most cities the house construction debris was often buried in the back yard and over time some of this stuff finds its way to the surface even after excavating the ground, sand filling and leveling a new pool install. That’s exactly what I thought when I got a metal signal with the detector! Submerging down underwater with my pin pointer metal detector, feeling the object revealed it was a nail resting sideways with the head barely poking thru the liner. Resurfacing, then back underwater I took my knife and opened the hole large enough to pull out the rusty nail. Deb was in total disbelief. Using an underwater patch kit a few minutes later sealed up the hole. I finished up detecting the bottom liner portion and visually inspected the sides of the pool and with no other metal signals and the sides looking good I got out to dry off and warm up. I was hoping for one more water search this year before it got too cold and was thrilled to give this a go as unusual as it was. The nail find made a big splash with Deb, and with final thoughts I said….. If you never try, you’ll never sea!
