gold ring lost at Lauderdale by the sea , Florida… found and returned to the owner

I received a text from Preena on Tuesday inquiring what I charged to find a diamond necklace lost in a back yard. When I spoke with Preena, she informed me that her daughter was attending her graduation party in a friends back garden. After asking Preena many questions I agreed to meet up with her the next day.
When I met Preena at the house and she showed me pictures of her daughter with and without the necklace on her! Preena said that the had searched the back garden with out any luck, and I reassured Preena if the neckless was lost in the garden I would find it!
It took me over one hour to locate the necklace. Preena was grateful to have the necklace back as the necklace was very sentimental to her. It was gifted to her by her husband when her third child was born. Preena had given the necklace to her eldest daughter on her graduation day.

I got a call from Rick who said he lost a wedding band while Kayaking in the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. The ring was a family heirloom and was inscribed with the date of his grandmother’s wedding. Hunts like these are particularly motivating to me because of the sentimental value of the ring. Like Rick said, it’s not about the monetary value. The real value is in the significance it has to his family and he would like to pass it down to his kids. The only problem was the size of the search area.
Rick didn’t know where the ring came off of his finger but he remembered three spots where his kayak got hung up on the rocks and he thought he might have lost it at one of those spots. He provided Julie and I with kayaks and the three of us loaded up gear and headed to the most likely spot where the current picked up a bit after dropping down a ledge. On the way there, I got to know Rick a bit and how he fished the river as a kid and takes his family there now. The river is a special place for him and I thought it would be a shame if his lost ring would tarnish that. When we got to the spot, we beached the kayaks and stumbled over the slippery rocks to the search area. After about 15 minutes of searching, I got a good signal and I went in with a snorkel and pinpointer and pulled out the ring. We were so excited and amazed to find the ring with such a large area to cover. Rick was such a nice guy and I was glad to be able to preserve the good memories the river holds for him.

Aaron lost his ring while tossing a nerf football with his friend down by the water. He was very distraught about his Platinum Ring falling into the ocean and had already called his wife to let her know.
When I arrived he showed me the area where they were playing and I started my search but soon Aaron said he hadn’t gone that far so I tried the other side of the search area and soon received a nice signal on my detector.
After I dug down with my scoop I rinsed out the sand and saw a large sand crab and in the corner of my scoop was also his ring. I said to him,”look at the sand crab I found” and he looked in the scoop and was very surprised when he saw his ring.

Lauren & Rick were spending some time along the Crystal Coast. While staying in a beach house rental, Rick gave his wife his wedding ring to hold while he took a dip in the ocean. Lauren placed his ring on her finger and stayed on the beach with their puppy. The pup made a sudden move towards Rick and the lunge caused his wedding ring to go flying into the sand.
12 days later, Lauren contacted me and I headed out that day. A lot of favorable conditions made this recovery possible.
As I was metal detecting in the water on South Beach Miami Beach A couple of guys approached me and asked me to search for a gold chain for them. I spent two or so hours looking for it but after analyzing the situation and having only found beer cans and pennies. I thought we needed to go further out. The problem was it was getting to be the highest tide. So I took a break and waited until the tide went out further they agreed and after signing the contract. I continued to search way out for another 1 hour or so with little results. After discussing the possibility of a need to come back another day and or switching to another metal detector with better sensitivity. I got a target.!!! And brought up the gold chain in the picture. The owner was sooooo happy to get his chain back.

Amy emailed me to see if I could help locate her husband Matt’s custom made white gold wedding band, which was lost as he swam in front of their Hopkins Pond Camp, in Clifton, Maine. Despite very clear water and minimal bottom silt, the search area was challenging due to being strewn with rocks and boulders. Upon exhausting my first tank of air, I began to fear the ring may have slipped into one of the many deep crevices and out of detector range. Shortly after starting my second dive, my Minelab Equinox 600 located the ring in 9 feet of water, buried in a thin layer of silt. A portion of the generous reward received will be donated to The Landing Place in Rockland, Maine to help their efforts to combat homelessness of local teens and young adults.

I received a call from Jacob this evening requesting my service to locate his wife’s rose gold wedding band which she lost in their back yard on Saturday morning.
An hour later, I meet Jacob and his wife Abi at their home. Abi explained that she was doing Yoga exercises on her patio and had removed her ring and placed the ring on her Yoga mat. When she was finished she picked the mat up, shook the mat towards her lawn, rolled the mat up and then went into the house.
About ten minutes later Abi realized what she had done and quickly went out to search for her ring with no luck. Jacob then rented a metal detector and told me that he did not understand how to operate it, and had spent a few hours searching but had been unable to find the ring.
I searched their lawn for an hour with no luck, then I asked Abi to get her mat out and show me exactly what she had done. We used a test ring and noticed that the tester ring rolled backwards and ended on the other side of her patio into the grass and not the direction they thought the ring flew. I found the ring just off the concrete patio which made the ring very difficult to locate with all the rebar to the untrained ear that’s why Jacob was unable to find the ring with all the different ring tones his detector produced.
Jacob and Abi were so relived that the ring was found and back on her finger.
Thank you Jacob and Abi for entrusting me to locate your wedding band.
