Metal Detecting Trumbull Connecticut for Lost Wedding Band

Found White Gold Wedding Band

Found White Gold Wedding Band

I received a call a couple of days ago to locate a men’s white gold wedding band. The gentleman described to me how he lost the ring in his back yard years earlier. During the call, I could hear the sense of urgency in his voice and knew I had to find it. We decided on a day and time to meet and started retracing his steps. Just hours after I uncovered the ring and returned it to its owner, I received this testimonial:

A white gold wedding band inscribed with personal tributes to our love. That ring means so much to me. I kissed it every day. I would sometimes ask my wife to kiss it to “seal it.” I lost a lot of weight to get healthy when my first son was born. My ring no longer fit, and I used to remove my ring when I went swimming or exercised. I would take it off if I sat in the sun as I was afraid I might sweat and it would slip. One afternoon, I was sitting in my backyard enjoying the day. I did what I always did: Put my book, water-bottle and my ring under my chair.

I got on the phone and paced a bit around the yard. I went up to the deck and around and down the stairs. I also had moved my chair a few times to face the sun. After an hour had passed, I decided to go inside. My ring had disappeared.

I was mortified. I got on my hands and knees and looked for hours. I took a rake and combed every piece of the area in which I had placed my chair. When my son came home, I had him looking with me. My ring was lost.

I kept thinking of renting a metal detector but put that off. I read some articles, and it seemed a difficult prospect for me to pull off. Then I resigned myself to it being lost. I guess I had not entirely lost hope. Two-plus years later, I happened upon Mr. Wille and theringfinders.com. I called Mr. Wille up, and he was so very kind and patient. I explained the situation, what the ring meant to me. Mr. Wille understood and told me what he would do to find it. I must say that I was taken aback by his level of confidence. There was no “if” or “but” in his words or even in his voice. He was going to find this ring. I will also add here that all he asked for was money to cover gas. This was not possible, but I figured I would try it.

We set up a date within days of my call, and Mr. Wille arrived exactly when he said he would. I walked him around my yard and through all my paces from that day and then returned to work at 9 AM.

I was in a meeting with a colleague when a text came through at 11:20.

It was a picture Mr. Wille sent to me of my ring. He had positioned it gloriously atop a rock, and it still glistened in the late morning sun. I swear it took everything I had to not cry at that moment (later, I cried after the meeting ended).

I called Mr. Wille and sped home soon thereafter, where he showed me the ring. I was at a total loss for words. He showed me the spot where he found it. It was not far from where I had been sitting, but it was 2-3 inches underground.

He also shared some old coins and various “treasures” he had found in my yard. I must say, I was too stunned to hear and too blissed-out to listen. I really could not believe that the ring had been returned to me.

Mr. Wille would not accept much in terms of a reward, but I plan on sending him more via mail anyway and hope he will be hard-pressed to send it back. His genuine compassion, paired with his obvious love for what he does, is astounding. I work in a field where empathy, compassion, and kindness are highly valued. It is nice to know that people like Mr. Wille are out there compassionately, gently reuniting people with truly priceless things. My ring, in terms of monetary value, not much. My ring, in terms of what it means to my heart, my soul to see it again – I could never have enough money to pay for that. Thank you, Mr. Wille.

Namaste~

Lost Ladies Gold Wedding Ring, Ponce Inlet, Florida….Found!!

Margaret and her family were enjoying a beautiful warm summer day at the beach, playing in the sand and surf when all of a sudden a large wave caught her by surprise and sent her tumbling.  As she gathered herself together she realized that her precious diamond ring was missing from her finger.  In 3 feet of water and with 3 foot high waves washing in one after another she realized it would be next to impossible to find her ring.

Later that evening she found theringfinders.com on line and gave me a call.  We made arrangements to meet and Margaret was able to give me a fairly good description of where they were swimming when she got upended!  I marked out a 50 yard stretch on the beach and began my grid search in and out of the water.   I searched for about 2 hours and only got 3 signals—1 pull tab, 1 penny and 1 very nice ladies gold diamond ring!

Thank you Margaret for your generous reward and for giving me the honor and privilege to help you!

Need help?  Give me a call and let’s talk!

He did not expecting that his wedding would follow suit into the high grass. After he scoured around everywhere for it, raking the grass, rented a metal detector and even the lawn company mowed the grass before I could get there. After searching the area for awhile, and located the utilites as I was searching. There was the ring half way down into the dirt. he was very happy to get the ring back.

Lost Wedding Ring Crystal Beach, Texas (Recovered)

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring Crystal Beach, Texas (Recovered)

(Bolivar Peninsula-Galveston County)

07/05/2014

Received a call today from Jessie regarding his wives lost wedding ring at Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, Texas.

Jessie advised his family was vacationing on Crystal Beach, and his wife Courtney had lost her ring in the water on Crystal Beach.  Jessie said she was in about 4 foot of water when she lost the ring and they where pretty sure of its general location.

07/06/2014

Plans were made to meet early in the morning today to escape the remaining 4th of July traffic in and around Galveston. The trip down early was the right plan but the trip back not so much, seemed like everyone was leaving the island at exactly the same time, cost me several hours.

Sargassum Seaweed has been plaguing the Texas coast for most of the month making metal detecting a little less desirable, and extremely difficult at times.

I meet Jessie and his family this morning and we did a walk through of how and where the ring was lost. The seaweed and tide conditions had all changed since the previous day making the location a little more difficult for Courtney.

After about 30 minutes of searching with no success Jessie and Courtney came back out into the water and placed themselves as accurately as possible in the drop location. I worked a circle grid around them and on about the second loop hit a faint signal.

I personally think both Jessie and Courtney were starting to loose a little faith in the idea their ring would ever be found. Perhaps being back out in the water and seeing what was involved changed their expectations.

I pulled up that faint target, washed the sand from the basket, and saw what most people would think could never be found.

I received a call about a white gold wedding ring that was lost while playing baseball with his kids. A search needed to be done as soon as possible since the baseball fields are going to be used the next day. About 20 hours later we met at the baseball field. I search the whole left outfield as one of the possible lost locations. But no luck. Then I started to search back to the bleaches from the left outfield and there it was in the grass. He was very happy to have his ring back.

Three Lost/found Wedding Rings at Gordon’s Pond Rehoboth, Del.

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

image On 06-07-14, I was contacted by a gentleman regarding his daughters three wedding rings that had been lost in the sand on the beach at Gordon’s Pond State Park beach in Rehoboth, Delaware. I learned that the daughter had taken her rings off and placed them on a towel while she was putting suntan oil on her daughter. The husband unknowingly picked up the towel that the rings were laying on and all three disappeared in the sand without a trace. I responded to the beach where I met all of the parties involved and began my grid search for the rings. After the third pass the sand gave up her bounty and one by one I was able to recover each ring and I returned them to their rightful owner. As each ring was recovered a group of spectators gave out a cheer.

Lost Ring in Houston (Found)

I received the following email today from a previous client regarding her lost wedding rings.

Hey John,

You probably don’t remember me, but my husband contacted you last October about wedding rings that were lost in my home. I couldn’t remember taking them off, thought I remembered going to bed with them and then didn’t have them the next morning. I even had my cat x rayed to make sure that he didn’t swallow it!!  You very graciously came to our home in Meyerland and spent hours looking for it.  You searched every cabinet in my kitchen and used your metal detectors inside and outside of the house.  Today, as I was packing for an upcoming family vacation, I found them in one of my drawers that was overstuffed with clothes!  I just thought that I would let you know, and wanted to thank you again for your help.

Sincerely,
Angie and Jeff

I do remember the call ,and I remember Angie’s disappointment when we were not able to find her rings.

Nice going Angie.

Lost Ring Posted on Madison Craigslist Website Found in Backyard

  • from Madison (Wisconsin, United States)

Date: May 26, 2013

I had taken a week of vacation in order to complete various projects around the house, as well as tend to my gardening.  Midweek just as I was heading out the door to run some errands, I realized my wedding ring was not on my finger.  I quickly checked my pockets and it was not there, however I proceeded to run my errands.  Upon returning home, I looked in the two most likely places and unfortunately it was not in either spot.   I am a creature of habit and will put my ring in my pocket if I am putting on hand lotion, etc.  My husband quickly pointed out that the shorts I was wearing had a hole in one pocket.  We scoured the house for days looking high and low.  We even cleared out all of the closets to check the floors, but sadly we found nothing.  I was convinced I had lost my ring inside the house, but my husband thought it had fallen out of my pocket while I was gardening on my day off.  After a couple of days, we decided to post an ad in the “Lost and Found” section on www.Craigslist.com as a last resort.  That’s how we found Dan.  He quickly responded to the ad offering to help.  Since we had already searched the entire inside of the house, we thought it was worth a shot for Dan to come over and search our backyard with his metal detector.

I met Dan at our home on Saturday morning along with his young son.  He was very professional and it was clear that they had done this together many times.  I was impressed with the way he was using this task to teach his son the skills of metal detecting, as well as the importance of helping out others.  Together they swept the front yard and found quite a few coins, but no ring.  They did a very thorough search of both the front and the back yard, but initially did not find the ring.  The entire time they never gave up, and then suddenly Dan called me over … he had found my ring in the lawn along the side of the house.   I don’t know how many times we might have walked past it in the days since it was lost, but it was found.

I am very cautious when responding to an ad from Craigslist, but through the back and forth email with Dan to setup the appointment, I felt comfortable meeting him at our home on my own.  He was professional and very respectful of the fact that I had lost something very dear.  I cannot thank him enough and can only give him a glowing reference.

Thanks again,

Jean K.

Metal Detecting Equipment and Training

Metal Detecting Equipment and Training

I just added the Garrett AT Gold to the equipment list. I was looking for a machine that would perform really well on small gold items like diamond earrings and very small diamond pendants. The Minelab CTX 3030 manages well, but the prospecting (AT GOLD) hits these small items really well.

I purchased two small gold items from a local jewelry store for field testing and training purposes. The AT GOLD works amazingly well and should increase my recovery rate for these types of items.

The AT Gold picked out this small earring on its first test run along with some of the smallest specs of aluminum and other debris I have ever recovered.

My first impressions, the machine is awesome,  and it has already proven itself capable of finding micro specs of Au, Ag, and Pt.

Au: Gold

Ag: Silver

Pt: Platinum
