Lost Wedding Band at Abbotsford Construction Site…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Just yesterday around 3 pm I received a call from a young man that lost his wedding band at a construction site in Abbotsford.I quickly called our other member from Abbotsford to see if he wanted to do it as it would be nice for him to get some practise but I never heard back from him so I made arrangements to meet Chris who lost his ring that evening.Abbotsford is a good hour drive for me so by the time I got off work and grabbed my equipment and met Chris at a gas station it was 10 pm. I followed him to the construction site where I signed in and followed him to his job site where his ring was lost. We looked over the 2 possibilities and we both felt that the ring was lost at the 2nd location. I grabbed my light to do the interview and off I went to search for the ring… It only took a minute to get a signal and a huge Smile! I feel just as excited to find the ring as the person I find it for!  Chris was so very happy, he called his wife who sounded very excited and emotional that the ring was found! It’s so refreshing to see what a ring means to a man as we know how emotional the ladies get when I recover their lost rings. Chris loved his ring very much and loved the lady who gave it to him and I’m so glad I was able to continue their story! Thank you for the kind reward Chris!I love my Job!Lost Something? Diamond Wedding Band Found at Oakland Beach Home, Warwick, RI

Yesterday evening, I received a call from Tempest, who asked if I could come to her home right away to search for her diamond wedding band.  She explained that she and her husband, Will, had been searching for the ring and couldn’t find it.  Tempest had seen my information on the internet while on Craigslist so she was familiar with The Ring Finders service.  My wife and daughter accompanied me to assist with the search, and we arrived at Tempest’s home at 8:30 PM.  Her husband, Will, explained that their three-year-old daughter had thrown the wedding band out the window, tryng to throw it to her mother.  Unfortunately, neither Tempest nor Will knew exactly where the ring had landed.  We searched the yard first and expanded the search to the neighbor’s yard, sidewalk, and street.  After searching for two hours, my daughter, Emily, found the ring about forty feet from the house.  Tempest’s daughter promised never to do that again!   IMG_1646IMG_1642

Lost Wedding Ring Found…Iowa City, Iowa

On Thursday I got a call from a guy who lost his gold wedding band . He thought he lost it either while washing the dog in the front of his house or when he was playing baseball with his son in the backyard.

This was over a year ago, he thought May of last year. So I got my things together after work on Thursday and searched for it. I gridded out an area in his front yard where he washed the dog. Two hours later no ring.

So I went back today and gridded part of his backyard where he was playing ball with his son. An hour and a half and still no ring. I was beginning to wonder if it was in his yard. I stayed with my grid some more and got a decent 12-21 signal on the CTX. I knew it could be it but I was getting many pieces of aluminum siding and gutter that were hitting in this range also.

But it was the ring! Yahoo! Isn’t it a great feeling when you pull something like that out of the ground. His young son was out watching me work, so I washed it off and gave it to him and told him to take it to his Dad.

They all were very happy and couldn’t believe I found it. Never give up on your grid search. HH

Two days ago, Marissa and Dave set out for a nice day of kayaking at the ocean.  The day quickly took a turn for the worse when Marissa lost her diamond engagement ring in a river running off of the ocean.  She jumped out of the kayak and frantically searched for the ring, but it had disappeared.  Surprisingly, it was Dave’s family in California who located me on the internet and suggested they call.  When I received Marissa’s desperate telephone call, I immediately headed for the beach.  It was late afternoon when I started the search, but daylight and the tide were against me.   I searched for four and a half hours, unsuccessfully. I was not giving up.  I returned the next day, expanded my search, and found the ring in fifteen minutes, buried underwater in a few inches of sand.  Words cannot express how happy Marissa is to have her beautiful ring back!

White Gold Wedding Band recovered in Trippe Creek in Easton, Maryland!

Success once again! This time my buddy and I found ourselves back in the water looking for this target. I have to be honest, after 20 minutes or so of searching this creek bed I really thought we would be skunked for the first time since joining The Ring Finders. The bottom of the creek was not only muddy, but it was extremely SOFT! So much so that every step we took put us 6-9 inches deep in the clay-like bottom. What was worse, when we went to scoop a potential target, we sunk another 6-12 inches! It was like searching in quicksand. One slightly off scoop attempt could push the ring down into no man’s land making recovery impossible at that point. We decided a few minutes later that we would give it another 20-30 minutes and admit defeat if we were unsuccessful at that point. Luckily, a few more minutes of searching I got a good audible signal and made a very careful scoop attempt and……..well, I’ll let Denise tell you her story!

Up the creek!

My son was kayaking with my nephew in Trippe Creek near our house in Easton, Maryland.  Men will be boys, and they started cutting up and tipped over the kayak. His wedding ring (which should have been sized better) slipped off his finger in 4 or so feet of water.  He could not find it.  He was in serious trouble with his wife and was quite upset with himself.

The next day I searched online to find someone who had equipment for us to buy or rent or perform the search for us.  I found The Ring Finders website and called the person with the address closest to our home and it was Jim.  He agreed to come out on Sunday with his friend.

He asked us to try to narrow the search area as much as possible.  So, when they arrived on Sunday we had lined up my mom who had witnessed the incident and with my son on phone (he had already returned to his home out of state) we outlined a search area. The guys were patient, polite, and friendly. They were thorough in the search, and after almost 45 minutes in the water, Jim found the ring. Even they were amazed to find it, as it was in the muddy floor of the creek in almost 4 feet of water.  I would highly recommend to anyone as Jim says, they have 100% success rate.

Lost Gold Diamond Man’s Wedding Ring in Pataskala, OH “FOUND”.

I received a call from a guy that lost his first wedding ring in his backyard last summer. His family tradition is giving his wedding ring to his son, that is getting married later this year. If I was not able to find the wedding ring then he would have to give his son his current wedding ring.

Well about half way though the back yard, I found the ring. The diamond and gold wedding ring shine in the sun as his wife came outside with joy to see the lost ring. Him and his wife were very happy to see the ring again. And their son will be also.

I received a call today from a friend who knew I was a member of The Ring Finders.  He asked me to look for a ring for his stepdad’s mom, Cecile.  Cecile lost her husband about a year ago and has worn his wedding ring on her thumb ever since.  That is until yesterday when the ring was lost while she was doing yard work.  She was so upset that she looked for the ring until late last night with a flashlight and prayed to Saint Anthony.  After searching the grass in her front yard for about 45 minutes this evening, I found her husband’s wedding band.  Cecile was so happy to get the ring back that she cried and hugged me when she saw it.  She said she felt blessed, but not as blessed as I felt to have been able to return it to her!

Gold Signet Ring for 8yr Old found after 3 weeks

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

Hello from Don & Ellen Wilson in Dallas, Texas.  We got a call today from Mrs Bundy, her 8yr old daughter, Briar, had lost her Gold Signet Ring at the playground of the local Country Club.  We met at the Country Club and began searching the area where the daughter said she saw the ring fly off her hand.  She was playing Queen of the World by standing on top of a picnic table and threw her arm out like she was Queen. The ring came off of her hand and was lost.

After 3 weeks of searching by Briar, her parents, other family members and the Country Club grounds & Management staff everyone had given the ring up for lost.  Mrs Bundy’s sister in New York read an article about  « The Ring Finders » and told Mrs. Bundy she should check the website and see if there was a « Ring Finder in the Dallas area »  She did and found my wife and I.

After about an hour of searching we were about to call it quits when I asked the little girl to get back up on the picnic table and re-inact the event.  She did, then my wife said « no wait, do it again and close your eyes and do it the exact same way ».  Briar did as we requested and did it completely different than she had previously showed us.  This time I saw that it was possible the ring may have  flown in a different area of grass.  We began to detect this area and in 5 minutes the ring showed itself.  I called the little girl and her mother over and asked, ‘is this your ring’?  They were so excited and so grateful.

Another great day in the life of « The Ring Finders in Dallas,Tx »

God I love this hobby!

Lost Platinum Wedding Band Recovered in Forest Hill Maryland!

Once again I am proud to say that my 100% recovery success rate is still in tact! Earlier in the week I received a call from Michael telling me that his wedding band slipped off while doing some yard work and asked if I could come out and see what I could do.  Luckily I work about 25 minutes from his residence so we made plans to come out the the next day. Michael had a plane to catch in the morning so I ended up meeting his wife Gina when I arrived. Here’s how things went down in her own words….

My husband was out in the yard spreading grass seed a couple weeks ago. He came into the house and told me that he felt his ring fall off while he was sifting through some of the excess seed with his hands. I went out to where he said that he was and we both spent about 20 minutes before we gave up on it. We both went out the next day and spent another 15 to 20 minutes looking for it and still no ring. We decided to buy a metal detector and had the same result..NO RING! We were both dumbfounded and ready to chalk it up as a loss. I decided to try once last attempt on internet to search for a company that specializes in recovering lost jewelry. After about 10 minutes and different google entries, TheRingFinders website came up. I found Jim’s name and read his blog and my husband called him. He was very pleasant and informative during the conversation. You could really feel his enthusiasm for what he does as a « hobby ».  He was able to come by after work the following day and begin the search. Jim had full confidence that he would find it and I was trying to be as positive as he was about it. After about an hour, all that was found was a flat soda can, aluminum foil and a  juice top, I was having my doubts but Jim kept reassuring me that the ring would be found. He began to search the other part of the lawn where it could have possibly fallen off with no such luck. He then started to go over the initial area where my husband said he felt it slip off. I went inside for a few minutes and came back out to see Jim on the ground digging at something. He turned around and said, « I found it ». I couldn’t believe it when he showed me the spot where it was. It was lying under some grass about 8 feet from the initial area. I was completely amazed and so excited when he held it up. We can’t begin to thank him enough for his professionalism and true passion to help people. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone in a similar situation. Thanks again and congrats on a perfect recovery record!!!

Take Care,

Gina & Michael

I’m glad I was successful Michael/Gina….for your sake and for my own personal track record!

Lost Locket & Gold Chain found! Arlington,Texas

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We  received a panic call from a young man about 8pm one night saying that his girlfriend had lost the locket and chain he had given her somewhere in his front yard.  He wanted us come that night but we were tied up and promised to come early the next morning.  We arrived around 7am and he explained that he and his girlfriend had been playing around in the front yard when the incident happened. She had placed the item in the pocket of her hoodie prior to playing around.  She was extremely upset with him and he was really upset that he couldn’t find it himself.

We got out our detectors and began scanning and in just 5 minutes or so we got a HIT.  We found the locket and chain. He was shocked and happy and could not thank us enough.

What a thrill to have another successful hunt for « The Ring Finder ».
