LOST WEDDING RING WAIKIKI FOUND

This recovery started when i  got the text from Melissa about her lost diamond wedding rings in Ala Moana Waikiki area. She lost them the daybefore and so i gathered my gear and  I was able to head out and look the very next morning on a very well known and hunted beach. I had my fair share of concerns but needed to give a thorough search regardless. As i was searching the area in which Melissa gave I started to take notice that i looked in the area and nothing but loose change and bottle caps. So i decided to open up the search area because I’ve been looking for 2 hours and no rings. About a half hour in the search i get a great tone and there in the xtreme scoop is 1 of the 2 missing rings. I then start a circle grid which i started to overlap my previous grid and i get another good tone but very faint. i dug a good 5-6 inches before lo and behold there in the bottom of my scoop is Melissas 2nd ring. I was so happy i ran to my belongings on the beach and noticed that my phone had no battery life. As i’m standing there happy I could hear a voice that said  » Did you find it »? It was the life guard who i talked to earlier about these lost now found rings. His reaction was priceless… NO WAY! With a loud voice. We talked for a little while and then I left the beach with a grateful heart because I know I’ll get to return these beauties. What was thought to be a Gone forever changed! I charged my phone and later that evening my family met up with Melissa and we returned the wedding rings. Happy to help and return these beauties! Another successful recovery.

Biggest thing is to contact me as soon as possible because it increases the chances of me finding and returning your lost rings.

Ring lost during proposal in Cape May, NJ FOUND!

Received a call from Jordan on December 21st, 2019. Jordan was in the process of proposing to his girlfriend on Sunset Beach in Cape May when the engagement ring evidently fell out of the box unbeknownst to him. After gathering a few details from Jordan, we setup a time to meet and I headed over to Sunset Beach. I arrived before Jordan and his father so I decided to take a walk down to see if I could figure out where they may have been. Sure enough the tell tale signs were there so I began searching where I believed they may have been. After a brief 10 minute search I had the ring in my scoop! I went back to the parking lot and awaited Jordans arrival. He and his father were in total shock and disbelief that I had already recovered the ring before they arrived. After reuniting Jordan with the ring his father explained how much of a roller coaster of emotions the day had been. All recoveries are emotional for the clients, for many different reasons, and no two are ever the same, but sometimes there are the ones that really make providing this service warm your heart. This is one of them. I attached the reuniting video but it is a bit dark.

Lost ring at Mission Beach found

Joe’s buddies were throwing him a bachelor party here in San Diego. Got the beach house, check, got the beer, check, took an Uber to get the Cardiff Crack (a special Tri Tip roast beef sold up the coast a ways), check, hitting the beach and throwing the football around in the water, check. What they forgot was that you should leave jewelry at home and not take them to the beach…..especially out in the ocean. He’s from Arizona, and just started wearing this ring, so, a common rookie mistake :-). The cold water combined with slippery conditions allowed his ring to just fall right off in the waist deep surf. An online search and The Ring Finders popped up with my contact info. I get the call just a hair after high tide, so, we made arrangements to meet a good 5 hours later when the tide would be a lot further out. Makes the search much easier to contend with when you can avoid most of the surf, current, and undertow. I arrive around 8:30 pm and meet Joe at the location. Earlier I had him take some reference points and pace off how far he had been out in the water. These were important details that help narrow the search area and increase the likelihood of success. I started gridding and getting no targets at all…..as in mind-numbingly quiet. After about 4-5 passes, I get a solid 11 and scoop a bottle cap. Rats….even though I figured it wasn’t going to be his size 14 tungsten carbide ring, I was at least hoping for something good. 2 more passes and I get a screaming 20 on my Equinox. Now, that’s more like it! Sure enough, Joe’s ring was in the scoop. He and his buddies were totally amazed and thrilled that Joe’s ring was recovered. Let the bachelor party begin! It will be a lot more pleasant trip home to AZ too, since I just realized that the ring is inscribed with « til death », which might have been the consequences coming back home without the ring!  Pleasure to meet you Joe, and the bachelor party gang, and thank you for the reward.

Ring lost at La Jolla Shores found

James was here in town for a wedding, and staying at a beach resort at La Jolla Shores. Yesterday was a hot and dry day, so, He was out enjoying the beach and throwing a ball to his cousin in the cool, shallow water in front of the resort. Well, we know the scenario here! Ball gets thrown, and his family crest, signet, heirloom ring decides to take a dip too. Ring hits water, sinks quickly into the sand, and disappears. An online search brings up The Ring Finders website and my contact info. The tide had already receded a bit, and was still heading out, so, my wife and I jumped into the car and headed to the location. We were actually able to find parking not too far away, which two weeks ago would have been impossible on a Saturday afternoon. We meet James out on the beach and he shows us the search area. He makes his best guess at where « ground zero » was and I start a spiral search out from there in the wet sand . Half hour later and no ring, I start a cross grid and expand out beyond my initial grid. Another half hour later and only two targets total, I finally get a sweet, solid 16 on my Equinox just outside my initial search area. Sure enough, James’s ring pops out of the shallow plug of sand. A pleasure to meet you James, and thank you for the reward.

*** Jason called me from Laguna Beach,CA. after his wife, Julia had accidentally dropped his platinum wedding ring in the sand. She had been holding his ring while he went for a swim.

They were searching the sand when a passerby told them about how to contact me by searching the internet for TheRingFinders directory of metal detector specialists.

I received the call and was only 7 miles away so it was a quick response. I was able to meet them on one of the beautiful Laguna Beach coves. Julia was feeling a little guilty for being careless with the ring. It was easy to assure her that this happens more than most people know. 

The best part of this find was that they were still in the general location, so it didn’t take long to find Jason’s very sentimental platinum wedding ring.

Lost White Gold Wedding Band Found At Gordons Pond State Park Beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

On 08/22/19, I received a call from Tory asking for my help in finding her white gold wedding band that had been lost in the sand at Gordons Pond State Park Beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Tory said that she had taken her wedding band and engagement ring off her finger and placed them in the pocket of her husbands shirt for safe keeping. Tory said that the shirt was placed on her husbands backpack that was laying on top of the sand and that their 18 month old daughter grabbed the shirt and ran with it. Tory said that both of the rings fell out of the shirt pocket into the sand and that her husband was able to recover her engagement ring and that they were unable to locate the wedding band. After talking with Tory, I drove to the beach to meet her and to start the search for her ring. After being shown the area of the sand where the engagement ring was found I began a grid search and was unable to find the wedding band. Torys husband pointed out a hole in the sand that he and his daughter had dug and he felt that the ring may be in the hole because their daughter had carried his shirt that contained the rings over to the hole. I checked the hole with my metal detector and found that the ring was not in the hole so I then asked Tory and her husband to move all of their beach items from the area where they had been sitting so that I could search the area without interference from the metal beach chairs and the metal shaft of the umbrella. After the items were removed I continued with the search and was able to locate the lost ring just in front of where a beach chair had been sitting and only a few feet from the hole that I had previously searched. The lost ring was then returned to a grateful Tory.

 **** Ari’s mother Bryn had been on the beach with the family watching her grandson taking surfing lessons. She took off multiple rings setting them on her lap while applying sunscreen. Her wedding ring set and three other rings. One ring was her husband’s ring who had past away just a month before. Late that night after returning to their summer beach house, she realized that her rings must have fallen into the sand.

The next morning her son Ari was able to borrow a metal detector to search the beach. Besides not knowing anything about using a metal detector he had difficulty remembering where they had been sitting. Ari decided that he would try to locate a professional metal detecting service. He went online where he found my contact information. I was only a couple miles away so we met on the beach about 11 am. There were already many beach goers setting up their blankets and umbrellas on the beach. Making it difficult to do a proper grid search. I did a preliminary search not bothering the people set up on the beach.

Returning later that afternoon I set up a large search grid and after 2 hours I found the two ring engagement/wedding ring set. A few minutes later the other three rings showed up in my scoop. All rings very sentimental especially at this time of grieving over the loss of her husband.

The rings survived over 24 hours on a highly populated part of the beach that gets sifted by very efficient beach cleaning machines and the possibility that someone could have accidentally found the rings. 

Knowing this beach well, I had a hard time staying positive about finding multiple rings in this section of Newport Beach. Another lesson for me to stay positive and be persistent.

**** Steven was very proud to be a part of a team that won the California State Lacrosse Championship this year. He was devastated when he lost his ring in the sand playing volleyball the day before contacting me.

Steven’s mother had located me and called me the next morning. The loss occurred at a private beach and it would take awhile to get entry to the beach access entry point. When I met Steven on the beach, he walked me over to the zone where he believed the ring came off his finger.

I looked at a 5 ft. square area that he had dug about two feet deep searching for his ring the night before. I was a little concerned that it buried out of detecting range. After setting up my detector I began my search. The “BIG” ring was found about 5 ft. outside the suspected search location. It was a beautiful ring and I could tell how much it meant to Steven when I presented it to him.

Another fun find that came with the privilege to see and detect on this awesome beach. Ringfinders get to go to some unique locations, it’s not just beaches. I can’t begin to share all the awesome places I’ve searched for lost sentimental keepsakes.

 ****Miles was at Venice Beach, CA. When he lost his silver ring in the sand. He called me and a hour later I met him. He had taken time to hold me a parking space which saved a lot of time. 

It was getting a little windy and his friends were ready to leave. Because he was able to stay in the location it made it easy to find his ring. Within 10 minutes my detector was able to identify ahis silver ring hiding under the sand. 

We took a couple photos then everybody headed for home. Another successful search and return.

Heirloom Australian Gold Ring Returned: West Dennis, MA

It was August 23 and the summer day was just too wonderful not to go swimming while vacationing on Cape Cod. Even in the 74 degree waters the combination of suntan lotion, hot sun and cooler water caused a very sentimental wedding band to slip from Kevin’s ring finger. The ring was to rest beneath the salt water of the Cape overnight.

The next morning due to prior commitments Luke had to leave the search area without finding the misplaced ring. Luke call me and asked if I would help, sure and I was on my way. Searching the primary area and not finding the ring I moved to an area outside “the box”. Not too far, only about 20 feet, five minutes, the ring of gold was in my ears. A quick scoop and the ring was no longer misplaced, it was on its way back to the owner.

I called Luke. He in turn called Kevin’s wife to tell her the ring had been found and that I would be calling to arrange the physical return. Within the hour Jane and Kevin were at my home relaying the story behind the ring. The ring had been reworked form Jane’s great-grandmother’s gold. A ring that could never be replaced and of unmatched sentimental value. Kevin relayed to me that his finger felt so bare he had purchased a Claddagh on the day his ring was lost and that it will be worn while swimming in the future.
