I received a call late in the afternoon of July 4th from a lady who informed me she was in about 4 feet of water when a wave smashed into her. She exited the water and realized her wedding ring set was missing from her finger. She said she searched not only in the water but also about 100 yards away where she was sitting. She believed her ring was lost in the water but not 100% sure. She was at a beach called Little Talbot Island which was about 40 miles from me. I determined the best time to search was the next day. I searched for about 4 hours both in the water and on the beach with no luck.  I called her up and let her know that I did not find the ring but not to give up hope as there would be some tide changes in a few days.  I think she gave up faith after hearing I did not find her rings. I returned 2 days later and found her wedding set in the water about 12″-14″ buried under the sand.  When I sent her a picture of her wedding set she called me crying and could not believe they were found…

If you lose something of value, I may be able to help you… Call or Text anytime…Adam 714-785-5111

On 06/27/2022, I received a call from fellow New Jersey ring finder John Favno regarding a lost mens wedding band on the beach at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. John said that he had been contacted by a lady by the name of Sissi regarding the lost ring and he provided me with a phone number for Sissi. I then called Sissi to find out the particulars regarding the loss of her husbands ring. Sissi said that her husband lost his ring off of his finger when a wave hit his hand. I asked Sissi to send me some pictures of the beach and area of where the ring had been lost. After looking at the pictures that Sissi sent to me I decided that I would attempt to find the missing ring. I met Sissi and her husband (Jean) on the beach about an hour later, I asked Jean to go out and stand in the water in the area that he had lost his ring. Jean walked out into knee deep water at which time I searched around him for the ring, I did get a signal and what I dug up was a pair of sunglasses. After not locating the ring out in the knee-deep water I started to search the area where the waves were just breaking and the water was about ankle deep. I got another signal and upon digging it I found the lost ring in my sand scoop. The lost ring was then returned to a happy couple, Sissi told me that she and Jean had been married for eleven months and that their one-year anniversary was coming up in the month of July. I would like to wish Sissi and Jean a Happy Anniversary! Thank You Fellow Ring Finder John Favno for the referral!

On 06/02/2022, I received a call from Holly regarding the loss of a 10kt Gold Wedding Band belonging to her husband Timmothy. Holly said that Timmothy had lost his ring on 05/30/2022 on the beach at Dewey Beach, Delaware while he was shaking the sand off of a towel. Holly said that she and Timmothy had just gotten married and that his ring was a little loose on his finger. Holly said that they had rented a metal detector to try to find the lost ring and that they were not able to locate it. Holly also said that they had help from a local resident who volunteered to help look for the ring with his metal detector and that the ring was still not able to be found. Holly requested that I make an attempt to find the missing wedding band, she also said that they were leaving to go back home. I told Holly that I would try to find the ring later in the day and that I would let her know the outcome of the search. Holly was able to provide me with a photograph of her standing on the beach in the area that the ring was lost in. The picture also included a fence that gave me a reference as to where she was on the beach. Upon arriving at the beach later in the day I began a search of the area that was in the picture that Holly had sent to me, the search ended with the ring not being located. I then decided to expand the search area and began a search of the area to the north of the original search area. After just a few swings of my detector I was able to locate the missing ring on the wet sand slope about two inches down in the sand. I then sent Holly a picture of the recovered ring to let her know that it had been found. Two days later I mailed the ring back to Holly as she had requested.

Lost ring in Coronado Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Brandon was enjoying the beach with his young son. He dutifully applied sunscreen after taking his wedding ring off and placing it in his lap. His son started heading for the water, so, Brandon got up to chase after him. Off went the ring somewhere in the fluffy dry sand where it disappeared. An online search brought Brandon to TheRingFinders.com where he found me. After getting the particulars, I agreed to fight the traffic and parking on a holiday weekend to meet up with him at the site. As expected, traffic and parking were troublesome. Add a HUGE, miles long, bicycle cruise in town, and I had a real fun time getting there, and especially leaving! I think at the time I got the last paid parking spot at the Hotel Del Coronado. After that, it was pretty much a breeze. I met Brandon out on the beach, he showed me the search area, and a few minutes later, the ring was in the scoop. A pleasure to meet you Brandon, and thank you for the reward.

On June 5, I received a call from Sarah, requesting help to find a ring she had lost in her yard. When I arrived, she explained that the ring was her father’s ring and that he passed away recently.  She had his ring on her thumb and was doing some yard work.  When she noticed that the ring was missing, she called a friend, who I had helped to find a ring a couple of years ago.  The friend recommended that Sarah call me. I searched her yard and was concerned, because it was getting dark.  After 45 minutes of searching, I located the ring.  She was so happy to have her father’s ring back, and I was excited to be able to reunite her with this precious item.

Successful Recovery Mission: Lost Promise Ring Found at Oxnard Beach

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Late Monday evening, I received a distressing text from Kaitlyn, seeking assistance in locating a lost promise ring submerged in the surf and wet sand at Oxnard Beach. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, I agreed to undertake the recovery operation early Tuesday morning, capitalizing on the favorable low tide conditions. Armed with their recollection of the approximate location, I embarked on a meticulous three-hour grid search of the designated area. However, despite my efforts, the ring remained elusive.

Undeterred, Kaitlyn and her boyfriend Flavio decided to join forces with me, hoping to improve our chances of success. Early Wednesday morning, Flavio and I returned to the beach, revisiting the same area while taking into account the subtle changes in the landscape caused by shifting sands. Despite expanding our search parameters and meticulously combing the vicinity, our efforts initially proved fruitless. Determined not to concede defeat, I explored alternative areas, including the slope and high tide line.

It was during the painstaking search along the high tide line that my metal detector signaled a potential discovery. With bated breath, I excavated the sand, and to our collective relief, the lost promise ring emerged from its sandy concealment. Flavio, unaware of the successful retrieval, was pleasantly surprised when I presented him with the recovered ring.

Successful Recovery Mission: Lost Engagement Ring Rescued from Sneaker Wave at Rincon Beach Park

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Late last night, I received a distressing text from Ashley, who recounted the unfortunate loss of her engagement ring during a beach gathering disrupted by a sneaker wave. Amidst the chaos of the crashing wave and the hurried relocation of belongings, her precious three-week-old ring vanished into the expansive stretch of sand between the low and high tide lines—a daunting 100 yards long and 20 yards wide.

Upon arriving at the scene, I commenced the search at the most probable location. However, the silence of the sand offered no clues, indicating that Ashley’s ring lay elsewhere. With determination, we decided to retrace Ashley’s steps along the beach, covering the entire span of the gathering’s movement. Meanwhile, I marked a grid line with my scoop to ensure no area was left unchecked.

As Ashley led the way to the spot where they regrouped after the high tide, we meticulously combed the vicinity, methodically scanning the sand for any sign of the lost ring. After just three minutes of search, a clear, distinct tone echoed from beneath the surface—a promising indication of success. With precision, I retrieved the ring, now nestled safely within the scoop.

This successful recovery underscores the importance of perseverance and strategic search methods when faced with the challenge of finding lost jewelry. Ashley’s proactive approach in seeking professional assistance led to the swift retrieval of her beloved engagement ring.

Expert Recovery: Lost Gold Pendant Found on Silverstrand Beach Oxnard

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

This afternoon, I received a text from Dave, who found himself in a predicament after inadvertently misplacing his daughter’s cherished gold pendant and chain during a beach outing. Assigned the duty of safekeeping while his daughter indulged in boogie boarding, Dave secured the pendant in his shorts pocket. However, upon returning home, he discovered the missing pendant and a hole in his pocket, signaling its loss somewhere between the high tide mark and approximately 100 yards of dry sand.

Silverstrand Beach, where the incident occurred, posed a challenge due to its dynamic sand movements with each tidal cycle. Aware of the urgency, given the crowded beach and the widespread awareness of the missing pendant, I swiftly initiated the search. Despite initial targets yielding no success, intuition led me to conduct one final pass in the wet sand. And there, at the bottom of the grid, the long-awaited tone rang out, revealing the intact pendant and chain.

Approaching Dave under the guise of preparing for a shift to the dry sand, I unveiled the found pendant, eliciting a jubilant reaction from the surrounding crowd. Dave’s wise decision to seek professional assistance resulted in the successful recovery of the missing pendant.
