Metal Detecting Grouse Mountain Ski Resort for a lost Gold Wedding Band…Found
Friday afternoon I got a call from a young man who was visiting from Columbia, he told me he lost his gold wedding band while he and his wife were up at Grouse Mountain Ski Resort checking out the snow that has arrived early this year.
I was at work when he called and I know he was hoping I could come out that afternoon to help find his wedding band but I couldn’t get to him till the next day. We set a time to meet (8:45am) for Saturday and off we went to the top of the mountain.
When we got up there he showed me the area were the ring was lost in the snow, it wasn’t that deep. However there was lots of nails all around and that makes it a bit of a tough search! I just eliminated the possibilities and in less then 30 minutes in about 5 inches of snow I found his gold wedding band.

I love my job! As soon as I showed him the ring I could tell that they both were so happy! When I handed it to him he kissed his wife!

It was nice meeting you both today! Thank you for the kind reward! And I hope you enjoy Vancouver.

In looking at the bathroom we found a small open lip under the cabinet where the kick plate is. It was only a 1-1/2 inch opening that I could not even get my hand into, I got out my 3ft Detection Camera scope and worked it into the slot, nothing at first but on the second side, there in the dark glowing under the light from the camera scope was Les’s Platinum Wedding Band. I said, ‘hey Les, take a look at my detection screen, is that your Ring?’ He was so excited, he and I had to break loose the baseboard under the sink in order to reach it. He hollered for his wife, « they found It, they found it! » Another successful hunt for « The Ring Finders ».

This young lady lost a silver locket that was given to her by her grandmother, it was lost in the sand at Kits Beach and she didn’t realize that she lost it until she got home that evening. How do you replace something so special that was given to you by someone so special? The best thing this young lady did was post on the lost & found on the craigslist and then reply to my email. I just sent the info on my service called »The Ring Finders » and said I could help. She told her mother and they took a look at my directory/website and made the call. After discussing the search I was on my way to the beach to meet them both and look for her locket. I knew that there was a chance that another treasure hunter could have found it before me, I contacted a friend that I know searches Kits Beach and he said he didn’t find it so I felt like we had a chance.
After just 20 minutes of searching the area that the locket could have been in… I found it…Funny thing was it wasn’t in the area I was searching. She received a text message from a friend that sent her a picture of where they were sitting and she showed me a reference marker between two benches and two garbage cans. While I walked up to take a look at the text message I got a signal and kicked the sand to see her silver locket…The story of her locket continues and I was so happy that I could find it for her.
