Received a call from Frankie Monday 6-15-20 about his wife’s wedding ring. He had said she lost in the lake in bout four foot of water I said ok we’ll find it. Got there as quick as I could. Took a 15 minute boat ride to a very quite cove. I said ok tell me again wat happened. I listened to what she said nothing changed from her story before. No luck Monday so decided to try again Wednesday after work so decided to take a half day of work. Jamie (frankies wife) said she brought her own scoop. Yup this is what she brought wait don’t laugh. When we got back to the spot Wednesday and I started looking again in an expanded area. Two hours in the search still nothing I said I can’t believe we haven’t found your ring Jamie. I’m not kidding about an hour later guess what she found with her scoop she brought from home yes (using my extra equipment) – she found her own ring. I thought no way she was in a completely different area. I said how kool I’m glad you found it. That made it more special to her. Thanks Jamie and Frankie for getting ahold of me when you did. .

Lost your ring? Chris Turner 778-838-3463

Some searches are just harder than others, especially when the person doesn’t know exactly where the ring came out of their pocket. The other thing that makes this search difficult is it was lost on a fairly large field, a soccer field… After talking to Marco and hearing his story about where his ring may have come out of his pocket, I knew I would have to search the whole field. I brought in the heavy guns, my wife Beverley, it sure helps to have an extra detector when searching such a large area like a soccer field. It comes down to a game of inches and after six hours the first day and no luck finding the ring, I knew I had to come back for round two.  I talked to Marco and asked him to look around his house and check his car as he didn’t realize the ring was missing till the next day, after he was playing at the field with his son.

Marco called and said he couldn’t find the ring anywhere so my wife and I came back to do our second search of the field. The first search was an east-west grid search of the area. On our second day on the field we did a north-south grid search, this time it only took two hours to find the ring! Beverley and I were so happy to be able to find this beautiful ring for this young man, we knew he’d be very very happy to see it again. Beverley and I both said it was one of the most beautiful rings we’ve ever recovered for someone.

Got a call from Linda tuesday at work said her husband lost his wedding ring while playing in the swimming  pool with the kids .  I asked her if they looked in the pool she said yes and even the skimmer yes on that also.  Her husband had to leave town on business..  He got home later that night and to no ring as darkness was  on us… Now three days later Linda texted me again asked if i could come and check her neighbors yard- searched for bout an hour and said let’s go try your yard again..  This time instead of going to the left and going over what i did tuesday i went to the right.  His wife told me he rented a metal detector from a local shop with no luck. It always best to find someone in your area that is experienced with a metal detector that can help you out as soon as possible and get the lost ring back were it belongs..  Got started with a grid search went to the back fence and back towards the house  and got a good signal by the porch bent down and there it was saying you found me  picked it up Tom didnt see me and said i needed to go to my truck went thru the house and showed his wife.. She couldnt believe it..  I got my camera out and acted like nothing happened at this time tom was inside the house getting something to drink..  i asked Linda to go get tom so i could ask him what his wedding ring looked like again..  He looked down and when he did i said does it look like this one — tears flowed from Linda and Tom..  I asked him how he felt and said he didnt think it was never to be seen again thanks for the very generous reward Tom&Linda

Lost Platinum Wedding Band in Cloverdale BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a 911 emergency call the other morning to help find a lost platinum wedding band that was lost in a persons garden. The young lady wanted the ring found ASAP and unfortunately I was working and had to make her wait till the next day.

She told me that her daughter had thrown the ring in the garden and she was afraid that a bird might find it or a squirrel and the ring would be gone for good. I felt pretty confident if she couldn’t see or find the ring… they couldn’t either.

After talking about the next days search and ensuring her that I will find it, she then told me that she had gotten mad at her husband and tossed his ring in the back yard.

This happens a lot and most people don’t like talking about it, and most times I can’t get a video or a picture because they don’t want to be online showing others what happened and I completely understand.  I have had a couple of people in the past let me do my story in regards to getting mad and throwing the ring and that just shows others we are all human.

The search was an easy one, the ring had been stomped into the dirt near a shrub, that being said the young couple wouldn’t have had a chance to find it as it was already buried an inch or more.

I could tell that they were both happy and I was too! I get to meet some great people and hear the stories about their ring and what it means to them to get it back

I love my job!

Lost something?

Call me ASAP

Thanks for reading!

Best, Chris Turner
