Lost – Ladies Gold Diamond Engagement Ring, Edgewater, F

Late on Friday evening, I received a message on Facebook from Jodi. She had read my post about finding a lost ring and was hoping I could help her locate one she had lost back in October. I told her I’d give her a call first thing the next day.

When I spoke with Jodi the following morning, she explained that she had been wearing her engagement ring on a chain while helping a friend clean up after Hurricane Milton. At some point, she noticed the chain had broken, and the ring was gone. We made plans to meet at noon to begin the search.

As I drove toward Edgewater, I offered a quick prayer for guidance. Upon arriving, I met Jodi and Henrietta, the owner of the property. They showed me the area where they had been working. Since they’d been dragging brush and debris across a large section of the property, the ring could have ended up anywhere.

I fired up my Minelab Manticore and started scanning. My first hit was just a piece of yard debris, but the next signal sounded promising—a much more gold-like tone. After digging just a few inches into the soil, I uncovered something sparkling: the missing ring! The entire search had taken only two minutes.

Jodi was overjoyed, tears in her eyes as she hugged the ring close. Henrietta was equally thrilled to see her friend’s treasured possession returned.

…..Got a text from Marilyn just after Christmas 2024 stating her 2 gold rings went missing during her family’s celebrations. Hers was white gold w/ diamonds and her deceased mom’s ring is yellow gold w/ rubies. Marilyn remembered taking them off together but then couldn’t find them the next day. With lots going on Christmas day thinking back she was able to narrow the area in the house she felt was an area of interest. Mentioning she checked many locations I suggested we check again. Methodically going thru some items with my metal detector, a good signal sounded out. The rings appeared to have fallen into some bins and got stuck. Marilyn gasped in amazement as the rings appeared! Now with New Year here and the chiming of bells, She and her family will literally be ringing in the new year!

How to find ring with metal detector

Mitchell called about finding his lost chain and pendant, which had gone missing on a busy beach two days earlier. I reassured him that it might still be there and suggested we give it a shot. We agreed to meet by the closest road to where he had set up his chair that day.

I arrived a bit early and decided to start searching. The area was large, and I mostly found trash—usually a bad sign, indicating that another detector might have already combed the area. Something didn’t feel right, though, so I went back to review my notes. Mitchell had mentioned being closest to the middle chair, but when I first arrived, I only saw two chairs. Now that some swimmers had left, a third chair was visible, and everything clicked into place—I had been searching in the wrong spot.

This was a reminder of why it’s crucial for the person who lost the item to be there, and arriving early had thrown me off. Just as I realized this and headed to the correct location, I saw another detectorist pass by the spot where Mitchell believed his necklace should be. Fortunately, Mitchell had already arrived and confirmed the location, so we quickly began the search.

Within moments, I found his necklace safely in my scoop. Mitchell could hardly believe it; the necklace was a cherished family heirloom with immense sentimental value, and he had thought it was lost forever.

The call came after receiving a text from Kera. She explained that they had been in the middle of a playful snowball fight when her cherished gold Claddagh ring slipped from her finger and vanished into the white blanket covering the ground. After searching with no success, she reached out the Ring Finders South Jersey for help.
I met her parents at the scene and pulled out my metal detector. The snow had transformed the yard into an endless sea of white. After thirty minutes of careful scanning, the detector’s familiar tone broke through the winter silence. There, nestled in the yard, lay the gold ring—its distinctive Irish heart, crown, and hands design a welcome sight.
Everyone was relieved the ring was found!

I recived a call from Sandra on December 27 requesting my service to locate her newly purchased wedding band which had been lost on the 23 of December while walking to a store. She took a short cut down a sharp enbankment, fell half way down the hill, and felt the ring slip off her finger and into the snow.

Sandra called her husband Kevin to come and help her find the ring.  They both searched  for a couple of hours and having no luck they went back the next day.   Sandra than purchased a metal detector that just fustrated her even more because she did not understand how it worked. Sandra and Kevin went back a couple more times to search and again no luck.

Sandra called her daughter in Calgary and told her what happend.  She suggested to call the Ringfinders as there was someone in Edmonton that could possible help.  That is how Sandra got in touch with me.

After spending over three hours and not finding the ring I told Sandra she must have lost the ring somewhere else. Sandra felt that the ring had to be on the hill.  As a precaution I suggested that she should make a police report in the chance that someone would pick it up and turn it in to the RCMP.

While driving back from Sherwood Park this morning I started to think of the last few searches I had done.  I realized that prior to leaving my house this morning I had changed one of the coils on my detectors to search for a set of keys.   I decided to return and search for the Barrel Ring on the hill.  With in 2 minutes I found Sandra’s Ring only 18 inches from where she had  slipped!

Right away I called Sandra and told her the good news.   I had found her ring and I would immediately drop if off.

Lost Office Keys In The Snow Along Boulevard! Sherwood Park Alberta.

I recived a call from Tyler this morning for my assistance to locate his lost office keys.  Tyler told me he was walking home last night with his keys in his hand. He slipped on the side walk and the keys flew  into the snow bank . He searched for 2 hrs  with no luck.  His mother inlaw suggested a metal detector would work to locate the keys. Tyler searched the internet and found the Ringfinders web site which directed him to me.  The rest is history.

Lost White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Rings at Ulua Lagoon Beach Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I returned from a hunt at Aulani Lagoon.  Shannon on vacation from Mt. Airy, Maryland left a voicemail saying his wife Kelly lost two White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Rings in the dry sand of Ulua lagoon.  While applying suntan lotion Kelly had taken off her rings and placed them on a beach chair.  Then as she went to adjust her chair the rings flew off into the sand and disappeared.  They had looked carefully but they were out of sight.  I told Shannon I would be over from the other lagoon in a moment and he told me there location on the beach.  As I headed down to the beach Shannon noticed me with my gear and waved me over.  We moved a beach chair out of the way and I started a grid search.  On the second leg I got a nice #10 on the Manticore and in one gentle scoop there were Kelly’s beautiful rings lying together in the scoop.  I let her reach in and retrieve them.  Shannon stated that wasn’t where they were looking and realized Kelly really adjusted that beach chair with some force.  All good, vacation saved.  Aloha to Kelly & Shannon!

Defining the Boundaries……

….Is something all of us have had to deal with all our lives, from childhood when our parents set boundaries and now as adults where we set boundaries on finances, who we are friends with, and how much we want to deal with any situation and so on. Defining boundaries also creates an atmosphere of mutual understanding by showing respect for ourselves and gaining the respect from people in general. When John called me, he discussed his interest in locating his property markers to help him define the boundaries of his land before he started to trim some trees. Using my magnetic locator metal detector, we did some quick measurements to get us in the area for each concealed property iron. It was quick work with the magnetic locator to reveal each iron. Now with these fine lines clearly defined, it’s up to John and each neighbor to honor that boundary.

Christmas snowball fights are all fun and games—until someone loses a Cartier Panthère ring in the backyard! That’s exactly what happened to Chloe while she was tossing snowballs with (and at!) her cousin on Christmas Day.

Chloe and her dad, Jack, spent three days braving the cold, searching high and low in the snow for her stunning 18K yellow gold ring, but it was nowhere to be found. That’s when Jack decided to call in some reinforcements—me!

On December 27, I arrived, ready to turn their snowy backyard into a treasure map. With a little patience and the help of my trusty metal detector, we struck gold (literally) in just 30 minutes!

The moment we found it, the joy and relief on their faces said it all. Chloe got her beautiful Cartier Panthère ring back, and the snowball fight story gained a happy ending everyone will remember for years to come.

Moral of the story? Snowball fights are better without losing jewelry, but if you do, The Ring Finders are here to help!

Gold & Multi Diamond Ring Lost at Christmas, Found in West Kelowna

Danielle was visiting her Parents in West Kelowna over the Christmas Period. Two days before Christmas, before she entered her parents house she shook her hands to get the rain off, as she did she she felt her 14k multi diamond ring come of by a tree. They all spent three days searching for it, to no avail. Dec 26th she found my services on Google, and gave me a call. I had time before dinner so I responded right away, Danielle found me on Google, however it took 45 minutes to find their location as Google was out of date. Danielle showed me the location by the tree, not sure if it bounced off the tree or not. It did bounce off and landed in the long grass around the tree, which made it an easy search for a Metal Detector. Her Happy Christmas was restored.
