Diamond Wedding Ring Lost at Venice Beach, CA…Found and Returned.

Two days ago I received an email late in the evening from Raja regarding his wedding ring. He had been at the beach, and while brushing the sand off of his hands against his pants, his wedding ring flew off. He and his wife looked for it but were unable to find it. Later he was searching the internet and located The Ring Finders site where he found me. I emailed him back asking that he call, but he was unable to make the call until the next morning. He called, and I asked my standard questions, finding out that the loss was in a place that the County beach cleaning machines would not be going over, so I felt good about a recovery. I arranged to meet his wife at the spot yesterday morning because Raja had to work.

When I got there Raja’s wife Harpreet and her brother in law met me and took me to the area of the loss. After a brief question and answer session, I proceeded to search for the lost ring. I began at the furthest possible area away from the loss and worked my way back to where Raja had been standing when cleaning his hands. It was when I got to his previous position that I received a good signal, dug, and had his ring in my scoop. The ring had not gone very far, but had flown far to the left of his original position. I pulled it out and showed it to Harpreet who gladly identified it as her husband’s ring. She told me they had been married just 2 years, so the ring was a fresh token of their commitment to each other. Needless to say she was very happy to be able to go home and give it back to Raja. They asked that I not use pictures of them in the blog, so you get me with the ring instead. A nice day of smiles!

Platinum ring lost, found and returned from roadside! Big Island, Hawaii.

It was a long drive out to Kawaihae for me this morning from Kona – but it a much longer time for Ethan who had lost his ring after running out of gas a week ago.
Having returned to his car with gas, he managed to spill it all over his hands and shook them. When he did, his platinum ring flew off his finger to who-knows-where! It was instantly lost.
He’d gone back to the area numerous times and scoured the area with his hands in the dirt and grass, used a rake to hopefully bring it up and even gone at night with a flashlight in case he could see a glint off his platinum ring. No luck.
When he called me, he was doubtful I’d find it – even doubtful it had been lost there. « I’m 90% sure this is the spot I lost it… » he’d said.
I looked across the road and imagined it rolling to the other side. Trucks and traffic flew by.
Ethan had to go back to work at a local restaurant so I got out my Minelab Excalibur II and started immediately looking. Lots of trash at roadside – even in remote areas – nails, bottle caps, pull tabs, aluminum cans and …. then a platinum ring! It was so well ‘hidden’ under the dirt that even when it was in my hand and I was waving it over the detector coil, I couldn’t see it. I emptied the handful of dirt in my hand on a spot without grass or trash and poked through the sand and stones. There it was – lost no more!
I drove over to Ethan’s work and walked in with his ring in hand! A good day’s work – and a small stretch of roadside cleaned of trash!

iPhone 7 Lost at Manhattan Beach, CA, Found and Happily Returned.

I received an email from Amber last Tuesday morning asking if I might be able to help her find her iPhone. She had lost it 2 days prior at the beach, and was unable to find it. I asked her to give me a call, so I could discuss the loss with her, and she called right away. She told me that the « Find My iPhone App » said it showed it was still there the day after it was lost, and the area of the loss I knew was not a high trafficked area, so the possibilities of a recovery increased more. She let me know that she was at work, and could meet me later in the day, but I felt I should get on this search right away and asked for all the specifics. After getting all the information, I was on my way.

When I got to the spot, I was relieved to see that the area had not been cleaned by the County sifting machines, so I knew the possibilities of a recovery increased. I began my search, and after about 4 passes, and a few coins and other metal objects, I got a very strong overloading signal. I brushed the sand away with my foot so as to not damage her phone, if that was what I had found, and about an inch under the surface, there it was. I emailed Amber to let her know I found the phone, and she asked that I provide a picture. She was very excited that I was able to help, so we arranged to meet after she got off of work, When we met she and her friend were so happy. Amber told me she had already decided to buy a new phone, but that would have been a burden because she was to start nursing school soon, and really could not afford to spend the extra money. So happy to have made Amber’s day last week!

I received a call from Amanda requesting my assistance to locate a very special ring that she had lost on Saturday evening.  Amanda and her friends spent a good part of Sunday afternoon looking for her ring but with no luck. She then decided to goggle « Lost Ring » and my name popped up. She called me I agreed to meet her this evening.  Within five minutes of meeting we found her ring in the snow.   She could not believe that her ring was back on her finger in such a short time.

Lost Keys In The Snow Found In Royal Oak Michigan

College Cutie Gets Her Ride Back!!

This pretty, young lady awoke today only to find out she lost her car and work keys Friday night after she got home in the snowmageddon here in SE Michigan. She needed to go to class and work today and by time I responded to her there was only a few hours till she had to be there. When I got to the site we talked about where she parked and walked towards her apartment. I noticed the plows and maintenance people had moved lots of snow and there were huge, deep, hard ice packed snow mounds in the area where she was. We both discussed the possibility that a plow had snagged them and moved them who knows how far from where they were dropped! I got my MXT set up and started a grid search.
I checked a wide area in the street only to find nothing. We talked a bit more and she thought she maybe cut across the front yard to get into her apt quicker in the snow so I had a vibe and decided to check the area where I saw her footprints in the snow. Being that keys give a mixed signal I had to go on the MXT depth indicator to feel I was on target. Cutting thru the snow with my bigfoot coil I got a mixed iron/non ferrous signal at 0 inch depth and kicking the snow aside revealed her keys! I yelled over to her as she was levelling the snowdrifts in the street and texting her boss saying she had lost the office keys!
She couldn’t believe that I had found them and was so very excited that she could continue her daily routine despite the elements and losing the keys! She didn’t end up texting him after all but decided to tell him that she was able to find them with the help of a metal detectorist!

Lost White Gold Diamond Ring in Blaine Tennessee…Found

On Wednesday evening Feb 7th, 2018, I was feeding 3 of the horses in barn, I threw some hay in stall for them, watered them and then went in house. Next morning I had realized I was not wearing my wedding set!!! This was a new wedding set my husband had saved money to buy me for our 25th Anniversary just 10 months ago. I went to barn and one of the girls had already cleaned out all the stalls and threw the manure in field where it had been trampled over by least 4 other horses and had been raining for 4 days straight, it looked hopeless to say the least. I spent all that day in rain knee deep in manure and mud with small detector hunting for ring, the horses had been moved from barn to horse arena, so now it could been stepped on and in arena maybe, I spent next day for 7 hours in arena and nothing, I went back to barn opened stall doors and under door was the diamond wedding band but No solitaire diamond .

I found Ed Hart on line through www.theRingFinders.com and he is about two hours away, he gladly said he would be up next day. Saturday morning feb 11th 2018 Ed was right on time. He started in each stall and some of the manure in barn a hour into searching the rain started pouring again, he put on rain gear and we started outside the barn where girls had thrown manure from that Thursday, when stepping into the field area your boots would get stuck instantly was about 8 inch deep from all rain and mud. I had a area marked for him to search and he hit on something and started to dig then another hit, my husband started digging for him because mud was so bad you would get stuck in it, all the sudden where the hit was and my husband said I GOT IT! Lost Phone School Yard Terwillegar Neighborhood, SW Edmonton, Alberta

I received a call from Marnie on Wednesday evening asking if a metal detector could locate a I phone lost in the snow. I told her that it should not be a problem and asked if she knew the approximate area the phone was lost.

I met Marnie and her daughter yesterday afternoon at the school where her school class had been snowshoeing. She wasn’t sure exactly where she had lost her phone but it was along the path they had walked. After about one hour of searching we came up to some bushes and a small creek at the end of the field and this is where her daughter had fallen. That is where I found her phone buried in a foot of snow.

Both were very happy to have the phone back in their possession as all her personal identification was also in the phone wallet. This could have caused a huge problem had the phone ended up in the wrong hands Costly too.

Wedding Ring Lost in Sand at a Local City Park

Nick called me early in the morning, asking my help finding his wedding band that he lost the last night. He was doing his daily workout after work. After he finishes his two mile run, he stops by a local park that has some workout bars that he uses to do some upper arm exercises.

While working out on the bars his wedding band slipped off his finger into deep sand. Nick went back to his house to get tools to sift trough the sand with no success finding his ring.

The next day Nick found my contact information on TheRingFinders.com.
He would be working till late that night, making it impossible to meet me at the site of the loss.

No problem for me as it was a neighborhood tot lot that would be find if he texted me the address. These public parks get hit hard by other people with metal detectors, especially sandy tot lot play areas.

I went to the park but could not locate the area Nick had described. I could not contact him but he did call me to check on my progress and he had sent me the wrong directions. A half hour later I was at the right park and within a few minutes I found Nick’s wedding ring.
I called him setting up a place we could meet to personally give him his wedding band back after he got off work. He was definitely grateful, thanking me several times.

Its always nice to return the ring directly to the owner, I know I’ll never get tired of doing this.

Engagement Ring Lost In The Snow! Hamptons NW Edmonton Alberta

I received a call this morning from Rene requesting my assistance to locate his wife’s white gold engagement ring which she had lost last evening in front of their home.

When I arrived Rene showed me where the the ring was lost. There was two feet of snow, the temperature was  -20 with a windshield of -28 Celsius so it was not a pleasant day for searching.  However luck was on my side as with in five minutes I had found the ring and returned it to Rene. He was very grateful for my service.
