Max lost his cross pendant in the sand at Santa Monica Beach, and was hoping I would be able to help him find it. It was already dark, but I let him know that I would do the search none the less. It meant a lot to him, so I gathered my equipment, and was on my way.

When I got there Max Showed me the area of the loss. He did not leave the area, so it was easy to be sure that the area was secure. It only took minutes to find it because he had stayed. The important thing is that I was able to get his pendant back to him. His great smile is the tell all.

Custom Made Mens Gold Wedding Ring Recovered in Rockford Illinois.

  • from Rockford (Illinois, United States)

I received a text message from John on 5-20-26. He told me that he had lost his ring somewhere around his house the day before. We agreed to meet up the following day. The next day when I arrived I met John and he lead me to the backyard where he told me what all him and his neighbors were doing the day before and where. At some point while driving golf balls in the neighbors yard John noticed that his ring was lose so he took it off and put it in his pocket for safe keeping.  It wasn’t until later when he went to put his ring back on, that he noticed that his shorts had a hole in the pocket, and the ring was missing! I asked him about where he was standing when he took the ring off, and he showed me. So I started there. I did a basic grid search, starting on one side of the yard and working towards my left. On the second pass I got a solid, double tapping, 72 VDI signal on the DĒUS II. When I looked down I could just barely see a outline of John’s custom made 18K gold wedding ring tucked into his neighbors plush lawn!!

Success!!

Another smile for the book!!

It was dark already when Rahm called about his lost phone. He and some friends when running around in the sand when he noticed that his phone had come out of his coat pocket. They looked all around for it, but were unable to find it. I let him know I would leave as soon as possible to help him find it.

When I got to the beach, it was very dark, and it took me a while to find Rahm. When I finally did, he took me out to the area where they had been running, and explained what he did to possibly lose the phone. I then turned on my detector, swung about 3 times, and found his phone! He had put me almost right on top of it! It was a quick find, which made for a happy recovery.

Lost Family Heirloom Gold Found

  • from Bellingham (Washington, United States)

A day at Lake Whatcom turned bad when this gal came home without her heirloom ring. They were swimming in Lake Whatcom in Sudden Valley but before going in for a dip she took off some  jewelry and put it on her towel. Then upon returning picked up the towel to dry off and her jewelry was strewn all over the grass. This happens quite often. Matter of fact, many of the calls I get are lost items that were removed because they were afraid of loosing it. My advice to people is if you’re going to remove jewelry, put it into a zippered pocket or container of some sort. The other thing to be aware of is if you lose something in the grass make sure you get back to the location before the grass is mowed. This will dramatically increase the odds of finding it. Thankfully it had not been mowed and the ring was right where she thought it was and I was able to make the recovery.

Lost — Men’s Silver Tungsten Wedding Ring, Daytona Beach, FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I got a call from Keith early Sunday afternoon. He and his wife of less than a year, Kaylee, were enjoying Memorial Day weekend on Daytona Beach when a strong wave hit him in the surf. Instantly, he felt his wedding ring slip from his finger. He saw it briefly in the water and tried to grab it before another wave buried it beneath the sand.

I told him I’d head that way shortly. On the drive over, I said a prayer asking for guidance.

When I arrived, the conditions were rough. Strong waves, rising wind, and a hard northerly current made it difficult to stand in the waist-deep water. I fired up my Minelab Manticore and searched the area Keith described, but after several passes I decided to return Monday at low tide.

The next day I carefully gridded the exposed beach and searched north with the current, but still no ring.

On Tuesday, after another nearby search, I decided to give it one more try. When I arrived, Keith was there with a borrowed Nokta Triple Score detector. I gave him a quick tutorial and we both started searching.

A short time later, just south of the original area, I got a beautiful signal. Only a few inches down, after all the wind and pounding surf, was Keith’s wedding ring.

I held it up and shouted to Keith.

“No way!” he yelled as he ran toward me.

After three days, the ring was finally back home. Praise God

Handmade wedding band ring recovered Louisville, Colorado

  • from Lakewood (Colorado, United States)

“Objects with sentimental value are treasures that money can’t buy.”

Justine said “it doesnt have a lot of monetary value” but she made her own wedding ring as well as her husband’s. So you can imagine how special this ring was to her. She was visiting from out of town with her family and decided to play basketball with her son at a park nearby. She was sure she had lost it on the blacktop because that’s when she noticed something was not right. Quickly realizing her ring was gone, with her son’s help they searched the blacktop several times over and over. Assuming it had rolled or flew off into the grass, she called for help. I decided to start around the basketball court, did not take long as I did not go out far. With no success I had a hunch to just look over the blacktop before i expanded my search area. It was a small court so my guess was probably not there. But as soon as I took 2 steps onto it I saw my favorite color of blue. There it was. Maybe sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes searching without emotion. Can you spot the ring on the blacktop?

Monterey state beach ring lost & found

  • from Monterey (California, United States)

The persons from the prior post , (last night’s hunt) were able to now give a little of the back-story.  Thank you for allowing me to add that to my page.    (And thank you to the R.F. website host/designer for bringing the people together ) Here it is :

« … My stepdad lost his ring while playing football on the beach. It wasn’t just any ring.. My mom had customized it and gave it to him a few years ago. My mom had been battling cancer, and she passed away earlier this month, so losing the ring was honestly devastating for our family. We only had an hour before sunset and we weren’t far from the shoreline! With the tide, the fading light, and such a huge beach, we honestly felt completely doomed and thought there was no chance we’d ever see it again…until I called you.

What you did for us means more than I can put into words. Thank you for taking the time, effort, and care to help find something so deeply sentimental and irreplaceable. You gave my stepdad a piece of her back, and we’ll never forget that.

We are beyond grateful for your kindness and for the work you do helping people recover things that mean so much to them. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts….. »

Seaside beach / Monterey state beach, ring found

  • from Monterey (California, United States)

Fellow was tossing a football back & forth on the Seaside beach hotel (Monterey State beach).   The guy felt his ring fly off, in the direction he’d been tossing.  But couldn’t tell if it had gone straight down (at his feet area) versus « been launched afar ».  And since dry sand immediately swallows, it was immediately invisible, no matter where they looked.    After awhile, on their hands & knees, raking with their fingers, they found the Ringfinders directory.

I was able to be there within 20 minutes.  And within 5 minutes after that, Bingo !

Glad to help you folks.   You explained that this was a recently passed-down heirloom from your grandparents.   That made it all the more special !   And thanks for the tip.

Lost/Found Gold Ring Wedding Set In Milton, Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 05/05/26, I received a call from Randy requesting my help in finding a gold ring wedding set that belonged to his wife Carole. Randy said that the wedding set had been lost in the grass at the rear of their residence while Carole was hanging up their wash on the clothes line to dry. Randy said that Carole felt the two rings as they slipped off her finger but upon searching the grass under the clothes line the rings were no where to be found. Upon responding to Randy and Caroles residence I started to search the grass under the clothes line with my metal detector. After a few minutes into the search I determined that the grass so short and dry that if the rings were on the ground it would be possible to see and recover them by searching by eye sight. I determined that the rings were not on the ground under the clothes line. I noticed that Carole had hung up a fitted bed sheet on the clothes line so that it could dry. I grabbed my pin pointer and ran it along the bottom of the fitted sheet at which time my pin pointer began to sound off. The two lost rings had slid off of Caroles finger and landed in the bottom of the fitted sheet, Carole removed the rings from the sheet and placed them back on her finger where they belonged.
