Lost Pendant Found in Lincoln RI

On November 15, 2023, I received a call from Allison, who lost a beautiful onyx pendant while visiting Chase Farm in Lincoln.  She decided to search the internet for help and found my information.  She asked for my help to find her lost pendant.  The next day, I met her at the farm where she had lost the pendant.  It was a large area.  Allison told me that her chain broke and showed me two different areas of the farm where the pendant could be. I search the first area and didn’t find the pendant.  After searching the second area with no success, I started thinking that someone may have found it already.  That’s when I decided to expand the search beyond these two areas, and I found the pendant.  Frequently, lost items are not in the area where you think they are lost, and you have to search outside the box.  It’s a good thing I did.  As you can see, Allison was delighted to have the pendant back.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found in Rehoboth MA

I received a call from Dick, who told me he had lost his gold wedding band while doing some work in his yard.  The ring was lost while he was putting up a temporary fence around an area of the lawn that had just been seeded in order to keep their sweet dog out of the area.  After the fence was installed, Dick realized that he had lost his wedding ring in the process.  He decided to search the internet for help, and that’s when he found me.  When I arrived at Dick’s house, he showed me the area where he had installed the fence.  I searched the area for about an hour and found Dick’s ring.  He couldn’t believe that it had been recovered.  Dick, and his wife of over 40 years, were very happy that the ring was back on his hand where it belonged.

Lost Platinum & Diamonds Ring at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a call from Chad who was on a family vacation from Bountiful, Utah and staying at the Marriot Beach Club at Ko Olina.  While Chad and his lovely wife Wendy were playing catch with a football in the shallow waters of Nai’a Lagoon, Wendy noticed her ring was missing from her finger.  Not knowing exactly when it fell off the search area was rather large but only waist high and the tide was going out.  Chad passed the phone to Wendy for some more details about the search.  I just had lunch arrive but as soon as I was finished I told Wendy I’d pack up and be right over.  Traffic was excellent so the ride from Kaimuki to Ko Olina was just over 30 minutes.  When I arrived Wendy & Chad showed me on the beach where to start and the grid search began.  After about 30 minutes I got a nice tone and there in the scoop was a yellow 14k gold ring but not Wendy’s.  Wendy and Chad came down to the beach and I showed them what I had found.  Obviously not what they wanted to see but I was getting close to the end of the search area and getting hopeful.  About 4 more grid lines.  Then on the second to last grid line I got another amazing tone on the Manticore and on the second scoop Wendy’s stunning Diamond packed Platinum ring was finally recovered.  I yelled over to them in the beach chairs, « Got it for sure this time! »  Wendy and Chad were exhaustedly relieved and we shook hands and hugged.  Me wishing I had started from the other end and not making them wait so long.  Success is bliss!  Much Aloha to Wendy & Chad!

Lost Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Royal Hawaiian Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from Andrew who was on work travel to the islands as a sports photographer from Knoxville, Tennessee.  While enjoying the Royal Hawaiian beach with his lovely wife Jessica her Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring went missing when she discovered it gone in their hotel room.  They had the where withall  to go back to the spot on the beach and begin a search.  After that attempt Andrew googled lost ring Waikiki and found theringfinders website.  I had just gotten home from work and since this was a dry sand search I told Andrew I’d load up my gear and get there as quick as possible.  No traffic and no parking issues so I arrived about 20 minutes later.  Jessica explained the circumstances of the loss and the most likely place would be where she shook off her beach towel.  Thankfully, that area was free of sunbathers so I was able to start an immediate grid search.  I could tell Jessica was devastated and had been crying so I wanted this to be quick find.  On the second leg of the search I got a solid #16 on the Manticore.  I looked over at the two of them and said I think we have it.  It took two scoops but no doubt there was Jessica’s beautiful Engagement Ring in the scoop.  I let her reach in and recover it as cheers went up on the beach.  There was some clapping and whistling and someone told Jessica that took 2 minutes and 32 seconds.  Not my fastest, but right up there.  I actually turned my detector on once and the ring was directly under the coil!  We shared a few hugs and Andrew said thanks for being our Hero! I don’t know about that but I sure do enjoy a successful hunt.  Aloha to Jessica & Andrew!

Lost wedding ring at the beach, Seaside Park NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

I received a call from Jay about locating his wedding ring that had flown off his hand while brushing some sand off his son earlier in the day. He was positive of the location, which was just behind where their chairs and stuff were set up on the beach. I told him I would head right out, and would be there ASAP, but the traffic was pretty bad, and to just be patient. About 30 min. later he met me in the parking lot, we talked a bit about the events leading up to the ring flying of his hand as we walked down the path to the area where they were it happened. He showed me the circle where he believed the ring should be, which was about 20′ in diameter, but he had no luck locating it prior to me arriving. I did a complete search of the area Jay had pointed out, but the ring was not there, so I asked him to duplicate the exact motions when the ring slipped off his finger. He was facing the water, and with his demonstration I immediately knew which direction to expand my search. On a narrow path about 5′ from the original search area, the ring was in my scoop. Jay was very surprised how far the ring had traveled, but very grateful to have it back. Many times when recovering items you have to look beyond the obvious.

Friday the 13th Horror turns to Saturday the 14th Happiness – Ring found with metal detector – Pittsburgh, PA

This one starts out with the proverbial « needle in the haystack »…. I received a text from a client who was at a pumpkin patch and her husband had just lost his wedding band playing in a hay area. While looking for the ring a nearby patron said hey – my mom lost her ring a while back and a guy came out and found it…let me get you his number (thank you for the referal – small world!!). So unfortunately I was unable to head out that night, luckily the farm was closing soon and the clients had secured permission for me to come out first thing in the morning.

I went out the next morning and met Jennifer and Brian who showed me where the ring was lost. There was a large shed with hay bales stacked up and hay all over the floor. I began to search right way…I was told I could search but only until they opened. It was a very rainy day and I was informed I could take my time because of the weather. Fortunately it was not long when I hit that sweet sound of a gold wedding band.

Brian and Jennifer were surprised as to where it was located when I found it. It was on the opposite side from where they had been looking. I was happy to return his wedding band and as always it is great to meet kind and generous people. Also – a big shout out to Hozak Farms for allowing me to come out and search for the ring – Thank you!

Who says there is never a ring finder around when you need one??? LOL. I was driving home and I live close to a golf course so as I was passing by I saw a friend’s car and pulled in to say hello. It looked like he and a few other people were looking for something…low and behold – a lost ring. He started laughing and said your ears must have been burning. I got out chatted for a few but I did not have my equipment and the person who lost the ring was not there. I told my buddy – I will be back to find it in the morning.

So the next morning I went back and met with Dean. He was taking his jacket off and his ring got caught in the sleeve and flew off. He was in a parking spot right next to the driving range and the ring was somewhere in the grass. I immediately got to work. After about 45 minutes I located the ring. I dont always have the opportunity to do it but I measured…the ring flew 18 feet away from where he was when he lost it.

Dean was very happy to have his ring back and I was glad to have been able to help!

Gold wedding band from Argentina found on Florida beach. Naples

While vacationing and spending his final day with wife and kids on the beach in Florida before getting ready to return to Argentina, Nicholas suddenly noticed that his gold wedding band had slipped off his finger.  He did the right thing, said a prayer, for “it’s only lost until you call.”  Another prayer answered,  thanks be to God!!!

Lost gold pendant – Fairhope, AL

I got a call from Brad earlier this week about a small pendant that was lost in his yard a couple days prior. He was in Fairhope which is only about 20 miles away from me on Dauphin Island as the crow flies, but is over an hour drive because it’s “across the bay” as we like to say here. Because of the distance, we mutually agreed that an afternoon later in the week would work best for both of us.
The day finally arrived and I talked my hubby into a nice little afternoon drive. After running into an unmarked detour and a street that was so new it wasn’t on my car’s GPS, we finally found his house. After carefully listening to the details of how it was lost, we both sectioned off a portion of the yard and started gridding. Almost an hour later just as we were almost about to give up, I heard a shallow target with a promising tone on my Nox 800. I simultaneously looked down and there was the tiny 18K gold pendant with a stone nestled in the grass ! Yay !! I happily knocked on the door and dropped the little pendant into Brad’s hand. I always love the surprised look I get. Brad stepped out and quickly pulled a very generous monetary reward out of his pocket which, as always, I just as quickly turned down. Karma is always my best reward ! Brad declined my request for a picture of him, but he did let me take a picture of his two adorable little girls who looked very happy that Mommy and Daddy were happy.

Lost Sentimental Silver Ring at Kahala Beach…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from the Kahala Hotel and Resort Concierge asking if I was available for a guest’s lost ring recovery at the beach in the water.  I responded that I was currently on a ring hunt and could be reached in about an hour and to give their guest my contact number.  While driving home from that successful recovery I got a call from Sune who was visiting Oahu from Copenhagen, Denmark.  As he was starting to swim the backstroke his Sentimental  Silver Ring fell off in chest deep water.  He borrowed a mask and snorkel but the water was too murky to see anything.  I told Sune since it was getting late I’d get on the tide chart at my home computer and call him back for the best time to hunt the following morning.  It so happened sunrise at 6:30 would be the beginning of a low tide and we agreed to meet in the hotel lobby.  When I arrived Sune showed me the area he was in and it was perfectly calm water although the surf was breaking on the outer reef.  Anyone who knows this beach it gets mucky in many spots and difficult to keep on a grid.  I decided to start shallow and work deep parallel to the shore.  I asked Sune if the depth I was at would be good and he said lets start a little bit shallower.  So I did.  I started the grid search and my first target was a nice high tone.  I took a scoop and as the scoop broke the surface I had a wad of gray muck and green algae in the scoop.  I got a glimpse of a silver shine and as I pulled the goop out of my scoop the silver ring was tangled in the algae.  OMG!  Had Sune not told me to go that little bit shallower I would have hunted for hours and not found it.  These Kahala Beaches have played many tricks on me in the past and each time the ring had been found more shallow then expected.  As you can imagine Sune was so grateful to have his sentimental ring back before he flies to Los Angeles this evening.  Aloha to Sune!
