Mens White Gold Wedding Band Lost/Found Rehoboth Beach Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 07/16/22, I was contacted by Guy requesting help in locating his white gold mans wedding band that had been lost on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Guy stated that he had placed his wedding band in a zippered pocket of his bathing suit for safe keeping while he was swimming. Guy said that after he came out of the water, he had put another item in the same pocket of his bathing suit that he had placed his ring. Guy stated that he believed that his ring had fallen out of his pocket into the sand when he removed the other item from the pocket for someone to look at. I met Guy at the beach at 6:00 pm after the beach was clear of people. Guy was able to place me in the exact area that he believed that his ring had fallen out of his pocket into the sand. I began a grid search and on my second pass I was able to recover the lost ring. The lost ring was returned to its rightful owner so that Guy would be able to celebrate his upcoming 20th wedding anniversary with his original wedding band on his finger.

Lost Engagement Ring Underwater, Found, Cape Cod, Sea Shore, Returned

Rick and I were metal detecting at a local saltwater beach area this morning. As we were almost done, and not much to show for it, we decided to get a quick lunch break in. That never happened, a guy stopped Rick in the water, and said that his friend Katelyn, had just lost her engagement ring. Katelyn’s Engagement Ring was lost only a half hour before, underwater. She was throwing a football with friends. Rick motioned to me, and we began to grid the area. Katelyn was getting nervous, and having second thoughts that she may never see it again. I assured her that we would prevail and to not give up till she sees us give up. I asked her to stay in that area, and to not walk away, so I could do my job with precision. Her Husband, and about five others were trying to locate it with snorkel and masks, but turned up nothing. I started to move over to broaden the search area. As Rick and I crossed paths, he saw me stop and start to dig, he asked me if I had it? I honestly wasn’t sure, it was a scratchy sound but on the third try sure enough it was in my scoop. When I motioned to Katelyn to come over to have a look. I asked her to describe it again. She was so excited that I had it. I told her she was a lucky girl today. Everyone around us were cheering and clapping. Even her friends up on the beach were yelling, I actually felt like a celebrity LOL Its such a fantastic feeling to return it to the owner. Another great day at the beach. Congratulations Katelyn ! Leighton.

Ring lost at Coronado Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Adrian called me asking for help finding his wife Rosi’s ring. They are visiting here and were enjoying the warm day at the beach. Soon after setting up camp, Rosi took her ring off to apply lotion, the ring was dropped, and it ended up in the deep dry sand. That should be simple to find just with your fingers, right? Nope, after straining sand through their fingers for over a half hour, they realized they needed help. TheRingFinders.com to the rescue! Adrian was kind enough to reserve me a parking spot at this busy beach. We met in the lot and proceeded to hike down the beach to the search area. The spot was already outlined with an eight foot diameter groove in the sand and I could see where they had been searching. Turned on my detector and less than a minute later, I got the signal I was expecting and found Rosi’s ring just under the surface inside the circle right where their fingers had already raked. A relieved Rosi and Adrian can now continue to enjoy their vacation. A pleasure to meet you two and thank you for the reward.

Bike Key Missing on beach. Found on Cape Cod. One return leads to another.

The Key to Success.

A few days ago I was asked to help recover a ring that was possibly dropped as leaving the beach. Richard Browne a ring finder and myself grid the area to no avail. While searching for the ring I found a key with a tag that looked like it went to a bike lock of some sorts. I didn’t think much of it, till Rick waved me over. He was chatting with Pierre that was on his bike, and he was asking if we had found a key that he had been there searching for it the day before. I told him yes, that I had found a key and sure enough it fit perfectly into his bike lock. Great to save all objects when you can. Un expected return.

Sincerely Leighton

Lost ring at Mission Beach Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Tammy and family are visiting here from Kansas and went to Mission Beach for a day in the sand. Tammy’s ring finger was a bit swollen and her ring was bothering it a bit, so, she removed it and put it on her pinky finger. Some time later, she noticed it missing and searched the area a bit where they were sitting, but, no luck finding it. An online search found TheRingFinders.com and my contact info. I got the call for help from her friend Matt, gathered my gear, and headed down to the beach to battle the traffic and parking. I got a parking spot about a half mile away and hiked to the search area where I met Matt and Tammy and got a look at the search area. Just a small section where I could see where they were set up and an even smaller « box » outline in the sand. I started at one edge of the area, and immediately got a solid 15 on my Equinox. Nope, just a pull tab. Made the return pass, and started my next pass, where right inside the « box » I got another solid 15 reading, and it was Tammy’s ring. A happy Tammy can now catch her train out of town today without a sad tale of what was lost. A pleasure to meet you and thank you for the reward.

Story goes….
The couples 5 yr old son had a mini treasure chest he was playing with, and mom/dad allowed him to put their wedding rings into it. What could go wrong? Right? They were right by him, walking up their driveway towards the street. They started playing around and chased the 5 yr old. Apparently to get the box back or jokingly get it back. Well, the boy decided to throw it to home plate from first base! 😱🤣 Mom saw her ring hit the ground then disappear! Son found the box, dad found his ring, but moms ring was nowhere to be found! After hours of searching and moving leaves, they finally found me on “THE RING FINDERS. Com” and asked for help!
It was a 2 hour drive one-way to get to their house and try to find it.
I get there, get the backstory and the general area to search. I searched and searched for almost an hour. I was beginning to lose hope. I then started expanding my search area and got up to the natural area and went around a small cedar tree when I get a VDI 51-53! I bend down and BOOM! There’s the shiny object I had been looking for!!! It had traveled from the street, through the cedar tree and landed about 8 inches from the base under it and under a bunch of leaves!

I received a call from Mark, saying he had lost his 14K white gold class ring in a field with high grass. Along with a few other items. I agree to meet him yesterday after work. Once I get there, I realize this one is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack with how tall the grass was. I finally had to use my truck to flatten down some of the high grassy areas.

I geared up and began swinging and listening to all the tones. I wasn’t 100% sure what this ring would sound like, since I have never found a man’s High School class ring yet.

After about 3.5 hours of swinging, fighting the heat, sweating, bugs and high grass I called it a night. I decided to return the next day, since I had to come back up that way already for something else.

I used my truck again, to flatten down more high grassy areas so I could have better chance at finding this ring. After about another 2 hours of swinging, sweating and digging signals to get them out of the way. I finally get that sweet sound of GOLD!! Solid VDI 53 on the Garrett AT MAX w/the Reaper coil!! BOOM it had been found. I called Mark up and we met up while he was working his Amazon route nearby to return his ring to him!

I love doing this for folks. I wish I could find them all, but I especially love the ones I am able to find and return!!

Aggie Ring and Wedding Ring Lost in MUCK in Ennis, Texas Lake

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got a call from a young man who had been riding a horse with his wife and decided to cross the lake to the island in the center.  As they entered the MUCKed Up section the young man’s horse sank up to his belly in the MUCK.  He crawled off his horse and crawled through the MUCK to the shore.  Concerned that they would need a tractor to get his horse out he sent his wife to get a ranch hand to assist.  But the horse was able to break free and get himself out.  Then he realized that both his Aggie Ring and his Cobalt Ring were gone.  He looked over at the MUCK and thought the worst.  He may never see his rings again.

Then he checked the all knowing “Google” to rent a metal detector and during his search the Dallas Ring Finders listing came up.  We scheduled to come in the next day.  We were able to locate both rings in under a minute, see the full video on our channel “Dallas Ring Finders”, another happy customer  for the Dallas Ring Finders.

Ring lost at Fiesta Island Found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Angie and Steve came to San Diego to enjoy a day at Fiesta Island and the Over-The-Line Tournament going on yesterday. Angie removed her beautiful engagement ring to apply some lotion, set the ring in her lap, and…..well, you can guess the rest. The ring ended up in the soft sand and disappeared from view. They and others around them tried to find the ring, but, to no avail. Some consultation with others, an online search, contact with fellow RingFinder Curtis Cox further north and his referral to me, got the ball rolling. They were still there at the site, so, I gathered my gear and headed out for the normally short 10 mile journey…..and a journey it was. It took an hour to get there, and parking was virtually non-existent. I managed to squeeze between two vehicles parked at the edge of the road (with just a couple of inches on each side to spare) and park down on the beach. A short hike to meet Steve, and an even shorter hike to the search area. This event has been going on here for decades and always draws a huge crowd. The search area was right next to one of the dozens of ball fields, where spectators have been dropping pull tabs, bottle caps, and other metal trash from day one. I expected this to take a while to sift through. Steve and Angie cleared the area of chairs and other items while I fired up the detector and donned my gear. Sure enough, all sorts of signals were hitting my ears with just the slightest movement of the coil. One nice strong 12 on my Equinox alerted me to a shallow target after only a minute or two. I zeroed in on the signal with my pin pointer and pulled Angie’s « precious » out into the sunlight again. Cheers went up all around the area, and a very happy Angie and Steve can now travel home in a much better frame of mind. A pleasure meeting you, thank you for the reward, and best wishes with your upcoming marriage.

Lost Mens Rose Gold Wedding Band Found At Rehoboth Beach Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 06/27/2022, I received a call from fellow New Jersey ring finder John Favno regarding a lost mens wedding band on the beach at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. John said that he had been contacted by a lady by the name of Sissi regarding the lost ring and he provided me with a phone number for Sissi. I then called Sissi to find out the particulars regarding the loss of her husbands ring. Sissi said that her husband lost his ring off of his finger when a wave hit his hand. I asked Sissi to send me some pictures of the beach and area of where the ring had been lost. After looking at the pictures that Sissi sent to me I decided that I would attempt to find the missing ring. I met Sissi and her husband (Jean) on the beach about an hour later, I asked Jean to go out and stand in the water in the area that he had lost his ring. Jean walked out into knee deep water at which time I searched around him for the ring, I did get a signal and what I dug up was a pair of sunglasses. After not locating the ring out in the knee-deep water I started to search the area where the waves were just breaking and the water was about ankle deep. I got another signal and upon digging it I found the lost ring in my sand scoop. The lost ring was then returned to a happy couple, Sissi told me that she and Jean had been married for eleven months and that their one-year anniversary was coming up in the month of July. I would like to wish Sissi and Jean a Happy Anniversary! Thank You Fellow Ring Finder John Favno for the referral!
