West Dennis Beach Holds Lost Platinum Ring

Got a call from Rick Browne another Ring Finder Saturday evening. He asked me to join in a hunt for a lost Platinum Wedding band from the day before. I said of course I’ll join in. We met the next morning at his place, then met up with the owner (Alex) at the West Dennis beach. As usual, Rick & I took our approach and went at it. I had asked Alex to go into the water, and stand in the spot he believed it to have come off of his finger while playing football. He was trying to remember, but seemed as though things looked different to him today. Rick & I had grid an area about about 100 x 100 square foot = 10,000 square feet.

We were running out of area to search. I turned to see Rick looking at his machine, I said whats up? He replied with great sorrow, he replied my battery is dead. I said no worry I’ll keep looking for it. I broadened the search area,  Alex called in a lifeline to his brother. He helped in this recovery as best as he could. I kept searching, and in the process, I found two sterling rings that had been lost many moons ago. We were running out of more area now, It had been almost 3 hours of searching, and yet no Platinum Wedding band.

As I got closer to Alex I told him I think that’s about it buddy. He said he had waved the white flag and chocked it up as gone forever. All three of us were walking out of the water, I got a signal that I was sure it was it…. NO…. it was a Quarter this time. Something told me to turn right just a little and yes another signal… could it be? sounds good…I dug down one scoop and finally the Platinum wedding band was in my scoop. I looked up and said you are a very lucky man today.  Alex was running over to me, he couldn’t believe I got it after so long. He teared up, and said Thank You so much. Rick & I congratulated him, out of the water we went, mission completed. Lot’s of joyous comments on the way back to the truck. Alex was was so happy we didn’t give up easily… Persistence did pay off. Congratulations Alex… Glad we found it.

Forestdale Mass Gold Band Recovered for Goalie

I received a call from Tom on Cape Cod about a White Gold Band, he lost it the night before. He was practicing with his boys on a soccer field, and when he tried to stop a goal, the ball hit his hand, and there went the ring. They searched for a couple hours with no luck. They had two other detectorists try to locate the ring, and again no luck. That’s when he called me. I met up with Tom at the area, and within about ten minutes he was reunited with his Gold 14K Gold Band. Experience helped out in this case, with what tone to listen for, and overlapping the search area. Congratulations Tom.. So happy I had a hand in this one.

Surf City, NC: Lost Wedding Ring Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Justin was spending time in the ocean along the Surf City beach and told me he noticed something in the sand.  The waves were rough that day and as he tried to grab the item, he felt his wedding ring slide off to be lost in the surf.  I attempted a recovery that same day against the rising tide and stronger waves but it wasn’t safe and my attempts were not productive.  I told Justin, I’d return the next day and try again.

The waves were rough and the wind was strong but not as bad as the previous day.  I completed many passes both in and out of the water with my CTX-3030 with only shreds of aluminum and 1 can pull-tab for my efforts.  I then started to go over the areas I missed in the water using my GPS map and in ankle deep water at low tide I received a faint signal.  After about 4 scoops into the surf, the signal was gone and I still didn’t know what I had removed.  I dumped the pile of sand and shells on the beach and used a pinpointed to find Justin’s ring hiding under the pile.  This beach was recently replenished with sand from a quarry and heavier items sink quickly in the surf.  I think after another high tide, I would not have been able to find his deeply buried ring.

Lost wedding ring Recovered and returned Victoria

Gail was enjoying her Hot Tub. While she tried flicking hair off of her hand, her ring came flying off.

After a long search she contacted me and after a 20 minute search I had her ring back where it belongs and her finger.

Lost Gold Emerald Wedding Ring Recovered Along Emerald Isle, NC Beach

Suzie & James were visiting family and celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary on the Western end of Emerald Isle, NC.

James was at the beach setting up a sunshade as he had done many times before…  Not long afterwards, it was discovered his claddagh style wedding band was missing.  The house was searched unsuccessfully and it was determined it possibly came off during the beach set up trip.

The following day, Suzie found Crystal Coast Ring Finders after performing a search to rent a metal detector.  I headed to them as soon as possible and began a search of the area James selected that day. The very first target after about 6 passes sounded loud and I knew it was not very deep in the sand.  I used my fingers to dig down to expose that wonderful golden circle of James’s ring.  Suzie had returned to the house and James was walking away at the time.  I got this attention and motioned him to come.  I wanted James to raise his ring from the 4 inch hiding spot.  He immediately called Suzie and the smiles broke out once again!

Wedding band recovered in Sea Girt NJ

Got a message from Leah asking for help in locating a friends wedding band at Sea Girt beach. I told her to get me as much information about it and i’ll head right down. While driving to the beach I got a call from Inger the woman who lost the ring, she is visiting from Norway. She was able to give me a pretty good idea as to where to look for it. It seems while enjoying the day at the beach she put her jewelry in the cup holder on her beach chair. When it was time to leave she started putting it back on and started to gather stuff up and didn’t get the chance to put her ring back on yet. Not knowing this her son went and folded up the chair and the ring went flying into the sand. Everyone started to look for it but didn’t have any luck. I got to the beach and she told me about where to look and to look for the holes they dug and the dig marks looking for it. Sure enough I saw where they were sitting and digging and after about 10 minutes I had her ring in the scoop. I called her to tell her the good news and made arrangements to meet up with her the next day. A happy ending for all.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found in Tigard, Oregon

I received a text from Kyle saying he had lost his gold wedding ring in his front lawn several days ago. He and his wife had tried several different approaches to locate it, but had no luck. He said he had found me on Ring Finders, and asked if I would be willing to come help him out. I told him I could be there the next morning, and we were set.

I arrived and met Kyle, who showed me the area he suspected the ring had departed his finger. On the day in question, we had some heavy rains in our area. As he was moving the trash bin to the curb, he stopped to shake out a tree limb that was being weighed down by all the water. When he let go, the limb snapped-up and he felt it catch on his ring. The area had a nice, thick lawn, which about 3″ tall. Kyle went back in the house to work, telling me to give him a yell if I needed anything, and I pulled ot the AT Gold and started under the tree. I immediately got an interesting hit, but it seemed too deep and scratchy for a gold ring, so I moved on. I started an East-West grid across the lawn. After my second pass, I just had to go back to the signal under the tree. I had to cut a small plug and about an inch down, there it was…a AA battery. Back to the grid.

Right away I heard another good one just on the edge of the lawn. Scraping away dirt I didn’t see anything, but the pinpointer told me there was something there. I pealed back the sod and pulled out a  bent, copper bracelet that had been there a long time. Not being what I was after, I set it aside and moved on. Maybe two steps further and I heard that golden tone. Sweep from the other direction and knew. Pulled apart the grass and there it was. About a 25 min. search.

Us Ring Finders are always looking for interesting ways to return folks lost items, so I called Kyle thru the window, asking him how big the ring he had lost was. He came outside, saying he thought it was something like a size 12. I held up the braclet-thing and said, « So, it’s not this big then? » We had a chuckle and talked about the item, then I pointed to the ring in the grass, asking him « Or is it more like this? » He seemed genuinely suprised to see his ring again and said he ‘Could just hug’ me. We went with a hardy handshake.

White Gold Wedding/Engagement Band Set-Found!

Ryan contacted me several weeks ago about his wife’s white gold wedding/engagement band set she had lost in a grassy area of the apartments where they lived in Chattanooga.  Because of his busy work schedule he had a difficult time getting the search arranged.  I think he had actually purchased an off-the-shelf metal detector at a local store, but was apparently overwhelmed with the large amounts of metallic trash in the ground.  We finally managed to arrange a search on June 9th.  I arrived at the location at 7:15 PM on June 9th.  I started my search as soon as I got the story from him, because we didn’t have much daylight left.  Around 35 minutes later I found the engagement band portion totally hidden below the grass around four feet from the base of a large tree.  It took me right at an hour more to find the wedding band portion, and it was about twenty feet from where I found the other half.  It ended up being in an area outside of the original search zone.  The grass had been cut, so maybe that’s how it ended up being over there.  This portion of the ring was in full view of anyone walikg by, so it’s amazing nobody had seen it.

North Wildwood NJ, 2 Gold Rings found!

I received a call from Lindsay who explained that she had lost both of her rings in the sand this afternoon. Lindsay had taken her rings off and placed the rings on her lap to apply sunscreen. She then stood up and moved about the beach before she realized what had happened. I took the short ride over to North Wildwood and met up with Lindsay. After a brief search she had both rings back on her fingers. One of which had extreme sentimental value as is it was her late mothers ring. Lindsay was referred to me by a previous client that I had recovered an engagement ring for back in 2016 on the very same beach!

Gold Wedding Band Lost From Emerald Isle Beach House Deck Found By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

David informed me he was on the raised deck putting on his sandals and noticed a sound like something dropped.  A very short time afterwards, he noticed his wedding band of 5 years was missing.  David and others searched sand below the deck but were unsuccessful in their attempt.  Andy who was in the group started an online search for a nearby metal detector to rent and found The Ring Finders.  Andy called me and I headed their way.  I arrived within an hour of the call and after gathering information and explaining my Minelab CTX-3030, I headed down the sandy area next to the home.  The ground was littered with various signals and even though I had my sensitivity turned way down, I was getting numerous target signals.  I guessed the approximate area the ring would have landed and turned on my Garrett Pro-Pointer AT for a more precise search of each item.  The very first item I pulled up from sand was David’s sparkling gold wedding ring
