Lost Diamonds & Gold Wedding Band at Hilton Hawaiian Village…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a call from Gabrielle who was on her honeymoon from Ohio. While relaxing on the beach at the Hilton Hawaiian Village she took her engagement and wedding rings off and placed them on a towel on her lap. After a period of time she got up and not remembering the rings were in her lap they fell into the sand. The engagement ring was easily spotted but the wedding band was gone. She googled losing a ring and got Dave Sheldon on Maui who told her to look up « theringfinders » and that’s how she found me. I told her I was just getting off work and could grab my Equinox and head down to the beach in about 45 minutes. When I arrived her husband took me down to the area of the beach they were lounging at. I asked to move the aluminum beach chairs then fired up the Equinox and started a grid search. It wasn’t but ten seconds I got a #7 on the Nox and two scoops down was Gabrielle’s ring. It was directly under the chair and someone must’ve stepped on the ring to push it that deep. Quick recovery and honeymoon restored to bliss. Hugs & handshakes. Aloha to Gabrielle and her husband!

Custom Artistic Pendant Lost at Manhattan Beach, CA…Found and Returned.

I received a call from Henry this morning about a pendant he lost yesterday at the beach. He had purchased this custom artwork pendant while on a trip to Italy, so it had significant meaning to him. The pendant had been on a chain around his neck while he was playing beach tennis. During the game, which is high energy and fast paced, the pendant came off of the chain and went into the fine sand. It wasn’t long before he noticed it gone, but did not know when it came off. He did some searching in the sand, but soon realized the futility of searching so much area with only his hands. He found me on the web, called and I agreed to meet him as soon as I could.

When I got to the beach Henry met me and we walked down to the sand and the court where he had been playing. We talked about what happened, and I asked a multitude of questions reassuring him that if it was still here, I would find it. I also explained that I would be searching outside of the area just in case it had been knocked out of the area of play somehow. I searched where he originally thought it may have been lost, it wasn’t there. I then went to the next possible spot, it wasn’t there either. I then said that I would search the whole court, both sides to ensure we covered all possibilities. I was searching in the first side and made about 3 passes when I got a good signal. I put the scoop in and pulled out a very unique looking item. I held it up for Henry to see, he came over and identified it as his jewelry. He was very happy to know he had it back, and I was happy to have made his day.

Platinum Wedding Band With Diamond Lost at Hermosa Beach, CA…Found and Returned.

Ryan called yesterday. He was at the beach with his friends, and playing beach games. When playing beach racquet ball, he swung at the ball, and felt his ring fly off of his finger. The good thing is that they had not moved form the area, and knew and approximate area of where the ring had come off. I let him know that I would come right away because time is always the enemy in a loss at a public beach or park area.

When I got to the beach I found that parking was crazy, so not to waste time I found a parking spot about 1 1/2 miles away, but on occasions such as busy weekends I bring a Segway MiniPro. I grabbed all my equipment, hopped on the Segway, and was at the spot of the loss within minutes. I walked out to the area, and Ryan showed me what had happened. I explained what I would be doing to conduct my search, and that I would show him everything I found. I began and found a bottle cap, a penny, another bottle cap, another bottle cap, another penny, then boom, a real good signal. I put the scoop in and pulled out a real nice heavy ring. I held it up, and Ryan was very excited. This ring had been custom made for him by his fiancé, and given in preparation for their upcoming marriage. He gave me a big hug, and everyone celebrated the recovery; what a great day!

Lost Mans White Gold Wedding Band In Ocean City Maryland Found

On 08/11/18, I received a call from Jeff requesting my help in finding his lost White Gold Wedding Band on the beach at 98th street in Ocean City, Maryland. Jeff said that he and his family were at the beach when he took his wedding band off and gave it to his wife before going swimming. Jeff’s wife put his ring in the cup holder of her chair. Jeff said that when they got ready to leave the beach they forgot that the ring was in the cup holder, they folded up the chair and left the beach. Jeff said that they realized that his ring was gone only after they had left the beach. Jeff said that he believed that his ring had either fallen out of the cup holder when they folded up the chair or that at some point it had fallen through the bottom of the cup holder because it had a hole in it that they did not know about. Jeff said that he and his family had gone back home and that he was no longer on vacation in Ocean City. Jeff provided a good description of the area at the 98th street beach where he felt that his ring was lost in the sand. I told Jeff that I would search for his ring but that it would be few hours later because I was not currently at home. I responded to the beach later on Saturday evening and began a search for the ring. I spent several hours looking in the area for the ring with no luck. I even had a visitor tell that I was in the right area because he had seen people with flashlights looking for something in the same spot on Friday evening. After an extensive search of the area and not finding the ring I placed a call to Jeff to see if he could offer any new information. Upon talking with Jeff, he directed me to an area that was only a few feet north of my original search area. On my third sweep of the new search area I heard a solid tone in my headset and upon digging into the sand I located the lost ring. I called Jeff back and gave him the good news, Jeff asked me to mail his ring back to him which I did and Jeff was nice enough to send me a picture of him holding his recovered lost ring.

Referral from another Ring Finder nets a lost ring in Mona Lake, Michigan

I received a text today at 3:11 pm from Alan O. telling me Tom Townsend (a Ring Finder) referred me as he was unavailable. Alan’s sister-in-law Stefanie C. was visiting Alan’s parents home on Mona Lake in Norton Shores, Michigan. Stefanie put her ring in Alan’s hat for safe keeping and it fell onto the dock and into the water. They thought it was about 3 feet of water on a sandy but weedy bottom. I texted Alan back right away and told him I could be out there, with my Ring Finder partner Dave Boyer, in about an hour.

When I got to the home we introduced ourselves and got our equipment out and went down to the water. We reached the end of the dock where the ring fell in and it was about chest deep. We searched an area where Alan felt the ring would have went in the water but didn’t get any signals so I searched under the dock because it had perforated holes big enough for a small ring to fall through. I got a good hit on the platinum ring and after 3 scoops there it was. Alan yelled up to the ladies sitting on the deck, « they found it! »

Lost Ring in the Gulf – FOUND!!!

This is an awesome ring that I actually recovered a couple of weeks ago but I’ve been waiting to post and keeping it safe until Patrick was able to get back down here from Huntsville, AL.  I love this story because it seems like what I would do if the situation was reversed.  Patrick called me after he and his wife had already gone home and told me that his wife had lost her ring in the Gulf of Mexico 9 days earlier! 😳  They had already contacted their insurance carrier and been told that they had a claim.  Unfortunately, as we all know, when you file a claim your future payments go up.  Most importantly, even though you may be able to pay for a replacement, you can never get back the actual ring that holds so many memories unless you go find it.  That’s why when Patrick and his wife stumbled across TheRingFinders.com and saw my page, they gave me a call.  I was feeling lucky having already found a ring that morning an hour away so I decided to head out to Pensacola Beach late that afternoon.  The people at the Margaritaville hotel were awesome and quickly gave me permission to park so that I could help out one of their previous guests.  When I got down to the beach I thought to myself that this would definitely be a record for wave height if I was able to find it.  I waded in and I was very quickly taking waves over my head (I’m 6’3” 😳) but luckily they were spaced out where I could work and I like a challenge.  Patrick gave fantastic directions over the phone and I must admit that I was surprised when after less than 10 minutes I heard a fantastic signal and I was able to gently scoop up this gorgeous ring buried about 7 inches down.  To say that Patrick was thrilled when I called him is an understatement!  I am so glad that they took a chance and reached out to me even after they thought it was lost forever!  What a great day!

Wow! What a weekend I had!! I went kayaking for a friend’s bachelorette party in the Hocking River. I ended up falling out of the kayak and losing my engagement ring, wedding ring, and my anniversary band in the river! I was completely devastated! After finishing up the river route, we went back to try to find my rings. The water was high and muddy, the currrent was fast, and it just felt like a lost cause. After returning home, I was searching online for some sort of way to attempt to find my rings. I came across this website. I thought it was a « shot in the dark » but definitely worth a try to get my rings back. I emailed Steve because he seemed to be the closest person to where I lost my rings. Within a half hour, he emailed me back. He said that he would love to try to find my rings and that he could meet me sometime THAT AFTERNOON!!! I was completely grateful that a complete stranger would be willing to take time out of his afternoon to come help me look for my rings. I believed that he was sent to me from God!

We met at the canoe livery to go back to the area where I had fell out of the kayak. He was very professional and allowed me to show him where I was in the water before he began his search. As he was searching, all I could do was pray that he would be directed into the right area where my rings were lost. Then, a lady was coming down the river in a kayak and did exactly what I did in my kayak (except I fell out and she didn’t). I pointed that out to Steve and he went right to that area to continue his search. Immediately, he said, »Now, don’t get too excited but I have a really strong tone here in this area ». He took his scoop and scooped that area to check for my rings. After scooping, he said, « Well, I still hear a tone there but since your rings are in two separate bands, I am gonna bring this one over to the sand bar (where I was standing) ». He dumped that scoop out and right on the top, fell my anniversary band. I was so completely overwhelmed with emotion that I grabbed the ring, put it on my finger, and began to scream and cry! Then, he said that he was going to go back to that same area because he still heard a tone there. He scooped again and brought it over to the sand bar to dump. After rummaging through the rocks and dirt of that scoop, I saw my engagement ring and wedding ring at the bottom of that pile!!!! I was so so grateful and excited that he found all of my rings that I put it on my hands, still dirty, and again screamed and cried! I was so happy!! Steve, then, asked to help me wash the rings before we left so that they would be clean again. I cannot thank this wonderful, God-sent angel enough for retrieving my rings for me!! I would definitely recommend this website, and especially Steve, to anyone looking for a chance to find their lost items! He is a great guy and truly enjoys this hobby of his!! Thank you again so much Steve for what you have done for me and my husband! This will be a story that we are going to tell everyone that we know so that we can spread how wonderful these people on this website can be!

A tip that helped me tremendously was when we saw the lady go sideways in her canoe and hit the log and about fall in, Lauren immediately pointed it out to me that that was what had happened to her so I then could visualize where she went in. Earlier I had taken an old ring of mine and tied it to a piece of fishing line, waited out into the current and dropped the ring in the water and noticed that the ring had only gone 2 to 4 feet downstream before it hit the bottom.

Found Wedding Band at 3rd Beach, Stanley Park.

I get a call from a young lady that told me her husband lost his titanium wedding band at 3rd beach in Stanley park. After asking a few questions I find out that he lost the ring 2 days ago, that’s a long time to be lost on a public beach. I looked up the low tie and it’s 10 am the next morning, so I get up at 4:30 am and head to the beach to hunt the water as its going out. I had to be at work at 10 am so I needed to find the ring quickly.

When I get there I kill some time searching the dry sand as the tide goes out, I was getting lots of change and lots of garbage but it wasn’t why I was there. Tide was starting to go out so I hit the area the ring was in and I start to do my grid search. After around 45 minutes of searching I get a good signal and one scoop later I see his Black titanium ring.

Lost Engagement Ring – Gulf Shores, AL – FOUND!!!

I love good people and I really love being able to help them out when they have lost a ring.  I met my new friends Christa and Ryan today in Gulf Shores, AL after reaching out to me about  the possibility of finding Christa’s rose gold and diamond engagement ring that she lost in the shore break yesterday.  They told me that they were here from Texas and Christa had been cooling off in the water and was walking out of the surf when she was knocked to her knees by a wave.  She immediately realized that her ring was gone and Ryan helped try to search down in the sand for it only to discover that it was missing.  Christa found me last night on TheRingFinders.com and I returned her email this morning.  Ryan and I got a chance to talk shortly thereafter and I knew I had to help them out immediately.  My kids and I headed that way despite the rain and found Ryan in the parking lot buying us a parking pass, what a great guy.  We walked down and met Christa on the beach and talked for a second.  I quickly lost focus and had to talk to a well meaning guy with a metal detector about how we were thankful but we didn’t want his help.  After hopefully explaining that I didn’t need his help and in fact his presence there was making my new friends very nervous, he finally stalked us from a bit farther away and I could get started.  This is why it’s so important to start looking for it immediately.  About 45 mins later, Christa and Ryan came and got me and confessed that they may have been down the beach to the east 40-50yds.  I was thrilled to hear it because this means they have really been thinking about where the ring is.  I quickly moved that way and started over my grid search and after several coins I finally found that sweet sound and and showed them the scoop.  You can tell by the pictures that they are very happy to get the ring back.  Thank you so much Ryan and Christa for trusting me with your treasure.
