I received a call a family member who referred a friend to me for a lost 14K engagement ring while playing with their children on the front lawn in a  leaf pile. The husband and wife had been searching since the day before, on their hands and knees for hours trying to locate the ring, with no success. I arrived the next morning, Nathan and his children were already outside to great me as I pulled into the driveway.

I immediately saw the large are of leaves on the right side of the house, and after Nathan gave me the run down I got started.  I started a quick grid around the leaf pile and by the time Nathan had reached the door to go inside I yelled  » I found it!! ». Nathan was stunned and so excited! Fast and furious recovery!!

I recently received a distress call from Kathleen, who sought assistance for her son Jacob. His cherished cross had snapped off during an energetic game of spikeball on the beach of Brigantine, NJ. After a detailed conversation with both Kathleen and Jacob, I gathered all the necessary information and set out to join Jacob without delay. Upon arrival, I initiated my search at the play area, methodically scanning the with my metal detector. It wasn’t long before the device’s tones signaled success—a strong, promising signal pierced the air. Moments later, the gleaming white gold cross emerged from its sandy hiding place. Jacob was ecstatic a clear testament to the cross’s sentimental value. Kathleen, expressed her profound gratitude. It was a touching reminder of the deep personal significance such items hold, and the joy of reuniting them with their owners.

If you have a lost ring in Brigantine, New Jersey give a call!

It happens, rings get thrown sometimes when stress is high. I was asked to see if I could find the last ring of four that were thrown. It was small and thin because it had diamonds all the way around. It was my pleasure to help this couple get this back. My only job is to find out where it went and to recover it. If you find yourself in a similar situation don’t hesitate to call for help.

LOST 14K ENGAGEMENT RING FOUND IN LAKE – LAKE ANNA VIRGINIA

I received a call from my dive buddy, Robert Ellis, to conduct a secondary dive trip at Lake Anna in Virginia to look for a woman’s 14K gold engagement ring. The customer was visiting the area while staying at a lake rental property with some friends for a pre-bridal shower weekend. Christina had the brand new engagement ring on her finger and was only swimming in about 3-4 feet of water when she realized the ring had fallen off.  Christina had contacted Robert about a week prior to which he had conducted an initial dive search of the area but did not locate the ring. Rob and I coordinated to meet at the Lake site, and upon arrival we discussed a strategy as he geared up to check the area closer to the dock. I told Bob I would grid in the area directly in the front beach area, approx. 20 yards from where he would be shallow diving. As Bob headed off I started laying my mainstay line to initiate the grid search using an Equinox Minelab 800 detector. As the water was shallow, I did have my wet suit on but didn’t gear up with air tanks until I was sure I need to carry the extra weight.

Once I set the mainstay line out I started sweeping to the right side of the line for about 30-40 feet, no luck. Then as I was coming back towards the shoreline on the left side the line I received a nice strong 12 VDI signal. I wasn’t quite sure it was the ring so I dug my hand slightly into the soft sandy soil then slowly lifted my hand to the surface, there it was, brightly shining, waiting to come out of the water, Christina’s engagement ring!! The customer was so ecstatic to have her ring back and ready for their special wedding day!! Congratulations to the wonderful couple!

I received a call from Ray (local Minister) out of Winchester Virginia as he was trying to locate someone to help him find his platinum wedding ring. Ray was spreading corn feed on the property when he realized his ring was no longer on his finger. I was able travel to his property quickly the same day and upon arrival I found Ray had two golf carts there and ready to get us to the site, I thought it must be a ways away to need these carts. After giving me a brief background on what happened we started driving through the woods to the spot where the ring was lost and arrived only about 5 minutes later after a very winding and rough drive through the woods!! The area wasn’t vey large but it was somewhat heavy loaded with metal trash which initially was concerning. I started a few gid patterns, then after about 40 minutes I came up on the ring sitting on the surface, easy peasie!!

Ray was so happy that the ring was found and in less than an hour. He was very grateful to be reunited with the ring and put it immediately back on his finger for safe keeping!! Great recovery!!

Ring Lost Raking Leaves, Recovered by Rob Ellis, Fredericksburg, VA.

  • from Fairfax (Virginia, United States)

Max texted me to help find his lost gold wedding band lost while raking leaves somewhere in his yard. Max was very interested in my metal detector, so I loaned him my spare. Most of his yard work took place in a specific area and that’s where we started the search. After about 20 minutes, I realized I needed to set up a grid for the entire yard. I set up my rope along the property line and I found the ring after only two passes!

In the open, and nobody saw it!

As you can see in the photo, the ring was barely covered by a leaf, sitting on some moss. I called Max over and pointed to the spot. When Max picked up his ring, his reaction was one of the most genuine, joyful displays of happiness I’ve witnessed finding rings.

Max’s Ring

Max immediately shared his find with his wife. On his return, Max told me how he and his wife had only been married for a short time. I do love this hobby!

Ring Found In Snowy Vermont

I got a message last night from a woman visiting Vermont who had lost her engagement ring. She had been skiing at Stowe, but was pretty sure she lost it at the rental house in a nearby town. Luckily, she had a picture of her just before they left the ski area showing that her ring was still on her finger. The rental house had a nice sledding hill in the backyard, so she took a sled down the slope with no gloves on. She was pretty sure that’s when the ring had come off. Just in case, they did a thorough search of the house before contacting me.

I got there early because they had to leave by 11:00. We got started and within about 3 minutes I got the perfect ring signal. I pushed some of the snow to the side with my boot and pushed the pinpointer into the snow, got a signal with that and there it was! We were all smiling about that!!!

Mercedes Key Fob lost sled riding in Philadelphia, PA…found and returned!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Andrew contacted me after a long unsuccessful search for his Mercedes key FOB that fell out of his pocket while sled riding with his kids in his backyard in Narberth, PA. We had about 4 inches of snow and it was obvious to both of us it was probably covered…so wait till spring or I could give it a shot with my  metal detector? He asked me to come over the next day and I was happy to do so. We walked the yard….he showed me where he was sledding….10 minutes into the search there they were! I was happy to help him avoid paying an exorbitant amount of $ for a replacement key FOB.

Meghan contacted me on December 22 regarding her lost ring. She had been on a volley ball court at the beach when it became lost, and because she was getting ready to travel, she was unable to meet me for the search. I let her know I would be able to help, but would need as much information as possible in order to find the ring. She agreed, and began to provide what I needed.

When I got to the beach, I found what I believed was the court to search, and began. I went over much of the court, and then decided to call Meghan to make sure I had everything correct. When we spoke I found that I had been searching the court next to the one she had been on, so I switched, and withing 5 minutes, I was able to let her know the ring was safe. She told me that she would be coming back after January 4th, so we met on the 8th for the return, This ring, made from a silver French Frank was to be her future wedding ring, so it had a great sentimental value for her. I was happy to help.
